I like Verdugo, I don't care about the hate he's gotten. He was never supposed to be a superstar, he's a defense first, scrappy guy. His offense sucked in the second half but overall he had a decent season compared to the reasonable expectations.

Not too many commenting on the play and player that turned this thing around for NY, but when I saw Jazz Chisholm cut off Cabrera to field a well hit grounder and throw out the runner at first I started thinking I hope this guy is up this inning, because I really like his energy. I believe it was actually the inning after that he got another at bat, in which he laced a ball to right field, somehow avoided the tag at 2nd base to keep the inning going and then flew around third to score the go-ahead run standing up. I'm not sure why but as soon as he made that play to get the runner at first I started believing Chisholm just might carry us to a win tonight, and I wasn't far off.
