Great topics of discussion once again, and so spot on with your description of how someone who has not experienced the depths of a black hole would perceive someone in such a state, 'just snap out of it', if only that helped :). I know from first hand experience of living with long running severe depression, when your in the depths of darkness and despair, in most cases, nothing anyone can say will change your mindset as the depressive mind is not in a receptive state to see the bright side of life, and will flip any positive into a negative, or any situation for that matter. Only seeds of optimism and change can be planted for the depressive mind to eventually germinate and balance itself in it's/our own time, if anything there's a delayed reaction, so someone trying there best to truly help, does not get that immediate acknowledgement of having helped. I believe you would have to have experienced some dark times yourself to be able to offer the insight that you do. Your posts have been really helpful John' and I've gained many valuable insights. Much appreciated brother.
