this is some much needed content that, i think, the gw2 community has been waiting for for a long time now. Thank you for this great tier list on such a vital subject!
A Guild Wars RTS sounds really fun, but you'd really need to think about when you have it take place. Sure you can just retell most of Guild Wars 2, but that wouldn't really be a new and exciting story. Maybe you could set it during the previous Dragon Cycle, but you already know how that's going to end. Or it could be the bridge between Guild Wars 2 and 3, but fans won't like having a different genre of game be the finale to Guild Wars 2.
@Beriorn I feel like I would want any potential RTS story to take place alongside GW2. Say it releases during the next expansion in the next year, the story takes place in that year but is disconnected from that story and just works to expand on other areas of the world. From there you just have to be creative. Maybe you have five factions of each of the different playable races and they each have a campaign where they deal with a preexisting threat (human centaurs, charr ogres, etc) and then the PvP is a non-canon mode of the five races against each other. Or maybe just elaborating on any story in the game. We know the Risen and Awakened skirmished near the Scavenger's Causeway, maybe take that small, loose story beat and expand on it (lorewise would be before the events of PoF). Maybe a campaign that takes place in the original Guild Wars (would just be humans vs humans so maybe boring for an RTS). Maybe you could go the Halo Wars 2 route and introduce a brand new group that then plays a major part in a future mainline game (or expansion in GW2's case). For example we could see 3 new unique factions from the far northern reaches of Tyria that are fighting each other in some war and we experience that war in the RTS then the Tyrian Alliance learns about the existence of that war from a scout and that leads into a GW2 expansion.
Thank you, I was shocked by Nr 2. Nothing could have prepared me for that. I really did not saw that coming.
Please keep the lumber coming.

I'm loving this. Strangest top 10 in GW2, keep em coming😀
Good to see the WvW camps get recognition! If I had a Nickle for every time I solo flipped one of those, I'd be a millionaire.
I didn't think there WERE ten lumber mills!
