- Camera glass replacement Samsung S23 Ultra. The process can seem complicated but it is not and I think the repair difficulty of this camera glass replacement is only 5 out of 10.
The removal process can be very easy if you have the right tools such as a sharp blade. With the green razor blade I used in the video, everything seems very easy. If your repair kit does not come with a blade you will need a blade to perform the removal of the broken camera glass.

thank you for a great video. bought my s23 ultra last november, and of course angry with samsung as "hairs" started to appear in no time inside the main zoom camera glass lens, and nothing will remove it, and they expect me to take a risk and send it back by post. This video has really helped, you are very confident, and I appreciate that. I will try to obtain the parts now (glass lens kit) and have a go myself.
You're welcome 👋🏽. If Samsung will do it for you free I think that's a better deal unless you don't want to srnd your device to their warehouse. Have you tried to find Samsung authorized stores near you to see if they can do it? The process is straightforward and result is excellent when everything is done right.

Thanks, great video! I just broke my camera glass last night but mine is really broken even with a huge junk of glass missing. I wanted to ask for advice - if I decide to change the glass myself and it turns out that the bottom lens of the camera underneath the broken glass is also broken then what would you recommend me to do? Is there a way to change the whole lens easily as well or that would require a professionals help?
Hi, you can try to replace the broken camera lenses on the back glass. The easier way would be to replace the whole back glass and with comes with new camera lenses. Now what is the camera itself is damaged or will have focus issues once you change the back glass camera lens? At that point you can look to see if something is obstructing then remove it clean with a microfiber cloth. Test again to see if the issue persist if you have the same problem the last option will be to replace the camera module that is damaged. There's a way to take apart the camera of these phones ( I have done one video on the s22 ultra) it should be the same for the s23 Ultra.

Due to the design of the camera rings sometimes there's an illusion or eye sight deformity that makes you think the glass is too small. lol it happened to me precisely with this Galaxy S23 Ultra. I message the seller and they said it's the right size after checking it fitted.
Very simple. I just got my phone and noticed today I already have a small scratch across the lense pf my main camera. I will likely try this myself as I want to make sure I get the best photo quality possible. Where did you order your replacement parts from? Thank you for a great tutorial. It would be nice if they made the rest of the phone this easy to work on.
Also how hard would it be to remover the lense if it is not actually broken?
You're welcome 👋🏽, I have the link to the items I used in the video under the description. If it is not cracked you'd need to try to remove it from the ease of the lens resulting in getting the lens cracked first ( this can add more scratches to the camera ring by mistake). I think the easiest would be to replace the whole back glass. The price is not very high compared to the camera lenses.

If only the middle is broken, do you have to replace all 3 ? Cause the repair place said you must replace all 3 but only the middle is a little scratch ?

Is it safe to clean the sensor with alcohol wipes or something? It looks like some pocket lint got in there before I notice it was broken😊
I would avoid cleaning it if it still focus and work as intinded. You can use an air blower to blow some air on the camera lens it will push all dust and pocket lint away. Then test again to make sure the camera works it focuses etc....
If you use alcohol to clean it can work 100% but it can also damage or make be react with the camera lens (it should be plastic) then it won't see clear as before that's why I said it's better to blew air. If air doesn't make it clean use alcohol if that doesn't work you will need a new camera module for the camera affected.

Is heating the camera lens needed? My crack on the camera lens glass is pretty big and practically cracks it in half. So its pretty easy to lift but wondering if its needed to heat before
You certainly don't have to heat but it is better and more easy. Below I did not heat with the s24 Ultra first camera then did the rest with heat the results are different.

@haimay5767 absolutely...I started with a Hairdryer on my galaxy s7 😂. Hairdryer works just takes 1.5 to 2 times as much time compared to a heatgun.
@ersbit alr, I'm going to try and do this on my s22 ultra. Is there any updated links that may be better? Some say that the ring around the camera glass replacement is thicker, similar to the s20/s21 than the S22 you have linked and also not fingerprint resistant as the original.
I have one question, after the glass replace Will the phone still have protection against water?
I would not recommend Submerging the phone. It may still be good for light water on the phone but no Submerging in water. Water resistance decrease with time as Samsung said and even a new phone you buy if it gets water damage they won't cover it under manufacturer's warranty. Easy answer is don't put it inside water. It may survive but not to the same capacity of water resistance as before.

What is the cost of samsungs23ultra 1x lens ?
High 1x is going to be the primary lens (200MP) the Ultra wide can do 1x only when the main camera is having issues to focus. On eBay am seeing the main camera price around 88$ to above $100.
If I blow some air inside the camera will it harm the camera?
From my experience blowing air directly on the camera module cannot damage them
It will or can damage if
1-You use very high PSI compressed air (which is absurd)
2-Blowing air with your mouth (i used to do that but it is nearly impossible to be efficient and avoid small water spits drops on the camera module) I was confident i could do it but I gave up for a small camera air blower very inexpensive.
3-If damaged most likely the camera was bad in the first place.

This was an early version of the aftermarket Back Glass so it doesn't 100% replicate the original back glass.
In the end of the video I show the next step which was the next logical video when I Submerged the phone in water then opened the phone then another video followed etc...showing and titled s23 Ultra.

I have just had a brand new s23 plus delivered with the lens missing from the main camera. I got a cracking deal on the phone and sadly the only option i have been given by the retailer or Samsung is a full refund, no replacementas the s23 has been discontinued.
I would like to keep the phone and install a new lens cover, as i am not removing the lens this should be straight forward. I have ordered the genuine samsung lens, can anyone advise if these come with adhesive ? @ersbit
Yes. They should come with pre-installed double sided tape.
