The skinhead style was originated in the U.K. in the 60s after the Mods trend died out. The idea on the style was to look like factory workers and embrace the working class. Then Neo-Nazis raided the movement in the 70s and made it racists. If you want to look like a skinhead but not the racist types, look for "Trojan Skinheads", they embrace all races, hates neo-nazis and fascists, and are much more tied to reggae and ska.
Why not style one of the looks with the shorts you wear at the beginning? Or at least the look like shorts, the way he puts pants over them sounds like they are underwear?
I know some people subjectively associate some given, often arbitrary decorative clothes or accessories to gay, especially to men, and I know it's not meant to insult (really? Though it can come across as such fr), but more as unsolicited advice on how not presumably turn off straight women conveying being gay, but actually one is either gay, bi or straight as person, not the clothes they wear and it ends up being a restrictive fashion police. I know it comes from there being some shared visual codes signaling being gay, but some are really not agreed on, fortunately or are change or they'd really need to change for being too restrictive especially for men (but they used to for women as well and they fought against that too), no animus :)
Fun fact, dr. Martens was the popular choice among U.S. skinheads in the 70-80s
