I've come to the conclusion that most judges believe that the courtroom is their unapproachable sanctum where they have unlimited power and control. Judges have morphed into self-serving entities that think they are the law and the laws don't apply to them. Judges are nothing more than impartial referees that are supposed to keep the DA and Defense equal throughout court proceedings. Now judges think they get to interject their personal thoughts and beliefs into the court proceedings which is completely unethical and contradictory to the way a judge is supposed to conduct themselves. And here's a serious question. Is a court of the people really the people's when judge's close the courts to the public?

A Magistrate can still sign a warrant but that is not their job because usually they deal with misdemeanors and family law and other lower court actions. So the Magistrate is probably not in trouble for signing the warrants. The judge is for pushing her work off to the Magistrate.
