Pleasing personality and good explanation, thank you very much mam 🎉
I really like youre video, its very helpfull. Thanks
I love the look of palm wax candles no 2 are ever the same
Yes!! Like pretty snowflakes ❄️ - Lima NG
Omg! I absolutely love this look.
Thank you so much! Palm Pillar wax really does give a stunning effect!
What glue do you use at the bottom? Gluegun strips glue? Im using parafin wax and struggling with this following thing, Do you use a mould releasing spray first to release the candle when it is finished?
I love the look of pillar palm wax! What is a good wick series for pillar palm wax? I have pillar palm wax and don’t know where to start in terms of wicking.
Hi Marilyn! I LOVE the CD wicks with the palm wax. I do find that I have to wick up when working with it. It will really depend on the fragrance but I typically go up 1-2 sizes. I hope this helps! Have a great day!
Thankyou
From New Zealand 🌵🌵
You are so welcome! <3 Melissa NG
Loved your video
I’m still a Soy Wax chick
But loved you weren’t afraid of a lil palm wax all over your workspace.
Is it true you have to tip them upside down ? As another candle maker #MyCandleRomance does this

Hi! Thx for video! Can essential oils be used with palm wax or only fragrance oils?
Essential oils will not do as well as Fragrance Oils in Palm Wax. Pure soy wax is the way to go with essential oils. - Lima NG
How do you clean the wax?
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing, btw do you think it's a nice combination to mix soy wax and palm wax? I want to make a botanical wax :)
Hi! Thank you so much for watching!! If you're making botanical wax sachets, mixing in soy wax might make the wax a bit too soft. This recipe might help: www.naturesgardencandles.com/heart-air-freshener-recipe :) - Lima NG
@@Naturesgardencandles Thank you so much! but if I want to try like soy wax texture, can soy wax be mixed with beeswax? so it's not too soft...
It is doable, but it depends on how much soy wax you add to the beeswax. I definitely recommend doing a small batch test first to ensure it's the quality you're looking for. :) - Lima NG
@@Naturesgardencandles Ahh okay then, Thank you! :)
You're very welcome! Have a lovely day! :) - Lima NG
Thank you so much for the video Melissa. I would like to know if the company will be introducing new Fragrances this year. Because I have customers requesting some Fragrances maybe I could send them to you
Hi Maribel! Yes, we are always adding new fragrance oils. We would love to hear your suggestions. Feel free to email them to us at info@naturesgardencandles.com. Have a fabulous day!
Love it! Which colours did you use? Thank you! 😊
Thank you; we're glad you like it!! 😊 We used our Spectrum Liquid Candle Dye Color- RED 1oz. www.naturesgardencandles.com/spectrum-red-liquid-candle-dye - Lima NG
So cool I want a kit like this
Thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed the video!
so I have a question with palm wax you heat it to higher temperatures but a lot of FOs I've noticed have a flashpoint somewhere in the high 100's so how do you work around that
Instead of adding 1 oz per pound of wax, on fragrances with lower flashpoints you can go up to 1.5 oz of fragrance oil per pound of wax. - Lima NG
What type of wick do you use
Hi Christopher! I like the CD wicks with the palm wax. It will depend on the scent, but I find, due to the higher melt point of the wax, that I have to wick up. In this case, I used a CD 14 but the fragrance oil will also come into play with the wick size.
Love your video! I have a question for you.
I have 250g of palm wax. How many grams or ml of fragrance oil should I use for it?
And do I need to measure the temperature of the wax? I don’t own a thermometer for candle making
We typically say to add 1.5 oz of fragrance oil to 16 oz of wax. 250 grams is roughly 9 oz, so you can add about 22 grams of fragrance oil to that batch. We always recommend to double check your measurements. You would definitely want to use a thermometer and to follow the temperatures on the recipe: www.naturesgardencandles.com/mas_assets/media/pdf/Palm-Pillar-Candles-Recipe.pdf
@@Naturesgardencandles thank you so much! 😊💛
You're very welcome!
Do you stock the jars on the website? I've seen them used in a couple of recipes online and on your website.
Hello Keisha! Unfortunately, we do not. But we do have some other jars that are quite pretty: www.naturesgardencandles.com/smelly-jelly-jars - Lima NG
What is the recommended cure time for this wax in containers?
Hi!
I always let any of my candles cure for at least 3 days.
what size wick do you use for these pillars
Hi! I used a CD 12. However, you may need to wick up depending on the fragrance oil that you use.
Are there special Palm Wax Fragrances & Colours ?
Hello Natasha! All of our fragrance oils can be used with our Palm Pillar Wax and Pillar of Bliss Wax. For colorants, we recommend color block candle dye or liquid candle dye. - Lima NG
What CD wick size did you use for the first two candles? 14?
They have a 3 inch diameter, so we would recommend a CD 10 :) - Lima
@@Naturesgardencandles Thank you so much for your response:)
Подскажите,до какой температуры нагревание воск ?
You will want to melt the wax to 210F, using a double boiler. :) - Lima NG
@@Naturesgardencandles Большое спасибо!
You're very welcome!
how does natures garden scents work with 464 soy wax?????
Hello Bella! Many of our customers use our 464 Soy Wax and find that many scents work well. I probably would be aware of lighter scents with lower flashpoints, as they may not have as strong of a hot throw with 464. However, all of our fragrance oils are compatible with soy wax. :) - Lima NG
Why my candles 100% palm wax get broken 🙄😔, any help plz
Hi Amine! When working with Palm Wax, we recommend to melt the wax to 210 degrees. Add liquid candle dye and 1 ounce of fragrance per pound of wax. Quickly pour hot candle wax into your molds at 200 degrees. Allow your candles to set up at room temperature and then remove them from the molds. Hopefully you will see better results when sticking to those temperatures. :) Have a great day! - Lima NG
I don’t have any hot throw with my palm wax candles
There are several things that can cause issues with scent throw. Most often, with palm wax, it is the wick. Can you tell me what type and size wick you are using as well as the diameter of your candle?
@@Naturesgardencandles I am making pillar candles. Let’s say 3” diameter and eco wick size 8 (got from lone star candle supply). I used same wick size 4 with thinner diameter and all the way to size 14 with bigger candles. Beautiful cold throw, even if I just walk by candle, but absolutely no hot throw. I do have some cotton wicks I got from Australia, I’ll give it a try with them. I mixed wax with oil for over 3 min, on the temperature I believe around 200-220.
thank you queen 🥺💖

uk conversions of this?
I can definitely try to help. What conversion did you need? Fahrenheit to Celsius? - Lima NG
@@Naturesgardencandles I think I have managed to use a converted now which is great! I was wondering what’s your views on palm wax? I used to use soy however I’m finding it pretty expensive and very weak! Palm wax seems good, however there’s so much negative stigma around it due to palm oil I believe? Any thing you could add? 😊
Perfect! I personally feel that our Palm Pillar Wax gives a great throw and finish to candles. The great thing about our Palm Wax is that it comes from plantations in Malaysia specifically for wax and not from the rain forest. The process to wax is also natural and no chemicals are used. :) - Lima NG
@@Naturesgardencandles Thanks for your reply! So no palm oil is used in this wax? Sorry for the questions! Would love my candles to be as sustainable and ethical as possible 😊
Both palm wax and palm oil are derived from the palm trees on the plantations. The plantations were created in order to provide these resources in an ethical way, and spare the rainforests. :) - Lima NG
I just hate to see waste. The first measuring glass jug way too wide tp pour into melting jug then remaining '40' ounces not cleaned out nor spilled (quite a bit) wax picked up. I love to see a demonstration where the host pours carefully and realize that this shows control and good housekeeping skills. I wouldn't want my customers to think I am careless or a sloppy person. Neat and tidy sells. Thank you for the demo.
Hi Cheryl! Thank you for the feedback. I will say that the glass container was a bit heavy, making it difficult to pour. This is not something we will do in the future. We originally chose to put it in that container show what the wax actually looks like as this is a question we get quite often. We actually did clean our container and utilize all of the wax that was melted, this is just something that was not shown in the video.
