Joel Wolfe is the man....
We need him in the Mets😊
Steve Cohen gonna act up this offseason and I genuinely expect him to land Roki too.
Very slim chance. Why would he pick the Mets over the Dodgers?
@@johndurrer7869To beat the Dodgers 😉
Why? What kind of an ignorant question is that?. Many reasons. Do your own research
@@QJoshB Why would he want to beat the team he grew up rooting for?
@@johndurrer7869 it’s all business
The agent is being more honest than you expect a guy trying to sell someone would be in this situation because everyone knows Sasaki is a massive steal at the rate he would come in at. Theres no need to put on the used car salesman act
Yeah....
That sounds like the Dodgers to me 🫡💙🤍
The Dodgers are a great team with a rich tradition. The organization really knows what it's doing and has for quite some time. And they currently have two Japanese superstars. Understood. But what I don't get is this generic assumption that Japanese players want to go to the "West coast". Why? Because it's geographically closer to Japan? What are they going to do, fly back to Japan and visit their mother-in-law on their day off? Historically, Japanese players have also signed with Texas, Boston, NY, etc. Can someone explain this fixation on the West coast?
Bigger Japanese communities perhaps
Sasaki actually did say he wants to be on a winning team with elite pitching program
He's West Coast bound.
I want him on my Mets, but congratulate the Padres in advance for landing him.
Roki needs to come to NY Mets and avenge Sengas' loss to the Dodgers
At this point, just relocate the Dodgers to Japan 😂.
Fr
I didn’t think about that 🤔 but you’re right !! 😂
Tokyo Dojasu!
Let's be honest here, as a Mets' fan and despite Steve Cohen's wallet, the Dodgers are the favorites, even if they weren't Sasaki and his late father's favorite MLB team. Any other west coast team after that, the Padres being runner-ups.
Theres a international bonus money limit. Dodgers are towards the bottom of that.
But highest upside for his future
@@mikes8863 If it was about the money, he would've waited two years to come here and have made over 300 million. Its not about the money.
He wants the best situation and it’s the Mets not the Dodgers
@@bxnymhe’s going to a west coast team sorry to break it to you
Sounds like Roki doesn't know what he wants except he wants to play in MLB ASAP and it also doesn't sound like Roki has a lot of time to fully consider which team is the best for him too so he might feel pressurized to make a sound decision before the deadline.
Mets need this guy asap
He doesnt want to be a dodger.
San Diego will be the most perfect Team for him.
Hope he comes to the Dodgers, but I wouldn't be mad if he went to the Mets.
The Cubs screwed themselves by basically letting Seiya Suzuki know that his only value to the Cubs is a DH. That didn’t sit well with him or his agent (Yep, the same agent you just heard…….he represents Seiya Suzuki and Roki Sasaki). Congrats Cubs!
It’s in the media’s best interest to pretend like every team has a chance. But we all know it’s Dodgers or Padres
I think Joel Wolfe knows a lot more than he says he does . He acts like he has never met or spoken to Sasaki . I bet he knows that he wants to go to the champions Dodgers and play with his friends ohtani and Yamamoto
it would be an absolute dream to have Soto and Roki this offseason.
So he described the dodgers 😂
Welcome to the padres
He might as well have said outright he's going to the Dodgers and all this other waiting stuff is just the formal "due diligence" process that Ohtani and Yamamoto also did
That is totally false. Did you not hear when he said Roki has grown up idolizing Yu Darvish? And it really does seem like he wants to play in a small to medium size market team? Go listen to 97.3 the fan Sam Levitt what he said.
If you beat your idol 1v1. That’s like the most Japanese thing to do
@@am3lagrimas410 He is not going to the Dodgers. He wants to be on a smaller market team. Go listen to his agent's interview
Not true. SD should be the favorite
@@theviking2877They are the favoirte. I listened to Sasaki's agent presser and he was very positive about Roki possibly signing with the Padres
Future Giant
I highly doubt he wants to play on a losing team.
He will be a Met!
Wanna bet? Already wasted your money on a one trick pony 😂
He’s going to the Japanese Dodgers. 😑
Hes going to San Diego..
-Matsui and Darvish are already there and Darvish is plenty more experienced and wise than Ohtani/Yamamoto.
-Darvish is his hero
-Sasaki dosent like attention and LA does not offer that.
-If San Diego gets deep into the playoffs/World Series he would up his value more than by signing with LA initially.
Beating your hero 1v1 is the most Japanese thing to do. Watch anime
@am3lagrimas410 Uh huh. Sasaki is not even developed. You got lots to learn.
Everything Sasaki has been asking are all A+ on the Dodgers.
@@trinityadiaz Which is probably why the Dodgers are the one team that hasnt come to terms with any top 50 international free agents… Roki to the Dodgers is the worst kept secret ever
Nope! He wants to be on a small market team! That is what his agent said.
@ stop lying. His agent never said that.
😂@@johndurrer7869
Can someone explain to me what "post" mean in this context?
Will be Dodgers. End of story.
Wrong. He wants to play in a small to medium size market.
Nope
As a Dodgers fan, if the Mets somehow land Sasaki, they will be a scary formidable team with Soto.
@@rainwinters5239 Sasaki is 2yrs from been there. Sasaki needs to be with a Team who will use him carefully and every other 6 days. Mets don’t have that. Don’t be scared
Good thinking.
@@jairopoveda5471 he's not scared. He just shares the thought. The Mets can be scary. 🙂
And the Mets DO, know how to work with japanese players and pitchers. And they've also been learning from having Senga.
And they might very well goto a 6 man rotation.
He probably has the best opportunity with Steve Cohen and the Mets. Not to mention the best opportunity to earn himself the most money for his future along with his family.
The Mets have 1 if not the best player development skills and they have their very high tech pitching lab with 1 of the best pitching coaches in Hefner who now has a wonderful partner.
Neither the Mets or Dodgers are getting Sasaki. He wants to be on a small market team.
So Roki will be playing for the Los Japangales Dodgers 💪🏻⚾️🏆
Nope! He wants to be on a small market team. Dodgers will not get him
Don't sleep on the Arizona DiamondBacks. They could also sign him
@securitybase3430 Arizona, is that a hockey team? Never heard of that expansion team...
There are more respected Japanese in the Padres. Roki will be the addition.

Is Roki Sasaki is looking to develop as a major league pitcher then Cleveland is where he needs to be.
We all know where he’s going
Yes. The Padres.
Literally said hes a Dodger with actually saying it 😂😂😂
Welcome to the NY Mets
Please please please bring him to the Mets.
Welcome to the Yankees Roki
Posted right after dodgers won championship, not obvious enough for u?

I'd change agents if I was Roki. This dude seems so unprepared for this.
Who are we kidding? This kid wants to go to the Dodgers to be with Ohtani and Yam, be on the West Coast. If the Dodgers won't sign him (highly unlikely), he'll still probably prefer a West Coast team. He'll use the big East Coast teams to raise his price like Yam did but he'll stay on the West. Cali weather, shorter trip to Japan, Ohtani and Yam, Dodger's are the champs. It's a no brainer. $400 million, 2000 years deferred. Let's cut the horseshit.
Apparently you don’t pay attention. He can only sign for international bonus money. He will be making 700 K a year for the next three years. That is why he’s so valuable
@ Where do you think he’s going?
Do you even watch baseball? LOL! Do some research kid.
@@Jay-np3hx What is your prediction?
@@toneriggz Dodgers
If there is a will there is a way...Cohen just need to step up, no excuses...if he'd given Shohei 100 million more than the dodgers, he could have made the Mets great again with a power elite left sided batter like Strawberry and a power right handed pitcher like Gooden, 1986 Mets!!!
The Meatheads were never getting Ohtani but keep telling yourselves that.
While everybody was spending money in 23, Dodgers didn’t because they were already planning for Ohtani.
The Guggenheim Group boys.
The Angels have good weather too. It’s not just the Dodgers. As a Halos fan, I can only dream.
Angels fumbled the bag w ohtani. Why bother w sasaki
He’s going to the dodgers .
This video comes across like some film or something.
Red flags o should I say blue flags all over… can’t handle the press, looking for a confortable environment, loves the Dodgers… 🤔 😂
Mets desperately need this guy

Yeah, this agents seems a like a real dumb ass. Says things I don't know. And I'm sure one thing u never wanna say is Tommy John, ever in anyway possible.
Everything he wants is in LA , winning 🏆 and good pitching development sounds like a Dodger already
Remember, this is based on international money and not the wallets.
Knuckleheads. He doesn’t care about the international money, that’s why he’s coming out now. He’ll get his bag in a couple years.
He and his team has put in the work.
Roki to the Yankees could cement his status as an all time great pitcher! Plus we’ve got some of the best pitching development in the game
LET'S GO METS !
All these Japanese players know The Dodgers & most likely he will pick The Dodgers
NY fans have zero chance. It’s between dodgers and padres
He is going to LA . Dont waste time bro
How do you know?
@@KEVINCHU35we don’t know for certain but it’s 80% chance going to either dodgers or padres. He has a strong relationship with darvish
It's highly unlikely the Mets get a true shot at him. He can't be bought because he can only be offered a minor league contract. So, likely going to be Dodgers or Padres unfortunately
If he we're smart, he would sign with the Mets
King Cohen, We need him too…We need another Japanese guy plus pitching !! 😂 we already trolled the Yankees…now We need to troll the Dodgers. 🤪
Begging. 😂 Still losing to the champs 😂
It's so obvious based on this interview that he's going to the Dodgers. It's also clear he needs a better agent. Way to open about injury potential of his client. Terrible job
Well it’s pretty obvious to everyone. The guy has never had a healthy season in his life. And that’s in Japan pitching once a week. Which is a big reason why he needs to be in a six man rotation and why the Dodgers pitching depth makes a big difference. I see a lot of similarities between him and Dustin May, it’s actually scary how similar they are. Both have electric fastballs around 100 mph that move up to 18 inches. Both mainly throw two pitches, both hard. And both constantly deal with injuries. May was able to hold up in the minors but as soon as he went to the MLB and pitched 6 innings on five days rest he fell apart.
Yankees please but he’s gonna be a gob nobber and go to the dodgers
His agent sums it up for us. He doesn’t know the cities in the US, so why in hell would he go anywhere other than the dodgers? You have Ohtani and Yama there, a sense of familiarity.
Darvish is literally his mentor, and Japanese people in RUclips comments are saying he’s too shy for LA.
He’s gonna be a Padre
This would be very interesting if he signs with the Mets. Senga make a quick call please 😂
Sasaki saw Senga’s and the Meats get their butts kicked by Ohtani and the Avengers 😂
WDGAF where he goes yall just making noise just like yall did with LeBron
He's going to the Dodgers. This is a boring story.
Come to the Yankees and you’ll be your own man instead of being in ohtani shadow
Yankees now
He's a dodger! how do you not mention Ohtani or Yamamoto as players he looks up to. I'm pretty sure they were teammates in the WBC.
Got it, so he is a dodger
LET'S GO MET!!! 🏆🍾🥂🎊✨️
He might go to NY 😄 now that the Mets robbed Soto lol
Why?!? Soto is not Him. Shohei is Him. ⚾️💪🤙🏾
Thinks he’s Scott Boras 😂
We all understand he’s going to dodgers
*Objectively*
It’d be the smartest decision to join a club as a stepping stone to acclimate to the style of baseball played here.
Then when he reaches Free Agency in 2 seasons (turns 25) he signs the big contract with LA.
Just like Ohtani.
Stop it 😂
What's this dude so depressed about
Come to the giants and play against the Dodgers rivalry that would be epic

This guy seems clueless. Unprofessional and unprepared. He should be no ones agent.
Just because he's not a good public speaker for news conference doesn't mean he's not a good agent.
@arthurbb8937 no. He doesn't know his client he isn't prepared for him to be posted.
Depending on whats behind the scenes, he might just be really limited to what he feels he can say.
Actually, his mannerism and word choice would be most appreciated by Japanese athletes. It's very reserved, honest, and intelligent. He wasn't aware because posting is the right of Chiba Marines, and nothing was published or finalized until October. He's not involved in Japanese negotiations.
Sasaki is very difficult to understand, to say the least. Since it's not about financial conditions, it's about which team has the staff, development program, infrastructure, and environment that Sasaki appreciates.
@@yo2trader539 he said he doesn't know what Sasaki wants. That sounds so bad. As his agent you should know what your client wants. It makes it seem like he's not interested in knowing him and trying to get him to a place that he wants. If Sasaki wants those things he should have a variety of variables that will help him grow.
I thought no more immigrants? He's going to take a white man's job. The reason he will live on the West Coast. Unlike many ,he gets to choose. Why Shohei ended up an Angels. LA is home for any nationality.
He's going to KingCohens" palace LGNYM!
Everything Sasaki has been asking are all A+ on the Dodgers.
