Hjnintendofan John also plays bass. I don’t know who played piano. I’m guessing Paul. George played all the guitar tracks because he’s the most talented Beatle.
Owen Klein John and Paul played bass on this one. John on the six string and Paul on his Rick or Jazz Bass. Paul also plays piano on this as well. Paul also plays guitar on this track, including the solo. Yup, that’s a Paul solo. And if we’re talking technicalities, Paul is far and away the most gifted out of the four of them. George can’t play dozens of instruments like Paul
NT5 is about $200 D19 and D20 are no longer made, so it varies from $300-$600 each depending if your find a good deal. All three mics are versatile and will go a long way. NT5 is great for acoustic, electric amp (3-5ft back) D19 can be cool for vocals and acoustic too.
ringos' best drum track - they always say to me 'ringo was not the best - ringo was just a lucky man - ringo was not a beatle' when they say this, i remind them of this song. it's proof of why the beatles always kept him around. it's why he's the best rock in roll drummer. this is a rock in roll song - no one else could play rock like ringo.
secretagntman242 Ringo left the studio for couple of days, so Paul had to record drums for White Album songs, including this and Dear Prudence (I think). Ballad of John and Yoko is when George left the studio too. But, I don’t know if these are right. I just read them on internet.
Now the isolated plane noises
There is also a snare overdub on every offbeat.
Presumably played by John?
And a basic beat in the middle channel during the chorus. Could this be George's take?
Mango Smoothie Probably more likely Paul’s main take with the overdubbing spice afterward to give it a more “Ringo” feel.
It's great played 😊 👏 +1Like👍
This one was Paul, right?
Gabriel dG yep

hella funky 10/10
Wow. You can record that classic beatles sound with such success. Do you mind sharing what mics you use??
The overhead is an AKG D19 and the kick is a D20
We just try to get as close to what they say in "recording the Beatles" as possible- we also have a pencil condenser under the snare as well.
Oh right, we used a Rode NT5. The Beatles had a Neumann KM84, but I don't know if they used it for the snare
Ably House Isolated thanks! Any idea how much this setup would cost?

This song was played by Paul though... But yeah, ringo was good
@@robinenlennard ringo played drums in the beatles - not paul! lol
@@secretagntman242 I know that, but Paul drummed on a few white album songs (and also on the ballad of john & yoko) including this one. Look it up.
