I've been a fan of Mike's since I saw him with Miles, Marcus Miller, and Bill Evans at the Kennedy Center on May 30, 1982. Great musician, and very cool person. Thanks Mike for all the great music!
Mike Stern is on my very short list of favorite performers and personalities in Music. Mike is such a cool cat, and a true inspiration. Thanks to both Mike and Riviera Jazz Club for the wonderful update.
Thanks for uploading this! Kudos to the crew that did the video. I've seen and hung out with Mike more than a few times and he's always a positive minded person. Guys like him and Steve Morse ( who has since developed a wrist problem as well ) are guys who want to beat the odds and they simply refuse to give up. Whether the goal is getting their non-mainstream music out to a listening public or simply putting braces on their hands to play, they eventually beat the odds stacked against them. And that's why I'll always supoort them.

One of the great things about my days living i DC was hearing Mike at Blues Alley every year.
Mike Stern seems so personable. Love his music. Hope, as he said, that the nerve damage lessens.
Great guy!
Berg, Brecker, Kirkland, Jaco, Miles... Carrying so much in one guitar is burden. But that smile says it all. Stern is a life genius.
Name of the song at 0:27 ?
All you need from Mike's album Who let the cats out!
Who else besides Stern was fired and re-hired by Miles? Oh yeah John Coltrane!!! There's some perspective for you.
