He is suffering from high blood pressure, but when he goes for medicines in ECHS (healthcare centre for retired army personnel and their dependents) 4 out of 10 times the medicines are not available. And we live in Delhi near the cantonment area, so just think if this is the situation of ECHS in Delhi cantonment, then what about the tier 2 cities or towns. His line really explained it well. Soldiers are respected only until the war is going on.
But Echs provides you the facility that you can buy medicine from private chemist shop and then apply for refund , i know its bit time taking but this is also happened .

If this is feeling of a Army Veteran who lost his health for nation is being treated by its own country men, then I am sure country don't deserve these here. Lot many things can be said over this topic. Even after 75 years of Independence you think we need lot many improvements then we don't deserve Independence and slavery was better than that.
Uncle is my father's coursemate (and yes by virtue batra uncle's batchmate). He has laid out the blatant realities. I was in ambala cantt and 8 years old, when my father (officer in artillery) was summoned for kargil war. Those two months have left lifelong impact on us. I can tell you by my experience that no doubt army is an excellent organisation but the respect for army personnel outside the uniform is far short of adequate in our country. This podcast is a good step in right direction. Congratulations to your team. Keep it up
yes its very tough for us ...my husband was also an Army officer ,i was pregnant when my husband was posted in the field ...came after one month after my only child's birth .. . cant forget that days
It is shocking but true that nobody cares for war veterans once the war is over. They are still fighting for allowances. This podcast is very good... an eye opener. I do hope the Government starts showing some respect. The story of the war widow is just too sad.

this is one of the best podcast ever!! he said it so well that every army soldier should be respected at all times and not only when they die. People who do not belong to the defence are so oblivious to the sacrifices that are made each passing day which go unnoticed because everyone is just living in their comfort and does not care to see and truly appreciate it as much as it should be. I, myself am an army officer's daughter and I see so many people around me who truly do not know anything about the army, what all they do and how difficult it is for their family. please respect them and their families!! If it were not for them, you would not be sitting so comfortably at your home!

Uncle is my father's coursemate (and yes by virtue batra uncle's batchmate). He has laid out the blatant realities. I was in ambala cantt and 8 years old, when my father (officer in artillery) was summoned for kargil war. Those two months have left lifelong impact on us. I can tell you by my experience that no doubt army is an excellent organisation but the respect for army personnel outside the uniform is far short of adequate in our country. This podcast is a good step in right direction. Congratulations to your team. Keep it up
yes its very tough for us ...my husband was also an Army officer ,i was pregnant when my husband was posted in the field ...came after one month after my only child's birth .. . cant forget that days

It is shocking but true that nobody cares for war veterans once the war is over. They are still fighting for allowances. This podcast is very good... an eye opener. I do hope the Government starts showing some respect. The story of the war widow is just too sad.

this is one of the best podcast ever!! he said it so well that every army soldier should be respected at all times and not only when they die. People who do not belong to the defence are so oblivious to the sacrifices that are made each passing day which go unnoticed because everyone is just living in their comfort and does not care to see and truly appreciate it as much as it should be. I, myself am an army officer's daughter and I see so many people around me who truly do not know anything about the army, what all they do and how difficult it is for their family. please respect them and their families!! If it were not for them, you would not be sitting so comfortably at your home!

Hi Ranveer i would like to see Indian Navy Shaurya Chakra Sailor Praveen Teotia (Marcos) who was one of the heroes of the 26/11 Attacks in Mumbai , he has also struggled to get his acknowledgement after he retired and have achieved some inhumane achievements in the field of Running.
