Here's a glaring one: Dr. Jenner said when a person dies, only their brain stem comes back to life. However, walkers can see (which requires an active occipital lobe), smell (which requires active olfactory bulbs), and hear (which requires active temporal lobes). On top of that, if only the brain stem comes back, then why is EVERY head shot a kill shot? Most of the time, they're hitting parts of the head that are already dead anyway.
Joshua Reyes I always took it as; the brain stem is where the virus/bacteria/prion affects directly. Then, if it finds the sensory parts of the brain functional, it sublimates them as well. As for every head shot being a kill shot... That's just a fuck up. If the brain stem survives they should continue to trudge around. Albeit, blind or deaf or, even, full on mostly headless.
The one that annoys me more with Dr Jenner: after hearing definitive proof and seeing brain scans from a doctor at the CDC, they never mention this to people who are convinced there's some humanity left to the walkers. Why not? Don't they think some of these people might change their belief, if they inform them they have seen physical proof from the CDC that they have no access to their memories and no humanity left.
Daryl's infinite supply of crossbow bolts. Sure he occasionally pulls one out of a walker but he must have like a thousand of them hidden somewhere, cause he never carries them with him.
They confirm it in an earlier season that he makes bolts/arrows himself, don't quite remember what episode in what season, but you can see him sitting down with a knife making bolts in one of the scenes.
That did a lot of things in season 1, but mainly the first episode that zombies traditionally don't do. Like try to climb ladders, step over obstacles and apparently can open doors since more than once zombies appear in rooms and I am like ok, how did 1 get in there with all the doors closed and they weren't there before?
They've went long periods of time without any means to brush their teeth and yet they all had pearly whites. That's impossible. At least the movie The Road kept that detail realistic. Viggo's teeth were dark.
one thing that made no sense to me is how the scientist in the first season explains how the zombies only thought is to eat and thats alll we ever see from them, yet morgans wife in the first episode is smart enough to try and open the door with the door nob and look through the eye hole rather than bash it like the rest of the zombies in every episode ever.
Well for one women don't actually grow that much if any lip hair or facial hair. 2. Applie clean teeth to everyone and then you have a question. 3.you do relize those could actually be there eye brows. Not all eye brows are thic. I know mine aren't.
This might be one of the most explainable things in the TWD I mean females don’t have that much facial hair but even those who do can still keep basic grooming care. Is not like they are running 24/7 and never scavenging. I’m actually more bothered by the fact that even in their worst males and female still look like models walking out of a shooting session
the only kid walker in the show so far is Sophia (Carol’s daughter in season 1-3 is when she got bit) but you would think there would be more but if you think about it, they could also be scared of the zombie makeup if they are little toddlers and have to have them stay in character for the time being on the tv screen.
Well there is one incorrect thing on this list, whilst rick was in his coma a woman stayed behind in the hospital to tend to patients and keep the hospital in old shape and could have been the reason rick came out of his coma. It's in the webisodes.
Also it's the apocalypse. I'm pretty sure when the world turned to hell. The hospital was one of the first places that was raided for supplies. So if that's the case, where did she get the supplies to keep rick stable?, she also must've needed food and water so where did she get her supplies? Also I think Morgan said that it's been like 3 months in the apocalypse when he meets Rick.
they don't use the word zombie because no one invented the idea of zombies. They didn't know zombies existed until the outbreak because there were no zombie movies. I remember hearing this somewhere
That is so lame. That is like if nobody ever heard of vampires. Or werewolves. Calling them walkers and biters is like calling a werewolf a Dog Person or a vampire a Fancy Bloodsucker.
Agreed. I think in any story that draws on past conventions, you have to believe it is a universe in which this does not exist. Not always. You can have a vampire movie where they know what vampires are. But if you had superman and everyone went around saying, hey, you are superman just like in that old comic book, it wouldn't really make sense. In Star Trek, Spock never says, wow, this is just like an old TV show from the mid 20th century on earth. So many stories have a suspension of the existence of that one feature.
One of the hugest flaws to me is that whenever they kill a zombie, there's a great spray of arterial blood. 1. Since they're dead, there's no circulation, the blood would ooze if it hadn't coagulated completely. 2. The number of times (The episode where Reg Monroe died, for example) that people kill zombies, get a mouthful of blood, not to mention blood raining down on open wounds and don't get infected. Fairly certain that Rick in that episode drank a gallon of zombie blood. 3. Weapons, when swords/machetes or knives are used to kill walkers, they are coated in a viral material. Essentially becoming Level 4 biohazards, yet they are used over and over again and no one gets sick, not to mention the missed swing that hit Abraham on the arm -- that sword was coated in zombie effluence and he didn't get sick. If a bite transfers the virus (open wound contamination) then any of these other methods would also mean infection.
they are all infected..rick mentioned it before..they are "carriers" that is why when someone die without being bitten by walkers, they would turn..but yeah, doesn't make any sense with all the blood going through their eyes and mouths??? i still watch TWD though, despite all my whinings haha
@@02superkid Yes we know they are all infected and it will activate it death but certain things like direct contamination ie: a bite, hasten the process. Looking at General rules of virology, if a bite will infect you, direct contamination by cut or blood contamination with also instantly accelerate the virus. People who are cut or consume large amounts of blood or goo, should rightfully develop a fever, die, and get zombified.
Oh, I thought you meant actual plot things that don't make sense, not some continuity errors and production compromises. Why research when you can copypaste the goofs section from IMDB
One thing that has always bothered me is the fact that you hardly see any flies even though theres a bunch of walking, rotting corpses. You would think maggots would be consuming the zombies.
What gets me the most is the fact that a walker can be taken down with just about any damage to the brain. According to the MRI thingamajingy at the CDC, only a small part in the back of the brain is active, so to put one down, the brain stem would need to be taken out, a screwdriver through the eye should do fuck all but annoy a Z.
I'm not sure this show would know how to use the whisperers. They are frightening in the comic but the show botches so many things great about the comics I doubt they will do them right.
Not true Dave. The show has done a load of things better than the comics. The cannibals, the claimers (they had a different name in the comics), the Saviours, Farm arc, No Way Out etc are all better in the show.
The Cannibals were half assed in the show and were given a backstory that did not matter the only thing they did right was the Tainted Meat scene and the Massacre in the church also i feel like thats the one arc they should have added more to in terms of how long conflict would last but no just 3 eps and we lose a great group of Antagonists The saviors are just really easy to hate in both versions The farm had great moments but was way too long and boring No way out only problem i had was how fast Rick recovered from losing Jesse and Sam, zero sympathy unlike in the comics
Agreed ...... Negan should have been killed many (MANY!!) times over by now .... 1. Rosita should have gotten a good head shot in as close as she was - yet somehow Lucille took the bullet? .... 2. When Carl pulls out a FUCKING MACHINE GUN to mow Negan down and somehow, despite standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM, Carl never manages to hit Negan at all - just some henchmen! ... 3. When 2+ of Negans wives wanted poisoned pills from Eugene to kill Negan and he refuses in the end (Eugene if a coward but there ws no reason not to try this one!!) ...... 4. When the Saviors and garbage people attack Alexandria and the Hilltop and the Kingdom show up to kill Saviors and 'Heapsters', somehow every bullet misses Negan (including a bunch of people firing machine guns at the truck he escapes in with it's CLOTH doors ..... 5. When the entire group shows up at the Sanctuary and Negan is standing on the balcony with his top lieutenants and NONE OF THEM took a bullet somehow (I mean - seriously, they couldn't kill Simon or Gavin or maybe that God awful cunt Arat (even though she wasn't there for the scene - she should have bee and she should have died!!) .... 6. When Father Gabriel took a couple shots point blank and somehow MISSED Negan ..... 7. When Rick sideswiped Negans car and was peppering the turned over car with his machine gun - which he stops to reload, but STILL Negan is in the doorway when he opens fire again and he would have hit him here for sure! ..... Negan easily should have been killed by a huge number of factors ..... however, the issue here is that, had any one of these killed Negan then the fight would be over already (or before it even began possibly). The show has had enough of a time staying interesting whilst trying to get 16 episodes out each season and inserting several 'filler episodes' each season in order to do so ..... it'd really suck if Negan were simply killed off and the last 2 years of story line was condensed to a couple episodes.
moe aung If you're talking about the part where they captured them and took *all* of their guns, and we're *surrounded* by *Hundreds* of the so called "Negans" . Well. There's ur answer
Zombie apocalypse... That's just the silliest concept ever. I mean, once people realize that these slow, brain damaged creatures can easily be killed or avoided, the apocalypse wouldn't last long. Or move to a cold climate where they'd just freeze solid in the winter. At least in Dawn of the Dead, the zombies ran. Then, they'd be dangerous. Walkers? Their only weakness is a brisque walk. A zombie apocalypse in Texas would be a comedy. It would be a 15 minute short film.
Paulafan5, I enjoyed the Dawn Of remake. But it very u realistic that dead woukd run. Colder environments would give longer life (or unlife) to the Walkers.
Not just the governor... everyone had pristine aim vs walkers, but magically turned into stormtroopers while facing humans. Also, when gov executes a certain someone, why on earth would he pick that person when the person he was obsessed with was right next to him?
Colin Moln Are you referring to the CDC? That always bothered me 😂 The governor was responsible for killing plenty of humans bc they were unsuspecting....
You might always hear this, but the military isn’t trained to fight the walkers so they wouldn’t know what to do, yes they have tanks but they can’t just bring an M1 Abrams and fire shells all over a neighborhood over some walking corpses, in one of the season intros there’s a scene with helicopters dropping napalm over Atlanta, which could explain why there’s abandoned military vehicles
@@jrlgarage ah yes becuase rick and the rest of his group are obviously magically trained more than the U.S. military. So they can't bring an m1 Abrams tank but they can napalm and entire city? Okay yep sure makes about as much sense as tanks, offshore warships and air support being infective because? ????
Richard David. Sanchez III i wanna say the tanks were there to show civilians something serious was happening and in a way “intimidate” them, maybe before the firebombing all land and grounded air vehicles were abandoned due to the Napalm strikes being used in an act of emergency and “last resort” against the walkers in hope of stopping them, nukes couldn’t be used because that would just radiate the atmosphere (walkers are everywhere) and would do more damage than help, plus they would completely devastate cities and using tanks and helicopters against the walkers would be too costly. I also think the nation was in a “Great Depression” economical state meaning the government was tight on tactics and expenses for the incident
Madison Baldwin but even then, you have to remember that they're zombies, which means they're dead... which means they're decaying... which means there's no way they have that much strength.
@@lucifer8903 actually, there's a factor that cancels this out. walkers' nerves are all dead. they cant feel pain, which means they can use all the strength possible in the average human body. if they learned to fight, we would be fucked
WASTING ALL THE AMMO ON WINDOWS IN SEASON 8 EP 1!!!! B4 THEY WERE WORRIED ABOUT WASTING AMMO,,,NOW IT SEEMS THEY HAVE ALL THE AMMO IN THE WORLD AS THEY SHOOT OUT WINDOWS 4 NO APPARENT REASON...
Wouldn't mosquitos transmit the virus and infect everyone? Also, if they have nothing to eat, shouldn't the Walkers be all dead? Dead dead, not undead.
They have clean clothes when they are doing well. In Alexandria they have appliances and electricity. Hot showers and hair cuts.... You obviously do not watch the show.
A good one is how the us government is nonexistent even though the usa's military is overly funded and is bloated so the us military would have no problem dealing with so many zombies, another being that a decomposing body wouldn't last more than a year especially if it's walking in the rain and sun so all the walkers would decompose after only a year.
I believe #3 was covered in the Webisodes. There was a nurse who stayed and looked after her patients after the outbreak, which explains why Rick survives his coma. Or it is maybe all a dream? Who the fuck really cares about this shows plot anymore?
You are correct. That wasn't even something they should have missed at all. I never even saw that webisode but i heard about why he was so well taken care of. I wonder why they didn't.
He wrote on Twitter: “Rick is NOT still in a coma.”, “The events of TWD are definitely happening.” However he then wrote: “But Carl and everyone else are all imagined. He actually NEVER found his family. He's been crazy since he killed his first zombie. #joking?”
Look! It's Jesus! - Then why do most people close one eye to aim? Two eye only help with depth perception, he is just guessing how far away it is, a bullet travels fairly far without losing much height. If the Governor was shooting a arrow or throwing a grenade or something he might have more of an issue
Well, the scope was situation top, centre. So you can use it with either eye. The big snafu is that he is holding it against the wrong cheek to be able to use the scope with his good eye,
really, really bad excuse and also: no! because logic... but watch it if you like it. I rather do something fun and watch something with an actual story instead
Ooodles not only does zombies not exist in the walking dead universe, in the comics they are called Roamers. The tv show calls them walkers. Now lurkers is a comic thing I think. A lurker is a walker/roamer that looks dead and when you get close they attack. Like the walker that bite Hershel's leg.
That’s why there are people that annoyingly look at walkers like they’re just “sick” or “different”- they might actually be afraid of them if they were called “zombies.”
+FrennisDaemon No, not the body. YOUR FACE has your eyes, nose and mouth.... MOUTHS that were wide open while they were killing zombies that were on top of them as its blood splattered all over their face. Let's not forget the eyes that were not shielded what so ever. If this happened in real life and the person that's in the place of the zombie was infected with AIDS, the person at the bottom would freak out and might be in trouble. This zombie virus is more aggressive, deadly and affects are immediate. If that got into your mouth or eyes, it's in your system. Game over.
Well, if you watch the show, everyone is already infected with what turns you into a zombie after death. Getting bitten just gives you an infection that can't be treated with antibiotics, so kills you. Hence, it makes sense that a bit/scratch would give you a fatal infection but blood on intact skin wouldn't matter.
They didn't really run, more of a light sprint. The reason for that though is because the walkers in Season 1 were more fresh since they'd all recently turned in the about the past 2 months so thus unless they had a major injury to their lower half most of their muscle tissue down there was still somewhat intact (if not just starting to decompose). By season 7, most of the walkers have been walkers for about 2 years and decomposition has taken a toll on their body, furthermore, it's possible that in those 2 years that they would have received injuries such as muscle tissue being torn due to them just walking around for example. That's why they sprint at the start & limp right now.
Daniel Mart thank you for that detailed answer but what about people who recently died and become walkers. They seem to have the same slow walk as the rest of the dead.
We don't really see that many people reanimate into a walker nowadays. The last few people who reanimated were Owen (one of the Wolves), & some of the Saviors that attacked Daryl, Rosita, & Denise which includes Niel & 4 other as well as Gordon & a red haired savior. Don is really the only example I can think of as he's someone who turned but was sill fast. Owen was shot in the stomach & devoured from the stomach. It's possible he couldn't even stand as Morgan killed him while he was on the ground crawling Niel & The 4 other Saviors were all shot & it's possible that may have affected their movement. Furthermore they were all partally devoured Gordon was shot in the back & is only seen reanimated as part of the Sanctuary's walker fence so it's unknown how limited his walking speed is The Red Haired survivor was brutally beaten up so it's possible he may have sustained an injury that would have affected his movement but similarly to Gordon it's unknown as he to is part of the Sancturary's walker fence Don is probably the best example as he did reanimate but was tied up by Carol & Maggie as part of a trap in hope of them killing Polly, Michelle, &/or Molly. Molly quickly killed him after he bit her but given the fact that he did bite her he did have to be both quick & strong enough to do so (which granted he was taller & younger than her & a guy compared to her who was an older lady with visible health conditions but still)as it's rather likely that had it been any other random decomposing walker, she likely would've been able to take it out without any injuries. All in all newer walkers are still faster & stronger but since we don't see them all that often it's something we just don't notice.
This is another question I have about TWD but it's not about the walker's speed but about being infected. We learn on the show that every human has the virus and they will each turn once they die. So we know a walker's bite isn't what turn people into zombies. But we also see people who were bitten begin to catch a fever and eventually die, and this leads me to believe that it is the blood lose from the bite that kills you. But then we see rick chop off Hershel's leg to stop the infection from spreading, which again makes it seem like it is the walker's bite that is killing them and not the blood lose.
one thing i didn't understand was how glenn never died when he had the infected tube down his throat. when everyone at the prison was getting sick and they used the tube and pump on someone who eventually turned who was infected. if killing the infected walkers and getting the blood on them could probably kill them, then how did removing the tube from the infected walkers throat and put it in glenn's without cleaning not kill him ?
Why the hell don't hey have dogs? Even in the distopian Terminator future they were smart enough to keep 'man's best friend' around to be an early warning system. A dog could have saved Ed, Jim, and Amy in season 1, sure the 'big hordes would probably have killed the dog if it didn't run away.. but any dog out there could outrun the walkers.... What put the hole in the prison? The 'back way' into the prison was basically out in the woods. Walkers didn't claw through that reinforced concrete, so.. what did? Why the hell didn't the Green family mention ... oh, btw, we found a little 12 year old walker girl this morning... didn't you say you were looking for a girl like that? With nothing to eat at the High School, why were so many walkers still there in Season 2? When their eyes and ears are all rotted out, how are walkers still 'hunting'? The brain stem that is still active in therm isn't the part of the brain that analyzes what sights or sound or even smells mean, so how are they trracking anything? At least Zombies raised by a Necromancer can use that 'They See Life' BS, but not Walkers... Given the scavenging nature of the show, why is it that they always seem to have plenty of ammo and properly fitted clothing?
@@novemberidk9600 BS. Mr Green knew OTIS found her and said as much in the show. Not to mention, the girls were feeding them chickens, they noticed the extra child zombie, I'm sure. Its just bad writing...
Am I the only one who thinks Rob Zombie needs to have a cameo? Maybe put him in one of the more light-hearted episodes. Heck, just make him a walker that recently died so some of us can recognize him.
Tell my why when Lori died in season 3, Glenn and Abraham died is season 6/7, oh and in the mid season 6 when Carl’s eye was shot off Rick had a bigger reaction to those than when Carl ACTUALLY died. He was literally acting like it was just another regular day! He wasn’t even there when Carl shot himself before it was too late he should have been in the same room like when Andrea shot herself in the third season michonne stayed with her and they were just friends but carl was/is Ricks son. Was he too shocked to be there? His reaction afterwards wasn’t even as big as a few episodes after Lori died and rick went crazy Ricks like fine with it.
One thing that gets to me is when they run into people who seem to have no idea what is going on, or how to survive; Sam was a good example of this. He and his girlfriend talked like they just discovered the apocalypse, and seemed to have no skills that would have taken them this far into one.
How about how Glen magically fell off the dumpster with his head away from the dumpster and then he's suddenly headed toward the dumpster and none of the walkers take notice of him. That was where I called it a day for this series.
@@nishh6852 Yes, I am very aware of the scene in question. I am sorry that you don't understand geography, current events, or humor. May God look favorably upon you :)
It's explained how rick survived the coma in one of the webisodes (he was taken care by one of the nurses who survived up until rick woke up). As for the guts thing, it was confirmed in s8 that it can make you sick so using it all the time is probably more risk than it's worth.
5:08 this was made clear in the episode where Negan and the preacher used this technique and Negan pointed out the very real idea that it would likely make you sick. Just sayin
No one can smell a zombie or even hear them sneaking up from behind . Crossbows are hard to reload = dumb weapon of choice. Also skulls are much harder than cantaloupes, try stabbing a coconut.
One thing that really bugs me is when Hershal lost his leg & we see him on crutches for a while & then all of a sudden we see him walking around like he has a leg again! If this was going to happen they should have written into the story that they somehow found a prosthetic leg while out searching for supplies or gotten one some other way, & they were able to fit it to Hershal & he learned to use it. It's just too big of a detail to just change all of a sudden.
Alisa Ament well the fact that they found a prosthetic leg is just, *there* in plain sight, why show how they got it, in my opinion it’d be a waste of time for something small
The answer to #3 can be found in an online series. Do better research! There was a nurse who stayed behind, and somehow survived the police raid, to care for any patients (like Rick) who were left behind. She moved the furniture around in Rick's room (go watch before/after shots) and placed the board on the "don't-dead-open-inside" doors. However, this nurse would often kill her patients, if she deemed that there was no way for them to survive. Another male character, seeking help, shot and killed her for trying to kill his friend. He then chained/locked the aforementioned doors, and left, having no knowledge of Rick's existence. So there was somebody there to change out Rick's IV bags, and to run the equipment. Rick probably woke up less than a week after the aforementioned events, his body starving from the lack of nutrition it'd be getting from the IVs.
one thing I've been noticing is that when characters like the Governor or Andrew are supposedly surrounded and about to be killed by walkers you see the Rick or Andrea listening to the sounds of them screaming, but then they somehow survive the attack.
Season 4 Episode 1: When the group goes on a supply run to a supermarket she sees a cardboard cutout of a ZOMBIE!! Then she smirks as she cuts it down. This shows that there obviously were Zombies in fiction in the world of the walking dead
Thomas Silcock Sarcasm is hard to translate through text. Seriuosly though, they're just giving you answera cause they think you're slow.................................
The biggest problem is also the problem of zombie movies and shows in general, with no lungs breathing and no heart pumping blood the muscles die, so zombies wouldnt even be able to move. Regardless, I still love zombie movies and The Walking Dead.
one thing that has always irked me is that with the world gone to shit... where are all the animals?? i would think there would be an explosion in the deer, rabbit, squirrel, raccoons, turkeys, feral chickens, fish and just about any non-domesticated animal. Daryl would think hed died and gone to heaven.. instead all we see him eating in the bush are raw squirrels and worms..., not to mention the occasional feral dog. one way to explain it would be the walkers ate them all.. but if thats the case, i wish they would address the subject in some manner...
Rufo Rufo um there *is* animals... many birds, horses, squirrels and rabbits are shown, also not to mention King Eziekiel’s tiger Shiva. I’d hope to see dogs or something
My biggest beefs with the story: 1. In season 2, when they met the scientist at the CDC in Atlanta, he told them that everyone has the virus in them, though the still-living are somehow immune to its effects. If so, then why would they have to be killed if they get bit? Wash that bite out and stitch it up, and be good! 2. OK, a corpse, animated or not, wouldn't last more than probably a few weeks before all the soft tissue - muscles included - would decompose and simply slough off the skeleton. The brain stem that controls all the dead-mode mobility would decompose just as fast, and fail. The 'zombie apocalypse' wouldn't actually last very long before every zombie was a pile on the ground. 3. Lori's missing skeleton, that really bugged me. 4. The incessantly repeating format, nonstop cruelty, and slow pace make it too hard to watch, I got disinterested years ago and stopped watching. I don't even care anymore what direction they decide to go with this show, I'm done.
What I never got my head around is: why is everyone in short sleeves or very light clothing? You don't need a suit of armor to stop a bite. An ordinary motorcycle jacket would do the trick.
Since I have no life and was curious I looked it up, the internet said that the zombie dragged Loris body to the back cell as you can see by the blood trail lol
Some flaws concerning the walkers biology: I guess its somewhat realistic that a disease could turn us into zombies, but what makes no sense at all is how a decapitated walkers head can move (use its muscles) if its not connected to its lungs. I mean we have lungs for a reason. They supply our muscles with oxygen so they can function. Their whole resperatory system would have to work in order for them to even move. Also a walker would have to die of hunger after a while if it didnt eat. How else would it gain energy to move. Walkers have the body of a human so they have to tend to its needs like eating, sleeping and breathing. Only the mind of a walker is different.
The thing that always bothered me is that the zombies all look the same. I might've forgotten something, but I don't remember one zombie that had like colorful clothes, crazy hair, tattoos or something.
Biggest mistakes:- only Rick's beard was growing & he had to shave when they reached Alexandria! What about Daryl, Abraham...hell what about Glenn? 😂 What about the women how were they having clean body, shaved legs, arms & armpits 😂😂😂
y is nobody talking abt michonne with walkers slaves thing? like they could've just do that to 1542425 of them and put them in front of the walls or gates, wherever they were
On ricks coma thing there was webepisode that shows a doctor and 2 other people that stayed in the hospital that rick was in and it is it because they are the ones who write don't open dead inside so they could of took care of him
You can't do the guns with too many shots, movies and tv shows have done that forever, its expected. The biggest flaw in the walking dead is the amount of opportunities to kill negan that no one has took advantage of. The last time i checked he was in a trailer with a bat, also Gabriel was there....with a big gun.
sheiladmj Gabriel's a pansy, and Herschel had the best shotgun in the world when they took his farm. That shotgun only holds y rounds, he got like 20 shots from it.
It really confuses me when in one episode, the characters have cuts, bruises and black eyes, and then the next episode they’re all gone. Yet 2 seasons can go by and nobody needs a haircut?!
This is the South 😂- in America there’s no shortage of ammo. But there are times when they have to be resourceful and use other weapons, hence Daryl’s crossbow with resusable arrows & Michonne’s swords. They also show when they pilfer abandoned homes, police stations, stores sell bullets too 🤦🏽♀️
Montae Williams Yeah I know it's the USA. But they really haven't shown the group looking for ammo. And plus if we are years after the break out that ammo will deplete sooner or later.
TheWedabest “supplies” include food, tools, ammo/weapons, toiletries, clothing, shoes etc. It’s a given- any time they kill someone or go on a sweep, obviously they’ll be scouting for ammo too. Anything they can carry. If the breakout spread within 2 months, and season eight is only about 2 yrs after - they wouldn’t have depleted all the ammo available in the state yet.
Unless the apocalypse was caused by Colgate or Trident, I'm pretty sure zombie teeth would break out of their gums if they tried to bite anything tougher than applesauce.
They can last for a few years, and can be easily "regenerated" with some basic knowledge in chemistry or some experience as a car mechanic back when they needed maintenance. Or even made from scratch like ammo, with the help of someone like Eugene ;)
Gasoline takes many years to go bad if it's kept in a relatively closed container. If it's left in just an open bucket, or something, then it will be useless.

However, walkers can see (which requires an active occipital lobe), smell (which requires active olfactory bulbs), and hear (which requires active temporal lobes). Because it's a TV show. You are not wrong. It is not exactly scientific.

randy7027 the frist season is the best so i dnot know what you are talking about
randy7027 and the zombies having some traits of the human before they died whould make sence why some people thought they were sick
Primer 202 Yeah man i forgot about that lol
That did a lot of things in season 1, but mainly the first episode that zombies traditionally don't do. Like try to climb ladders, step over obstacles and apparently can open doors since more than once zombies appear in rooms and I am like ok, how did 1 get in there with all the doors closed and they weren't there before?
Biggest flaw: the amazing teeth on everyone.
Wyatt Corbin they barely have any sugar ever + rick mentions a few times that they brush their teeth
They've went long periods of time without any means to brush their teeth and yet they all had pearly whites. That's impossible. At least the movie The Road kept that detail realistic. Viggo's teeth were dark.
Denji2006 effing love that movie!
charcoal
If you actually watched the show, you'd see that they brush their teeth. You see them do it in Episode 10 of Season 6.
one thing that made no sense to me is how the scientist in the first season explains how the zombies only thought is to eat and thats alll we ever see from them, yet morgans wife in the first episode is smart enough to try and open the door with the door nob and look through the eye hole rather than bash it like the rest of the zombies in every episode ever.
because tv...
来.lucifer nah because the director changed so the show changed, he wanted the zombies to have memories but that’s a nono
I thought it was because the writers in the early seasons got fired
Why does every female on TWD have a clean shave, waxed upper lip, no body hair, clean teeth and, plucked eyebrows? Lmao
and perfect, shampooed hair, always.....
On the shaved things, in their real life I imagine the dont want hairy under arms
I guess hygiene is still important to them.
Where are the kid walkers. There should be more kids than adults
Maybe they escaped in order to find a future and safety?
Yes i was waiting for cute toddler walkers
@@leebreviews9217 - In a Baby Bjorn strapped to another walker.
Kids are more weak so they might got eat than just bit
the only kid walker in the show so far is Sophia (Carol’s daughter in season 1-3 is when she got bit) but you would think there would be more but if you think about it, they could also be scared of the zombie makeup if they are little toddlers and have to have them stay in character for the time being on the tv screen.
Well there is one incorrect thing on this list, whilst rick was in his coma a woman stayed behind in the hospital to tend to patients and keep the hospital in old shape and could have been the reason rick came out of his coma. It's in the webisodes.
saul henderson it would also explain how rick managed to wake up without bedsores which are extremely painful
saul henderson Agreed, they really didn't do their research
Well you saved me from having to post about it. Thumbs up for you.
saul henderson than why was the bed still in front of the door his hair and beard didn't grow and how did he eat or go to the bathroom
I remember hearing this somewhere
nvm i said this before u explained it
That is so lame. That is like if nobody ever heard of vampires. Or werewolves. Calling them walkers and biters is like calling a werewolf a Dog Person or a vampire a Fancy Bloodsucker.
Because if people were familiar with zombies, they'd easily deal with the Walker Apocalpyse and there wouldn't be a show.
Zombies ain't part of pop culture in this world so other words are used
D. Adam lol they made it so it's only the saliva that seems to turn them. Which doesn't make sense in and of itself
they are all infected..rick mentioned it before..they are "carriers" that is why when someone die without being bitten by walkers, they would turn..but yeah, doesn't make any sense with all the blood going through their eyes and mouths??? i still watch TWD though, despite all my whinings haha
Because the virus only activates at the death of the person
I noticed that too. Too many people getting cut with blades that must have some of the nastiest germs ever on them
@@02superkid Yes we know they are all infected and it will activate it death but certain things like direct contamination ie: a bite, hasten the process. Looking at General rules of virology, if a bite will infect you, direct contamination by cut or blood contamination with also instantly accelerate the virus. People who are cut or consume large amounts of blood or goo, should rightfully develop a fever, die, and get zombified.
It was cool that Hershel unlocked the infinite ammo code. Too bad he didn't unlock the infinite family code
Ouuuuch lol
He did but, Dawn shot Beth in the head making her unable to turn.......

Madison Baldwin that makes no sense lol
Oh, I thought you meant actual plot things that don't make sense, not some continuity errors and production compromises. Why research when you can copypaste the goofs section from IMDB
FlowersInHisHair there are some actual plot things I've noticed though . dunno why he didn't mention those cause they're pretty big
One thing that has always bothered me is the fact that you hardly see any flies even though theres a bunch of walking, rotting corpses. You would think maggots would be consuming the zombies.
What gets me the most is the fact that a walker can be taken down with just about any damage to the brain. According to the MRI thingamajingy at the CDC, only a small part in the back of the brain is active, so to put one down, the brain stem would need to be taken out, a screwdriver through the eye should do fuck all but annoy a Z.
drinking walker is a whisperer ;)
I'm not sure this show would know how to use the whisperers. They are frightening in the comic but the show botches so many things great about the comics I doubt they will do them right.
Not true Dave. The show has done a load of things better than the comics. The cannibals, the claimers (they had a different name in the comics), the Saviours, Farm arc, No Way Out etc are all better in the show.
Dunny2k no way out and Saviors are not better in the show that is a joke
The Cannibals were half assed in the show and were given a backstory that did not matter the only thing they did right was the Tainted Meat scene and the Massacre in the church also i feel like thats the one arc they should have added more to in terms of how long conflict would last but no just 3 eps and we lose a great group of Antagonists
The saviors are just really easy to hate in both versions
The farm had great moments but was way too long and boring
No way out only problem i had was how fast Rick recovered from losing Jesse and Sam, zero sympathy unlike in the comics

How is it possible for a decaying, reeking corpse to sneak up on anyone who has an even halfway functional sense of smell?
The problem was why didn't no one shoot negan when he talking
moe aung because they’re surrounded
Quiet xxo not even
Because he's fucking awesome?

It would be a 15 minute short film.
the bigger concern is when other warlord/survivors turn the place into madmax....
Paulafan5
Anywhere in America. Not just Texas. I live in Pennsylvania and we are all pretty armed up here, too.
between that and the mountainous/forested terrain , PA is a rather versatile state
Steve Von Doom
Sure is
Paulafan5, I enjoyed the Dawn Of remake.
That Is obvious, just think like a villain for a sec, you dont want to kill who you hate until they have suffered
How does a group of survivors with shotguns and pistols last longer than any of the armed forces with tanks fast air and helicopters
Colin Moln Are you referring to the CDC? That always bothered me 😂
The governor was responsible for killing plenty of humans bc they were unsuspecting....
Colin Moln watch ftwd s1 and 3
@@jrlgarage ah yes becuase rick and the rest of his group are obviously magically trained more than the U.S.
There’s a very logicial reason for Hershal and his infinite shotgun rounds. he’s an NPC, they always have infinite ammo
What I don't get is how the hell do the walkers rip the skin open on a horse with their bare hands when a horses skin is a massive thick layer 😂 🤷🏻
Heather collins They have sharp nails to cut through flesh :)
I’m sure they bit it and then stared pulling it apart
Madison Baldwin
but even then, you have to remember that they're zombies, which means they're dead... which means they're decaying... which means there's no way they have that much strength.
@@lucifer8903 actually, there's a factor that cancels this out. walkers' nerves are all dead. they cant feel pain, which means they can use all the strength possible in the average human body. if they learned to fight, we would be fucked

and they kill loads of armed saviours to find guns but don't pick them off the floor -_-
Wouldnt the walkers have maggets all over them. Also wouldnt the world have alot more bugs.
Wouldn't mosquitos transmit the virus and infect everyone? Also, if they have nothing to eat, shouldn't the Walkers be all dead? Dead dead, not undead.
Everyone is already infected.
And since theyre already infected, why arent they turning (until dead)?

Running out of walking dead lists I see.
A good one is how the us government is nonexistent even though the usa's military is overly funded and is bloated so the us military would have no problem dealing with so many zombies, another being that a decomposing body wouldn't last more than a year especially if it's walking in the rain and sun so all the walkers would decompose after only a year.
The government are behind it all. Mark my words, it will be revealed as a huge experiment for a bioweapon or some shit the US has built.
Major Violator that would be an interesting twist
Read World War Z
Student Hunter Schroeder "olympic face palm"
Zombies don't decompose. Just because they are soldiers doesn't mean they are invincible.
It's explained how Rick survived, a nurse was taking care of him till nearly when he woke up
How can a zombie head with no body make any sound
Karima Lakhdar don't you question it!!!
Lol true
Im confused about what your asking you don’t need a body to make sound if the walkers brain is not killed it’s mouth can make sound

All of the women somehow find time to shave their armpits during the apocalypse.
And Carl still couldn’t get a haircut
I believe #3 was covered in the Webisodes. There was a nurse who stayed and looked after her patients after the outbreak, which explains why Rick survives his coma. Or it is maybe all a dream? Who the fuck really cares about this shows plot anymore?
You are correct. That wasn't even something they should have missed at all. I never even saw that webisode but i heard about why he was so well taken care of. I wonder why they didn't.
TheDampSquid Plot Armor!
Kirkman confirmed it wasn't a dream or some shit.
He wrote on Twitter: “Rick is NOT still in a coma.”, “The events of TWD are definitely happening.” However he then wrote: “But Carl and everyone else are all imagined. He actually NEVER found his family. He's been crazy since he killed his first zombie. #joking?”
TheDampSquid who cares? Literally the 10s of millions and millions of people that watch the show on the daily probably care. Lol
What's wrong with Governor's aim? You don't need 2 eyes to aim.
AlphaLeader772 uhhhh,welll,its harder with only 1 eye
Look! It's Jesus! - Then why do most people close one eye to aim? Two eye only help with depth perception, he is just guessing how far away it is, a bullet travels fairly far without losing much height. If the Governor was shooting a arrow or throwing a grenade or something he might have more of an issue
AlphaLeader772
Well you see, when the scope covers the eye that is eye patched it makes it an issue.
Yeah, but usually you just don't close the other eye since you can't and that's it. How do you think Solid Snake uses weapons?
Well, the scope was situation top, centre. So you can use it with either eye. The big snafu is that he is holding it against the wrong cheek to be able to use the scope with his good eye,
biggest flaw: the most emotionally fragile people surviving an apocalypse!
Philipp Niemann more likely that they are the most emotionally stable and the apocalypse has made them unhinged.
really, really bad excuse and also: no! because logic... but watch it if you like it. I rather do something fun and watch something with an actual story instead
Philipp Niemann that fan art though
Philipp Niemann the biggest flaw is that it's been a bad show since the 3rd season
Wait a minute, Glenn made it pretty far and well... yeah, everyone else is fucked up.
Zombies don’t exist in the walking dead world
Ooodles the writer actually comfirmed that
Just walkers
Kiara St Onge and geeks like they called them in season 1
Ooodles not only does zombies not exist in the walking dead universe, in the comics they are called Roamers. The tv show calls them walkers. Now lurkers is a comic thing I think. A lurker is a walker/roamer that looks dead and when you get close they attack. Like the walker that bite Hershel's leg.
That’s why there are people that annoyingly look at walkers like they’re just “sick” or “different”- they might actually be afraid of them if they were called “zombies.”
Biggest flaw is if a zombie bits you, scratches you you turn but if you put zombie blood on yo face.. nothing! Lol
Harjaben Harris
Blood/ guts on your skin/ clothes, won't get into your body (unless you're incompetent), much less your bloodstream.
+FrennisDaemon
No, not the body.
Blood in the mouth and eyes would matter.
Possibly because none of us actually know how the virus and infection works so they can pretty much do what they want
one thing I don't get from the show is why the walkers used to run back in the first season and now they just walk and limp around
Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoya De la Rosa Ramírez because they are decomposing
Daniel Mart thank you for that detailed answer but what about people who recently died and become walkers. They seem to have the same slow walk as the rest of the dead.
We don't really see that many people reanimate into a walker nowadays. The last few people who reanimated were Owen (one of the Wolves), & some of the Saviors that attacked Daryl, Rosita, & Denise which includes Niel & 4 other as well as Gordon & a red haired savior. Don is really the only example I can think of as he's someone who turned but was sill fast.
Owen was shot in the stomach & devoured from the stomach. It's possible he couldn't even stand as Morgan killed him while he was on the ground crawling
Niel & The 4 other Saviors were all shot & it's possible that may have affected their movement. Furthermore they were all partally devoured
Gordon was shot in the back & is only seen reanimated as part of the Sanctuary's walker fence so it's unknown how limited his walking speed is
The Red Haired survivor was brutally beaten up so it's possible he may have sustained an injury that would have affected his movement but similarly to Gordon it's unknown as he to is part of the Sancturary's walker fence
Don is probably the best example as he did reanimate but was tied up by Carol & Maggie as part of a trap in hope of them killing Polly, Michelle, &/or Molly.
Lol just because they're in a zombie apocalypse doesn't mean that they couldn't clean their car😂
Plot twist this is all a dream and Rick wakes up from his coma in the end
Hed be mad to see Lori.
A lot would make sense with something like that, but the producers/script writers would never do it. (It's considered an overused cliche.
Rick's Coma:
Minimal food was required due to, ya know, BEING IN A COMA.
A tad bit less water was needed, AND he had an IV line in.
one thing i didn't understand was how glenn never died when he had the infected tube down his throat. when everyone at the prison was getting sick and they used the tube and pump on someone who eventually turned who was infected. if killing the infected walkers and getting the blood on them could probably kill them, then how did removing the tube from the infected walkers throat and put it in glenn's without cleaning not kill him ?
"Her'es a thing that doesn't make sense... and here's why it actually makes sense."
Regarding the Governor aiming whilst missing an eye, that shouldn't really be much of a problem unless the damaged eye is his dominant eye.
Umm, because unless these dogs received specialized training, they would be barking all the goddamn time and noise attracts walkers.
Daryl has one in season 9
The Greenes didn’t mention finding Sophia because OTIS found her, And he died before even knowing they were missing her.

They could bring him on as a director though.
Burn through the ditches and dig through the witches, I sing it backwards as I slam into the next episode!
Rob Zombie = Beta!!!!!! Let's make this happen
Internet explain.
Different director? Maybe Rick didnt like Carl?
Now that I think about it you're right. Did he even cry?

One thing that gets to me is when they run into people who seem to have no idea what is going on, or how to survive; Sam was a good example of this. He and his girlfriend talked like they just discovered the apocalypse, and seemed to have no skills that would have taken them this far into one.
funny how the cast gains weight after each season. eatin' in the apocalypse!
How about how Glen magically fell off the dumpster with his head away from the dumpster and then he's suddenly headed toward the dumpster and none of the walkers take notice of him. That was where I called it a day for this series.

which mini episodes? where can i watch them? pls?
I think they are called "webisodes", you can watch them online
donal king where can I find it?
It's explained how rick survived the coma in one of the webisodes (he was taken care by one of the nurses who survived up until rick woke up). As for the guts thing, it was confirmed in s8 that it can make you sick so using it all the time is probably more risk than it's worth.
5:08 this was made clear in the episode where Negan and the preacher used this technique and Negan pointed out the very real idea that it would likely make you sick. Just sayin
Biggest flaw? No US military intact.
Agreed.
They would be the first to respond, so the first to fall
No one can smell a zombie or even hear them sneaking up from behind . Crossbows are hard to reload = dumb weapon of choice. Also skulls are much harder than cantaloupes, try stabbing a coconut.
bro they dead the skull is all mushy after a while did u see the scene where he killed a zombie with his hand
#11 the fact zombies could ever rip open the skin of a horse barehanded
Well flesh is flesh guys. it's not like we're talking about a rhinoceros or a shark or a crocodile with tough Hyde.
@@CurlyFromTheSwirly nope.
Season 4 Episode 1:
When the group goes on a supply run to a supermarket she sees a cardboard cutout of a ZOMBIE!! Then she smirks as she cuts it down. This shows that there obviously were Zombies in fiction in the world of the walking dead
I know what you're talking about but it could easily be explained as some type of monster rather than a zombie.
Number 1. Why do all the English People speak in a deep southern American accent....
*Sarcasm*
Thomas Silcock it's set in Georgia
saul henderson I feel as though people are taking me seriously....
Thomas Silcock
Sarcasm is hard to translate through text.

For #2. There's risk of infection when using the guts trick. Just look at Father Gabriel, he almost died and lost an eye after doing it.
one thing that has always irked me is that with the world gone to shit... where are all the animals??
i would think there would be an explosion in the deer, rabbit, squirrel, raccoons, turkeys, feral chickens, fish and just about any non-domesticated animal.
There was a cgi deer, does that count?
The walkers couldn't catch birds. Crows would take over, it would be like heaven for them with corpses everywhere.
that Hyundai car are the new car because that season was sponsored by Hyundai
Ye but it made no sence because the ar was made in 2013 but the apocalypse happend in 2010 so who made the car??
''Hey Andrew lincoln, you're here for the part of rick?''
AL: yes.
''Great, but do you grow facial hair well?''
AL: yes.
''You're hired.''
Not in this universe apparently zombies can magically bite through steel.
I always thought that fat walker was lori😂
omg same
I thought that the first time i saw the scene
But then I assumed that the walker moved her body or something
Since I have no life and was curious I looked it up, the internet said that the zombie dragged Loris body to the back cell as you can see by the blood trail lol
It looks nothing like her 😒
It don’t even look like her but that’s funny 😂
Some flaws concerning the walkers biology:
I guess its somewhat realistic that a disease could turn us into zombies, but what makes no sense at all is how a decapitated walkers head can move (use its muscles) if its not connected to its lungs.
They don't breathe . It's supposed supposed to be a part of the brain keeping them animated and hungry for flesh..
@@Trinavara then walkers are quite literally physically impossible and the walking dead is fantasy
@@rgddydshevchenko2448 daah..
Zombies did exist in TWD universe before the outbreak. Michonne cut a cardboard cutout of one in half in the Big Spot.
Jenna Stein I just commented the exact same thing!! Was looking for someone else who noticed in the comments!
My problem is how the military was completely killed off but Glenn, a fucking pizza delivery boy, was able to survive.
the neighborhood garden one is because the couple that was in the house said that they always kept the garden intact
What about the women how were they having clean body, shaved legs, arms & armpits 😂😂😂
When walker blood goes in there mouth after a fight and there fine.
y is nobody talking abt michonne with walkers slaves thing? like they could've just do that to 1542425 of them and put them in front of the walls or gates, wherever they were
The comic book creator, Robert Kirkman, said that in the Walking Dead universe zombie lore hasn't been invented yet
My biggest issue was always Maggie's teeth..
On ricks coma thing there was webepisode that shows a doctor and 2 other people that stayed in the hospital that rick was in and it is it because they are the ones who write don't open dead inside so they could of took care of him
You mean they are the ones that wrote Don't Dead Open Inside
You can't do the guns with too many shots, movies and tv shows have done that forever, its expected. The biggest flaw in the walking dead is the amount of opportunities to kill negan that no one has took advantage of. The last time i checked he was in a trailer with a bat, also Gabriel was there....with a big gun.
sheiladmj Gabriel's a pansy, and Herschel had the best shotgun in the world when they took his farm. That shotgun only holds y rounds, he got like 20 shots from it.
0:16 he’s aiming at a mouse
The walkers run and climb over a fence in the first episode... but now they limp. WHAT
It really confuses me when in one episode, the characters have cuts, bruises and black eyes, and then the next episode they’re all gone. Yet 2 seasons can go by and nobody needs a haircut?!
It'sLeyla :3 Daryl & Carl
Where do they keep getting their ammo?
Same place they get their dry cleaning.
Where do they get petrol or diesel
just enjoy the show how it is!!
I'm a huge Walking Dead fan and it'd be cool if yall made more of em!
Unless the apocalypse was caused by Colgate or Trident, I'm pretty sure zombie teeth would break out of their gums if they tried to bite anything tougher than applesauce.
How is the gasoline still good after all these years?
Exactly!
I've used 30 years old gasoline more than once. 2 years are not enough.
And car batteries. They always have a charge, even after sitting for years.
If it's left in just an open bucket, or something, then it will be useless.
number 7 could be a whisperer
What if the drinking walker is a whisperer?
Hol up
Friend : Judith is perfect
Me: *death stare* Carl is
Me : walks away angrily
The Walking Dead web series "The Oath" reveals that one person did, in fact, remain in the hospital and took care of Rick during his coma.
