If you want to make a lot of money in the stock market, these are the only 7 stocks you really need to think about. These 7 stocks have grown to such a size even your typical ETFs and index funds out there which are your recommended place to invest especially as a beginner. These ETFs are just becoming so dominated by these 7 stocks. If you look at the S&P 500, the top 7 companies in this make up over 28% of this ETF and what it basically means is that these 7 stocks are driving whether the price of the S&P 500 is going up or down to such an extent that in 2023 these 7 companies were continuing to do strong. The S&P 500 was continuing to increase despite the fact that 90% of the companies in that investment pool were all decreasing in value. The same thing applies to the NASDAQ 100 if you look at this. Over the course of 2023 we've been in the region of 50-40% of the fund is invested in these 7 companies and so if you want to bring long-term financial success for yourself in your investments it would be a good idea to focus on the 7 main companies which are driving all of the increases in the stock market as a whole. So those 7 stocks are as follows. Apple and Microsoft which both make up around 7% of the S&P 500 at the moment. Google or Alphabet which makes up just under 4% of the S&P 500.
Amazon and Nvidia which both make up over 3% and Tesla and Facebook or Meta which both make up just under 2%. And the amazing thing here is that if you look at the performance of the S&P 500, so in 2023 this increased by over 20% as a phenomenal year for anyone invested in the ETF. But then if you look at these 7 companies over 2023 you will see that their stock value increased by 40 / 60 / 80 / 100% over 2023. So an investment in these companies alone in many cases would bring you much greater rewards than investing in an ETF such as the S&P 500. And of course as always with investing the more you can diversify the better it is for you. This is not me saying these are the only companies you should invest in. What I'm saying is if you want to create a large return on investment in your investments in the stock market over a long period of time, I'm talking about 5, 10, 20 years, there should definitely be a place at your investment portfolio for a mixture of these 7 companies.
