A bit of an error I noticed: the GTO was not in fact succeeded by the 308 GTB. It was actually more like the 308GTB served as the basis for Ferrari's Group B rally entry, the engine was made smaller but more powerful because of the turbos added (in some places the car is called the 288 GTO). Group B eventually got cancelled and Ferrari's 308 based race car never got to race but the road going version that was mandatory at the time to enter Group B did which is the car we all know and love today. The 308 was eventually replaced by the 328 and then the 348 (which is the lineage that leads to today's 488 GTB and F8 Tributo) but the 288 GTO was its own standalone model with its spiritual successor being the F40. In fact the F40 was based on a special racing prototype of the 288 GTO called the 288 GTO Evoluzione.

The 328 was not the successor to the 288 GTO , it was the successor to the 308. The 288 GTO was a Homologation Special , hence the "GTO" badge. It was designed & built for 1980s Group B racing. When Group B was discontinued Ferrari decided to turn the 288 into a road car and thus making it their inaugural "Halo" car. It's the predecessor of the F40, F50, Enzo (F60) and the latest Halo being the LaFerrari.

At 4:00 you do not show a Ferrari Testa Rossa, but an Aston Martin DBR1 from the same era ... what a pity. Though it looks very nice, the Testa Rossa 250 was a beauty, too.

You should really do some fact checking, The mondial 8 didn't do 0-60 in 5 second, it did it in 9.4 And it only had a top speed around 145 mph And the 360 modena, did 0-60 in 4.3 seconds not 2.5 as you said. When you do "fact" videos make sure your facts are correct. Everyone makes mistakes I know, but please make sure the facts are correct specially when it's obvious you put some time in to making the video. It is a great video, nonetheless
That and more. There's a lot of incorrect specs listed on this channel. It feels like the channel producer didn't grow up when many of these cars were new. This may be an OK way to get a very lightweight overview of Ferrari's history, but that's it.
Another Fact. Ferrari did try to race a Ferrari F50 in the FIA GT1 class. But turned it down when Porsche 911 GT1 came around. Instead they designed 3 cars called Ferrari F50 GT.

It Was Named The Koenig Competition 2002 When They Modified The Testarossa. The 328 however wasn’t the real successor of the GTO, the Ferrari 288 gto named because of its 2.8L V8 is a super car, a race car, the 328 wasn’t nearly as quick. The true predecessor to the 288 was the F40, the 288 was believed to be the “test mule” to the F40 however I believe the f40 overshadowed the 288 and the 288 is much better.
@@armbristersgarage I think the f40 was purely a marketing plow to beat porsche and it just so happend to be their 40th anniversary . Ferrari launched the gto for group b racing and the 288 gto was the homologated Road car . Porsche the went on to actually compete with the 959 unlike ferrari and when the 959 road car came put it both faster and more powerful and far more advanced than the 288 gto . Enzo not wanting to lose to porsche telling his engineers and designers to convert the racing gto the evoluzione into a road car to beat the 959 . Which it did in terms of top speed .
