man almost every video has helped me improve my runs currently training for CCT for the Air Force and my run time has increased substantially thanks definitely earned this sub 👍🏻
I am a first-time runner. I completed one 5K over the weekend and today ran 2.6 miles. This video is excellent! I feel prepared and ready to run again later this week. THANK YOU!!!
All I can say is wow. Just completed 2 training runs and decided to watch this because my legs felt a bit tight. Also, I liked your warmup video (I do I before every run and race) so figured this would be a good bet. WOW. I didn't make 20 reps, only 10, but i did realize how tight my hamstrings were after my runs. THANK YOU. this video really help. Now I have to add this to the pre run warm up video as a must do
Thanks so much again, did the warm up before running then this one just now... I've never felt this good after a jog, especially my legs. Thank you so much. ps. lots of love from Kenya.
nice video...as a runner i advice for a betterr coold down: after your run walk 2-3 mins , let your hearth rate get low and then start a slow jogging for 5-10 mins depending your fell....then stop and sart stretching and thats all!
never heard anything about toe extensions. been running for the better part of 15 years. care to elaborate on what this helps improve. great line of videos btw. stumbled across them and got the urge to go for my personal goal again.
Is this type of stretching recommending over static stretching? I have been doing dynamic stretching before runs, but I was told it is still good to do static stretching after runs. Also, certain dynamic stretches after a run cause me to cramp. Is that normal?
For the ankle stretch you mentioned that u should stretch towards your pinkie toe direction because you don’t want to go the other way and collapse your arch. Since I was born flat footed should I still follow this advice or can I turn my knees inwards when doing his stretch? Will that affect anything negatively?
Great videos. I love it as I am starting to run again. I am out of shape and only doing 2-3 miles and it takes 25". Any recommendations for a program to follow over a 12 week period to improve my distance and pace
Hey Patrick! Absolutely. You've come to the right place. I'd suggest checking out our 30 Day Challenge and if you like it, following up with either our Run Fitness Formula or Half Marathon program. All of these do a great job of mixing up run, strength & mobility workouts so that you can get back into running with ease and strength! Check 'em out here: therunexperience.com/training-plans/
Very helpful video! I don't quite get the toe stretch. Am I supposed to put pressure on the big toe when I roll? Is the focus mainly on the pointed foot and I keep the other foot flat? Not really sure if I'm doing it right. It feels like I'm stressing my arches out.
Yes, this will definitely help stretch the arch of the foot, as well as the ankle. Make sure to keep the majority of the big toe on the ground as you stretch. Main focus is on the foot he has closest to the camera. Would be best to keep the other foot flat or in as supportive of a position as possible.
Great video. I'm 12 weeks out from my first marathon and have plantar fasciitis on one foot. Tried four weeks of no running and rolling it a lot and stretching calfs but nothing worked. I have to run now or I'll never be ready for the big event. What can I do to minimise this injury getting worse?
We've got just the video for you! I'd also suggest looking at "superfeet" shoe inserts. They've worked wonders for me. Here's the video: ruclips.net/video/WRfuqsNZzkQ/видео.html
When doing the ankle stretch, one of my knees hurt while reaching it toward post. Got good ankle stretch, but knee pain isn't a good thing. any ideas why?
Lori Allred Are you making sure that your knee is tracking toward the outside edge or your foot (think pinkie toe) as you move it forward? You don’t want your knee collapsing in as you move it.
Unfortunately the exact shirt he is wearing is not available but to stay updated on current shirt sales, follow us on Facebook if you don't already! :)
Honest criticism, I turned this on to see some post run stretches. What I got five and a half minutes of talking and one and a half of actual stretching.

M Villarreal, the sun was going down and he was changing to his werewolf form!

Awesome, thanks for watching!
Nice video, I like the scope of cool down stretches.
One request - a wireless mic so we can hear you better as you move around.
Will work on that for next time! Thanks Steve.
Wow what an amazing place for runnning!
Cool down starts at 03:26
You're welcome.

They help to "wake up" the ankles and tops of the feet so that the muscles can react faster during your run
I love that you put a wig on, but don't even crack a smile!
love all the video guys! i'd love to see something for piriformis syndrome

This was really helpful! Thank you
Please make a video on diet for runners
Great stretches. How about upper body?

Is the hair part of a kit they sell for properly cooling down? LOL!
Great video!

can u pls show a stretch after workout for stiff neck and shoulder thanks.

The stretch where you move your knee toward a wall actually gave me knee pain to do. I don't think that's supposed to happen, is it?
Definitely not! Feel free to modify these exercises to a smaller range of motion if need be!
I'm over forty ..is runing good for my joints ?
Great video. I'm 12 weeks out from my first marathon and have plantar fasciitis on one foot. Tried four weeks of no running and rolling it a lot and stretching calfs but nothing worked. I have to run now or I'll never be ready for the big event. What can I do to minimise this injury getting worse?

Thanks so much. Tried those inserts already and they did nothing at all for me.
How did it go .. the marathon?
crip3536 a few weeks to go yet. End of May. Up to 19 miles now though and feeling great.
Russell Anderson-Williams how did you overcome plantar fascitis.. Great news though..
The Run Experience Yes. no inward collapsing. tracking toward outside toes.
Interesting. Make sure you're also not gripping the ground with your toes as you lean forward to stretch. That extra tension can pull on the knee too.
Thank you!
where can I get one of those t-shirts?
www.zazzle.com/therunexperience/products
Are these technical shirts? I want the blue one like you’re wearing.
The one in the video and in the link are both cotton!
Unfortunately the exact shirt he is wearing is not available but to stay updated on current shirt sales, follow us on Facebook if you don't already! :)
nice video
Would be nice if video is remade with proper audio
Isn't it expert knowledge that static stretching is optimal for post run procedure??
Honest criticism, I turned this on to see some post run stretches. What I got five and a half minutes of talking and one and a half of actual stretching.
You look like Jordan Henderson is the thumbnail
Keep it simple. These are great but I’ll never remember them, so I won’t end up doing any of them.
nice watch :)
ha thanks!
Double entendre?
What's the girls ig?!
huh? speak up!
