- Beautiful lightning storm near California City, CA !
This storm was located in a remote area of the Mojave Desert .

Lightning was frequent after sunset for about 30 minutes before the storm fizzled out .
Man I love an isolated thunderstorm! Always so photogenic!

Definitely rare in San Diego! I am from San Diego and the summer thunderstorms mostly stay east over the interior deserts and mountains. I remember always seeing huge walls of Cumulonimbus east of town!
@@johngligo4049 still the same thing. Thankfully Laguna is only about an hour drive east, it gets epic up there.
If I could I’d chase those storms, from the coast I look at them hopefully.
