I have the same problem, was cylinder 1, I replaced it with cylinder 2 and new ignition coils again, the error is in the first cylinder!!! Have you already found where the errors were?
I've replaced my DME and the car starts up and goes and doesn't throw check-engine anymore. However, at startup, it sputters and acts like it's misfiring. Does the same at idle. However, when driving off, it smoothens out and keeps going strong all the way to the redline. No check-engine or loss of power at all. What does this sound like? Car is an e93 335i Right Hand Drive.
Definitely sounds like injectors are on their way out. What index are they. I would look into sourcing a set of index 12s don’t forget to code them into the dme
@@overboostedgarage8744 I haven't tried removing them if I'm honest. Too scared I might break something trying to yank them out, so not sure which indexes, though I do remember workshop once told me a couple of them were changed to 12s and the rest were original. Meanwhile, I ran some Techron fuel injector cleaner in the tank. It did help slightly I feel with the popping at idle but it's still there. Along with some wastegate rattle. Couldn't even do the actuator rod adjustment cause the nut holding the rod won't budge!
@@shaazy You will not break anything my dude. Just be careful of the wires. They are solidly constructed and easy to pull out when the retaining clip is removed. If they get stuck, a slide hammer can be used to force it up and out or you can use a flathead to pry it out lightly. Again, once all clips and bolts are removed, the only thing holding the injector in is friction between the seal and the head. I just experienced a mosfet failure on my MSD80. I pulled out injectors only to realize this after. Another piece of advice would be to have the correct tool to install the little Teflon seal. usually it is slid over and then compressed with special diameter cylinders. the pen trick everyone talks about on RUclips "works" but I really don't trust it. As for your misfire, if you have older index injectors and you are higher in miles, it is likely they are failing. Injectors have become so expensive these days and stock at sites like FCP Euro and ECS Tuning are low and often on backorder. I wish you the best of luck, and if you replace your injectors make sure you get index 12s in NEW condition. Used ones are scary. If they are bad or go bad later, you've got to do it all over again. These cars are great when they run. A great pain when not.
@@SyncedCyberSoule very good tips here, totally agree on being careful with the wires around the injector! i accidentally ripped an ignition coil wire when I recklessly yanked out cyl 6 injector. Slide hammer / a lot of patience / controlled strength is the way to go.

Ultimate driving machine
U seems to be Ugly mercedes fan :D
Did you end up getting it fixed ? How's the car now?
Hey quick question. Does the car run fine when you cold start with a bad dme? Or as soon as you start it it misfires ?
When the dme goes out it’s always misfiring since it’s only running on 3 cylinders. Very rough.

Hey was wondering
Was your car misfiring as soon as you start it ?
Or after it warms up ?
Always
It will always misfire, because each mosfets work with an injector. Bad mosfets = injectors not working...

He said the problem, "MOSFETS" lol...
You need a new DME
@@Calx91 No he doesn't lmao
@N54.S6 you're right a whole new engine will fix it

what were simptoms after mosfets died?
Constant misfire on bank 1 or bank 2 it will run really bad. Car will run on 3 cylinders only.
and if these are mosfets, watch for codes 30BA and 30BB for bank 1 and 2.
How do know it's the mofset?? Mine has the same problem but the mofset are reading good
Could be a ignition coil or a bad injektor as well
If mosfets are bad, usually the codes are 30BA and 30BB
Mine did the same just got the mosfets in and getting ready to be back
