+knupder I think she has do her pfropercy, like She's from Pentos without any power, going east to Vaes Dothrak, gaining some dothrakis before losing them, then going East to Qarth gaining a ship, then going west to Astapoor, gaining Unsulied, Yunkai and then Meereen. lol idk what I'm saying
To me the "to touch the light you must pass through the shadow" bit reminds me of the saying "the night is darkest before the dawn." So it could just imply that in order to reach the "light" or a happy ending, she must first experience or do bad things (death, loss, etc).
"To touch the light, you must pass through the shadow." "To make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs." Maybe it's just to say, "if you want to bring about a great change, you will have to commit some atrocities." 🤷🏼♀️
Haha excellent point. You know I often forget that this entire universe and all the commentary I read surrounding it spans from the day dreams of a single guy. I need to step up my day dreaming.
Even that doesn't do it justice, he's used an incredible amount of well documented and detailed real history, along with a lot of mythical and legendary stories, mixed it all together with strong story writing and clever characterisation, and then produced incredible language and literary techniques to create a masterpiece.Phenomenal effort, time and patience to create something as detailed as this.

no they were connected to her all the time lol. she never became brutal. she punished slavers for hurting 163 slaves! others would have done worse. her dragons sense her emotions. all targaryen dragons in fire and blood book mentioned can sense happiness pain and cry of their master. not brutality only lol. dany was incredible woman in books! and was dealing tactfully with mereen rebels who wanted to brinf slavery back even then her dragon the largest called drogon hurt child due to which she literally chained her dragons. and drogon flew and fled away. its all not synonym to dany or the brutal nature of dragons is not even mentioned as bad thing in books. her dragons are obv not gonna be soft hearted good bois. they all have diff personalities. her one dragon is lazy but the other is so fierce and some are playful. they ONLY are brutal when they sense danger or threat to dany their mother. so idk the show already ruined her excellentjob by the two idiots D&D but these two things u said arent related. all targ ancestors and prev targaryens were more cold and brutal sometimes but their dragons or anyone isnt brutal independently or hurt people without reasonm by that logic stark direwolves are also v v dangerous and aggressive bcs they pick up the trait and emotions of their owners. or kids. but it isn't really true
@@armaghan6223 not really. fire and blood is not just a relation to their dragons and them only. its just slogan too for their house . this statement has duality too. fire and blood are v much needed against the real enemies beyond the wall.
Vaes Dothrak is beneath the Mother of Mountains, meaning it literally is in the shadows. Dany will return to Vaes Dothrak with the Khalasar and pass beneath the shadow
John Johnson But why would she go there? What could she find in Vaes Dothrak? She needs her Dragons which are in Mereen and her children are also on the other side of Essos. I think it's unlikly she will go there, although the theory fits the prophecy. I think Dany will pass through Valyria (maybe on her Drogon) and find an artifact like Euron to bind her other dragons to her will. I think it was said in some chapter that Valyria is also clouded in Darkness, so I think it's more likely.
akrybion Vaes Dothrak have treasure of all the Dothraki conquests maybe A Dragon Binder is there too but the prophecy said that she will find the truth. Maybe the Old Khals wife knows something.
Mick G. nah, by the time Khal Jhaqo, his entire khalasar and all his horses are done raping Dany to death breaking the hearts of all the little warrior princesses out there who luvz dem sum draguns her hot pie will look like the witch king of angmar went at it with his spiked Morningstar.
Russell Wiener I reckon the Dothraki all have tiny winkies though... why else world they compensate so heavily with curved blades, pony tails and leather pants?
Before the eggs were hatched, Dany kept telling herself "If I look back, I am lost." Now Quaithe says "To go forward, you must go back." The last time we saw Daenerys in the books, was when Khal Jhaqo found her munching at charred horse standing proudly beside Drogon. Jhaqo was of Drogo's khalasar, but left shortly before the hatching of the dragons. Perhaps Quaithe is telling her that she needs to win all of the Dothraki.
+LifeSaver996 It seemed that way to me at first, it honestly took me several tries to wrap my head around the books. But once you start learning who is who, who's important and who is a dead end (in GRR's world usually literally dead) and how the world of Westeros/Essos work, it does get much much easier and more interesting. I found even though i'd seen ALL the shows first, to me it did not make reading all the books less enjoyable at all. Books 1 and 2 are teh very best, 3 and 4 not quite but still essential to grasping the story, and 5 - well I'm looking forward to "Winds of Winter". If anything, you already know how the people should look like (the casting of the actors in the TV show is spot-on from the book descriptions and could not be better).
@@robertmaybeth3434 well people do look different in the books. caitlyn is more beautiful, bran and rickon look more like tullys, joff is bigger and very handsome, stannis and robert should be bigger, tyrion way uglier and so on.
George isn’t the type to deliberately hide details for the sake of preserving the twist, so I think if Quaithe really were Shiara, he would have given her the mismatching eyes. However, he’s talked before about how he forgets eye colours, so she might just be a victim of that.
Nah, that would definitely give her away. She probably used magic to change it. Mind you they think tyrion with mismatched eyes is a freak (and the conspiracy about the paternity of the lannister children and the mad king) and they would definitely put attention on her
We don't know that, because that is only shown in the show, and Quaithe's profecies appear only in the books. The two are very different, and we shouldn't mix them up.
Implantedclub I honestly dont know how show watchers understand whats going on, surely they cant understand the history, the geography and all the possible links between different characters from watching the show alone.
I believe that by telling her "to reach the west, [Daenerys] must go east" Quaithe actually meant that she was not yet ready to go to Westeros, because she still lacked the forces and resolve she would eventually need to conquer the Seven Kingdoms, and had to literally find both those things in the opposite direction she was originally headed.
Another excellent and informative video. A couple of things that occurred to me, though. First, small correction: at 6:52 you mention the first Daenerys as one of Aegon IV's bastards, and that's wrong. She was Aegon IV's trueborn daughter, full brother of King Daeron II. Remember, she married Prince Maron Martell of Dorne as part of the pact to bring Dorne into the Seven Kingdoms, which could never have happened if she was a bastard. Also, could passing beneath the shadow be a reference to Drogon himself? The man whose daughter Drogon kills describes him as "the winged shadow", and scenes with Drogon (such as Daznak's Pit) frequently involve the passing of his shadow as the first sign of his presence. The change in Dany's personality you mentioned in Daenerys X ADWD comes soon after she rides Drogon for the first time, which could be what "to touch the light" refers to, since dragons "are fire made flesh". That last bit is admittedly a stretch, but the shadow part seems to fit.
Wolfeson28 Ah, damn, you're right about Aegon's Daenerys. Thanks for the correction. And yeah, Drogon might have something to do with 'passing beneath the shadow', but it's hard to fit that idea into the meaning of the rest of the prophecy.
Yes the shadow part means that she must embrace and live with and trust Drogon. In the final chapter she passes beneath the"shadow" . Meaning pretty much that Dany has earned Drogon's respect.!
Alt Shift X isnt drogon called "the winged shadow" at some point? so if drogons fire if "the light" passing beneath the shadow to touch the light might make sense. she did touch drogon's fire. she would be embracing her inner dragon. it could also be some sort of enlightenment in which she realizes what she must do because she passed beneath the shadow.
I like the idea of Drogon being the shadow. That would mean "passing" isn't meant in the walking way but in the passing a test kind of way. She has to earn Drogon's respect and recognition to "touch the light"; to fly.
A video about who or what the White Walkers actually are would be nice. You could get into the Children of the Forrest connections and the story of the Night's King.
bruncla2303 There are plenty of theories about them being created by the Children of the Forest, them having some sort of aliance with the First Men, their relationship with dragons, if they're intelligant, whos leading the, etc. I'll admit that almost all of these are speculation, but there is actually a lot in the books that you can get ideas/conclusions from.
Legion Normandy Well, I read there's going to be more on them next season. As well as a scene about them that "will be bigger than Hardhome and will break the internet", so beware and brace yourselves....
That prophecy could also hint at the fact that Daenerys might have children in the future. The Sheep people's witch said "When the sun rises in the west, sets in the east, when the seas go dry and the mountains blow in the wind like leaves" Now Quaithe is saying something very similar, that Daenerys Has to go left to go right. Could that mean that she, by travelling upside down, might "see" the run setting in the opposite direction, and have her baby? Maybe by travelling to the opposite side of the world (not Asshai, but maybe Yi Ti) she i'll eventually reach a point where, just like in our hemispheres, things are reversed or something. All the other predictions are possible metaphors. Mountains blowing? Think about the Wall being destroyed by the Ice Dragon, it was like a mountain being blown by literal wind (of ice...and fire). Or maybe a vulcano. Seas going dry? Could be anything: a lake burning up because of some fire caused by man, some dragon, some vulcano. Some natural disaster like in Valyria. Maybe the Old Ones from the Iron Islands evoked by Euron Greyjoy. So maybe Daenerys might have a baby in the future and Quaithe is hinting on HOW she must do it. She must distrust all of those people and go "to" Asshai (but she might go to other far east places, like Yi Ti, where we know there is a Wall-Like fortress guarding the world from Dead People). I find it curious that Valyria is the "Fire" place, where Targaryens come from, but it also ended by having "The sea burning up" and mountains (palaces?) destroyed, dragons almost gone, and now it's a place where only stone men live, like an Old vulcano, once filled with Lava, now just stone. And the stone men are said to infect others by touch, like the Others. Also, they are said to be ruled by this king, who was once pure stone, kissed by a stone woman...that all looks like the Night's King to me. So isn't it a little strange that the place of Fire became the place of Stone (maybe Ice)? Could this be a destiny of Targaryens?
There is a theory that the witch was wrong and that dany was suffering a miscarriage in her last chapter, since there was a lot more blood than usual and she couldn't remember her last period. She may have been infertile before but I think that when she hatched the dragons it filled her with magic that erased the witch's magic
I'm sure someone somewhere has said this, but "to touch the light, you must pass under the shadow," sounds a lot like the requirements for wielding the sword of light of Azor Ahai. I wonder if like so many others in this series, Dany must become immortal, or narrowly escape a true death (fire doesn't count, it wouldn't kill a Dragon) in order to complete the prophecy.
Very perceptive. I have read the books more times than I care to admit, but never did I connect Light-Bringer & that prophecy...Nor have I heard anyone else make that assertion....Well done, good stuff..
I love your videos just like everyone else here. Your explanations are thorough, well supported and easily understood, just great. What about a video on patch face and his nonsensical yet prophetic sayings? Or perhaps one on all of the song of ice and fire prophecies in general? Just an idea, either way I hope to see more!
I'd like a video exploring the connection between the Starks and their wolves. How their personalities and maybe more are reflected by the wolves and vise versa. Even if we don't have facts as much as curious observations to go by. Had a great time with this video, just like others. Thanks as always.
I definitely think Quaithe and Shiera Seastar have a connection if they aren't the same person. But what's even more interesting to me is if you think about the idea of Ice and Fire you can fit Bloodraven and Quaithe (or Shiera or Shiera's great, great granddaughter or whoever she is) into Ice and Fire respectively as sort of prophets or guides to two major characters on the two sides of the world and the story.
Bloodraven and Shiera were on the same side... I guess it can mean that they're trying to bring Jon and Dany together to defeat the others... not actually to pit them against eachother.
@Dalton K I really want to read the books mainly for all the far Eastern stories, legends, and heroes. They don't really talk about it in the shows I hope they do in the future prequels and other spinoffs.
@@vigzy77 It's Mordor, not Minas Morgul where one does not simply go. But no, it's not really like either of those places. I think in the first book when Drogo dies Jorah suggests going there and that alone does not really sound like it's this place where you go and never return.
When's the next video? You do amazing work. Few ideas that you could do great with: dragonglass theories or how you like or dislike the differences from the show and books.

Wow, just wow. Your videos are always so informative and well thought through, especially with the extensive use of quotations. It must take you ages to find all those quotations and then piece together these theories.
"To touch light you must pass beneath the shadow" she is saying that to go to oldtown (the lighthouse) you must pass beneath Asshai So she is saying that the world is a circle and that through east she can to westeros
You got 15000 views in one day dudd PUT MORE VIDEOS OUT WE LOVE YOUR STUFF! you and Preston Jacobs and red team review are my top 3 fav and have the most interesting and informative videos about GOT
"In the Shadow Lands beyond Asshai, they say there are fields of Ghost Grass, with stalks as pale as milk that glow in the night, murders all other grass. The Dothraki believe that one day, it'll cover everything, and that's the way the world will end." Is north of the wall beyond asshai perhaps?
You're burning through all these theories so quick it's hard to know which ones you haven't gotten too already. Ummm... There are small ones like the one about the maesters killing the dragons, who is the hooded man in WInterfell, what the hell happened to Tyrek Lannister (seriously though, Varys?). The only big ones left though are The Great Northern Conspiracy, Grand Tyrell Conspiracy, and Southron Ambitions. I guess you could do Frey pies as well, it's not really a mystery/theory (heavily implied in text) but it would still be fun to cover for the show watchers who don't mind book spoilers. There aren't many left anyway, lol.
supervegeta101 Has he done the fAegon theory? He briefly mentioned it in this video when he talked about the Mummer's Dragon, but I don't recall him making a video about it.
Theres allso a new popular theory, that says that, theres a dragon under hardhome, and how it couls change jon, bassicaly hardhome burned doen it was implied in the text by dragon fire an tje valyrians where there asswell as a oar of an imvassion plan
johncio91 The Grand Tyrell is one that basically says Loras is alive and well and only took a few, if any ships, to Dragonstone and that he took the rest of the Redwyne fleet to sail back to Shield Islands and protect the Reach from Iron born. Southron ambitions is more involved but the TL;DR version is that the Mad King was right to be paranoid. Rickard Stark was working with the other great houses to form an alliance to remove Aerys and make Rhaegar King. towerofthehand.com/blog/2012/01/05-southron-ambitions/
supervegeta101 Oh ok i had thought the grand tyrell was something to do with Margarey finally becoming queen. As for southron i had heard about this recently and did not know it had a name.
I love watching your videos. I do not read books becouse I cant find any in my country, but when I watch your videos I see that you are only puting stuff and quotes from books. I now realise how little I know about Game Of Thrones. Really like them, I see that GoT world from show is like 3% from books and much more diffrent. You are awsome!
"to touch the light, you must pass beneath the shadow" could be as simple as "to accomplish true good, you must have a taste of evil and darkness". To conquer and to take over, she has to be capable of conquering, and all the things that come with it.
There could also be more to the "To go forward, you must go back" idea. The Dothraki will obviously take Dany back to Vaes Dothrak to follow their traditions concerning the widows of the khals, and Vaes Dothrak is east of both Meereen and her ultimate goal of Westeros. And considering the fact that she is almost certainly going to meet Jon suggests that she is going to start her invasion of Westeros in the south, but then goes north to join/meet Jon. Also, going back to her roots doesn't necessarily mean that Dany is going to become a villain, just that she's going to be a conqueror
I know you've done most of them, but do you plan to cover all the main theories that are floating around? I'd love to see a video where you talk about The Grand Northern Conspiracy (lengthy) and of course Coldhands.
Make a video about the "Master Plan" of Doran Martell and how Daenerys Targaryen may be involved since its birth. Thank you, congratulations and keep up the excellent work in these videos!
Dany's always done what other people told her to. Go to this place, be with this guy, act like this, be this way, etc. She's been given more responsibility and expectations than anyone can handle. It seems more like what happened in the desert was her wake up call to take control of her life and stop trying to live up to other people's expectations.
YESSSSS new video! Every day I go on my subscribed list of RUclipsrs, looking for this. Just want to thank you for all your awesome videos! Keep up the good work :)
Another great video :) Even though it's kind of a minor theory, could you cover the theory about Loras Tyrell being alive and the suspicious events at Dragonstone? It'd be cool to see you give your take on some small theories or just dismiss them outright, so that they can stop plaguing my brain.
Alt Shift X would be awesome :) I'm glad we get to see much more of his character in the show and better understand his relationships with other characters as well, he always felt like a mystery to me when reading the books.
Alt Shift X you make the best videos. I like them before I even start because I know their going to be great, but please don't waste your time with Loras. Their are so many better things you could cover other than Loras Tyrell.
It's a compelling argument. And there is decent evidence to support it. However, couldn't Quaithe also possibly be Ashara Dayne? Of course, for this to be possible, you would have to embrace the idea that R+L = D & B+A = J, involving a baby swap, and also explaining why Eddard's thoughts throughout his story line in the books focus so much on Daenerys (a Targaryan child he supposedly doesn't even know) but very little on Jon (supposedly his own son). And it would also explain why when Jon asked about his mother, he never said to Jon, "you are my son." Instead, he said "you have my blood." Meaning that at the Tower of Joy, Eddard found Lyanna in a bed of blood, having just given birth to...a white haired baby Targaryan girl, thus making the "promise" one to keep her safe and out of the reach of Robert, who had vowed to kill all Targaryans. Also meaning that Eddard couldn't very well return to Winterfell with a white haired Targaryan baby without raising a few eyebrows...meaning a baby swap with Ashara Dayne at Starfall, since Ashara had already given birth to a baby shortly before the alleged birth of Lyanna's child at the Tower of Joy. Now, many embracing this idea believe that this would clearly make Jon Eddard's son, because its believed that Eddard & Ashara had a thing. But at the tourney at Harrenhall, where Ashara allegedly got knocked up, if you recall, Eddard spent the evening in his tent with Howland Reed, because he had room in his tent for another since his brother Brandon hadn't returned that evening. Brandon was dancing with Ashara earlier that evening, while Ned, Howland, & his siblings were all busy devising plans of vengeance against the squires who had assaulted Howland earlier. So if she got knocked up that evening, it wasn't by Eddard. So Ashara giving birth to a dark haired baby, swapping the child for Eddard's new niece, and then faking her suicide to protect against anyone even thinking of looking for her OR the baby, makes much more sense. This would also clear the way for Ashara to travel to Ashai to study the various different magics to be learned there. It would also explain why, if she is actually Quaithe, that she wears a mask, as Ashara was also a very beautiful woman of note, and possibly easily recognized. Sorry for the extremely long explanation. I'm just a bit frustrated that the show hasn't played up Quaithe's significance as much as it is in the books.
the more i find out from the books the angrier i get at the show for not playing certain people but the show and book will most likely be very different from this season onw3ard
Your theories are a true inspiration! Definitely makes me want to read the books ASAP! I watched GOT in record time, and every time I check the library, or the book store, the books are not all in stock...i am ordering them online right now... Thanks for all of the insight!
Another great video! Could you do a video on Melissandre, "The Red Woman" and her motivations, plots, and history? I would appreciate it if you could. If not, thanks all the same. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Well, she might want to help Danny because she brought dragons to life, and with them she seems to have awakened magic, so it comes to reason that a sorceress would want this, to make sure that magic returns as strong as possible (kind of an exact opposite to the supposed maester conspiracy, wich Marwyn also seems to be against, wich would explain why he and Quaithe/Shiera could be working together)
These are such great videos. Easy to follow, informative, and objective. I would love to see one about the Grand Faceless Man Theory and the Grand Tyrell Conspiracy.
Your videos are awesome, i haven't read the books so know i know that they didn't handle this properly in the show, we never see Quaithe after Dany leaves Quarth, and now the season 5 finale makes more sense
+jltavare That could be, since everyone from Maester Luwin to Theon think Old Nan is just a jimmy big fibber and an "old bat" and that her tales are just so much nonsense. Yet every tale Old Nan told the Stark kids turns out to be correct sooner or later. She mentions the white walkers, the "long Night that lasted a generation (20 years)" mammoths and giants and the Children of the forest. None of the adults believes her tales. Yet as we get more into the story, there they all are. And back to her identity - there is no mention of Old Nan's fate, after Theon took over Winterfell. Her body is never found, nor is she ever mentioned again. Old Nan just disappears.
+jltavare I like that a lot. I think Bloodraven and Old Nan are really the villains. Old Nan manipulated Willis to unleash The Great Other, Hodor. Bloodraven is manipulating Bran to use the dragons against the human armies. Bran wargs into a dragon, flies down towards the battle, then suddenly recognises Jaime Lannister goes beserk.
+Jago Sevetar I read a theory about the end game that sounds very plausible. Dany will fight for fire, Bran will be the representative for the Others for ice, and Jon will be the ultimate mediator of the two.
Very good. I'd forgotten that bit about the dragon glass letting people enter dreams and create visions. Brilliant Pick of Destiny reference btw. Maybe a little video about what Dany saw at The House of the Undying. Like all the threes, "child of three" "three-headed dragon" "three fires, three mounts, three treasons." I'd be interested to hear your speculation on all that.
Just saw this get posted to the sub. Loved the video, and I have since subscribed after watching all of your other ones. Keep up the great work and I look forward to any and all future videos!
She is literally saying she needs to go to Asshai, its not a play on words. After Quaithe says this, Dany asks what will she find in Asshai and Quaithe says 'Truth'. I dont know why we must reject this interpretation? We may not see Asshai in the books (I also don't buy this), but that doesn't mean Dany won't pass through without a POV chapter and tell of her journey when she reaches Westeros from the west.
Pass beneath the shadow to get to the light could just mean that she has to make a decision which will cause a lot of misery and darkness first, before it leading to ultimate improvement and have ultimately positive consequences, which would fit the fire and blood thing.
Love the videos I think they are great. I like how you give all the evidence not just ones that back up the theory or claim. You should do a video about coldhands. Also some other interesting video ideas are Maggy and her prophesy, dragon glass and dragonsteel, the white walker king from the show, and the nights children. Maybe the horn of winter? (not sure if that's the right name. It's the one that supposedly will bring down the wall if blown.)
amazing vid! If you want to, please do some theories about VIctarion. There are so many rumors surrounding him and the potential for his plotline. The Dusky woman is euron, the dragon-binding horn, benerro, his crackling arm, poisoned gifts, all could be a good video
Juicy review! :D For a future topic (involves spoilers from up to the same ADWD chapters): Did Mirri Maz Duur intentionally kill Drogo and his and Dany's unborn child way back in AGOT by applying false medical care to his wounds or when casting the blood ritual, or did she not at all, and had her instructions been heeded things would have turned out rather differently for Dany. Also - in the last Dany chapter of ADWD, did Mirri's "When the sun sets in the East" prophecy complete, and what might be the consequences of it if it has?
Andris Stafeckis Not Drogo, he did of being pig headed. She said don't drink, he got hammered. She said keep the wound clean and change the bandages, he smeared mud in the wound and mocked her. He died of an infection, but I think she did kill the baby intentionally.
Andris Stafeckis How do you explain the description of the child when Danny awakes. If the description was correct and the skin was falling off the child was already dead.
johncio91 Mirri also said that if the shadows are dancing, no living people is allowed to enter the tent. Jorah entered the tent with Dany and her unborn child...
Andris Stafeckis As supervegeta101 said before, Drogo's death was mainly his own doing but I would think Mirri did not want the "Stallion Who Mounts The World" to be born (after what happened to her and her people it's understandable) so she made sure Rhaego won't survive. It was essentially a "would you kill baby Hitler in his crib" kind of deal and she did not hesitate to pull the trigger. Dany asking for a blood magic ritual to save Drogo was a convenient excuse to get rid of them both.
We think Quaithe is Ashara Dayne She would be the right age Daynes are also associated with Stars (Dark Star Star of the Morning) Whose body was never found Went to Ashai for shadowbinder training Learned how to use Dragonglass candles knew Dany as a small child in Dorne B4 Pentos which explains the recurring dreams about lemon trees as a child. Would unify many plot points and the Dornish master plan.
Maester Aemon: I'm the oldest person in Westeros Shiera Seastar: Well I'm not in Westeros Bryden Rivers: And I'm not what you would call a person anymore
It would be super cool if you do a prediction to the end of the books/ show. And the future of the main characters. You always have so much information and support your theories so well! Please do a prediction video ! :)

The show executed it poorly but Alt was onto something.
It hasn't aged at all. George is still working on Winds of Winter at glacial speed, so we will have to wait and see.
Winds of Winter hasn’t even come out yet, wtf are you on about???

To me the "to touch the light you must pass through the shadow" bit reminds me of the saying "the night is darkest before the dawn." So it could just imply that in order to reach the "light" or a happy ending, she must first experience or do bad things (death, loss, etc).
"To touch the light, you must pass through the shadow."
"To make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs."
Maybe it's just to say, "if you want to bring about a great change, you will have to commit some atrocities." 🤷🏼♀️

Much of it comes from fans, hundreds of them
I definitely noticed in the show how Dany's dragons were suddenly more connected with her when she became more brutal.
I mean that is the relation between dragons and the targaryen blood-line, "Fire and Blood."
no they were connected to her all the time lol. she never became brutal. she punished slavers for hurting 163 slaves! others would have done worse. her dragons sense her emotions. all targaryen dragons in fire and blood book mentioned can sense happiness pain and cry of their master. not brutality only lol. dany was incredible woman in books! and was dealing tactfully with mereen rebels who wanted to brinf slavery back even then her dragon the largest called drogon hurt child due to which she literally chained her dragons. and drogon flew and fled away. its all not synonym to dany or the brutal nature of dragons is not even mentioned as bad thing in books. her dragons are obv not gonna be soft hearted good bois. they all have diff personalities. her one dragon is lazy but the other is so fierce and some are playful. they ONLY are brutal when they sense danger or threat to dany their mother. so idk the show already ruined her excellentjob by the two idiots D&D but these two things u said arent related. all targ ancestors and prev targaryens were more cold and brutal sometimes but their dragons or anyone isnt brutal independently or hurt people without reasonm by that logic stark direwolves are also v v dangerous and aggressive bcs they pick up the trait and emotions of their owners. or kids. but it isn't really true
@@armaghan6223 not really. fire and blood is not just a relation to their dragons and them only. its just slogan too for their house . this statement has duality too. fire and blood are v much needed against the real enemies beyond the wall.

When I read Daenerys X, I couldn't help being reminded of that part in the Lion King when Simba sees Mufasa in the clouds. "remember who you are"
Vaes Dothrak is beneath the Mother of Mountains, meaning it literally is in the shadows. Dany will return to Vaes Dothrak with the Khalasar and pass beneath the shadow
John Johnson To go west you must go east, fits there too!
John Johnson Yes, but some of his theories are just ridiculous
John Johnson But why would she go there? What could she find in Vaes Dothrak? She needs her Dragons which are in Mereen and her children are also on the other side of Essos. I think it's unlikly she will go there, although the theory fits the prophecy.
I think Dany will pass through Valyria (maybe on her Drogon) and find an artifact like Euron to bind her other dragons to her will. I think it was said in some chapter that Valyria is also clouded in Darkness, so I think it's more likely.
John Johnson The shadows means. the dragon eggs born place? As it was mentioned in the start of the show to Daenerys?
akrybion Vaes Dothrak have treasure of all the Dothraki conquests maybe A Dragon Binder is there too but the prophecy said that she will find the truth. Maybe the Old Khals wife knows something.

"I am the Three Eyed Raven now"
🤣🤣
Before the eggs were hatched, Dany kept telling herself "If I look back, I am lost."
Now Quaithe says "To go forward, you must go back."
The last time we saw Daenerys in the books, was when Khal Jhaqo found her munching at charred horse standing proudly beside Drogon. Jhaqo was of Drogo's khalasar, but left shortly before the hatching of the dragons. Perhaps Quaithe is telling her that she needs to win all of the Dothraki.
These videos are sooo confusing to someone who hasn't read the books it's unreal. I mean this universe is SO MASSIVE, so massive...
I don't read the book but I get it. All you have to do is watch more than one of his video.
I highly recommend reading the books! Just realize they are different and more complex from the show. They are both enjoyable.
I'm trying to find Canada on the map. Canada is The North
Should've asked today's video sponsor, World Anvil 😂
Nah, that would definitely give her away. She probably used magic to change it. Mind you they think tyrion with mismatched eyes is a freak (and the conspiracy about the paternity of the lannister children and the mad king) and they would definitely put attention on her
aaannnd now we know Melisandre is an old woman so Quaithe might be too, just hiding it as well.
And the symbols on quaithe's face mask are the same as on melisandre's necklace
we don't know that
IchibanOjousama they look pretty similar if you compare them
We don't know that, because that is only shown in the show, and Quaithe's profecies appear only in the books. The two are very different, and we shouldn't mix them up.
the shape of the pieces of her masks are same on Melisandre's necklace... that's a solid clue there I think..
I wonder if GRRM misspelled asshat and was like "hey this is a good name"
+DarkLordLink I really hope that's true

Because most GOT fans are filthy show casuals
Implantedclub I honestly dont know how show watchers understand whats going on, surely they cant understand the history, the geography and all the possible links between different characters from watching the show alone.
Lakanus Only the book-readers come here. We're a low percentage of the overall GoT fans now that the show came out.
Uiomi I gave up on the books at the beginning of the first and I am here anyway.
Alt Shift X could it mean she had to drink shade-of-the-evening?
I legitimately theorized that Quaithe was Shiera before watching this. It makes me happy to know that you pointed it out as a possibility :)
A video about who or what the White Walkers actually are would be nice. You could get into the Children of the Forrest connections and the story of the Night's King.
Legion Normandy problem is there are almost no informations on WW they come in winter and than there is legend about night king.
bruncla2303 There are plenty of theories about them being created by the Children of the Forest, them having some sort of aliance with the First Men, their relationship with dragons, if they're intelligant, whos leading the, etc. I'll admit that almost all of these are speculation, but there is actually a lot in the books that you can get ideas/conclusions from.
Legion Normandy Well, I read there's going to be more on them next season. As well as a scene about them that "will be bigger than Hardhome and will break the internet", so beware and brace yourselves....
giupinkfairy Where is that quote from?
God, I've watched like five if these in a row. Where have you been my entire life?
Quaithe's eyes remind me of Anne Hathaway
Hey maybe it is Anne Hathaway under there. We may never know.
***** I was kidding but that's cool to know.
That prophecy could also hint at the fact that Daenerys might have children in the future.
The Sheep people's witch said "When the sun rises in the west, sets in the east, when the seas go dry and the mountains blow in the wind like leaves"
Now Quaithe is saying something very similar, that Daenerys Has to go left to go right.

Your videos are so enjoyable! They increase my delight in the books.

There aren't many left anyway, lol.
supervegeta101 I have not heard of the Grand Tyrell conspiracy or Southron Ambitions.
supervegeta101 Has he done the fAegon theory? He briefly mentioned it in this video when he talked about the Mummer's Dragon, but I don't recall him making a video about it.

johncio91
The Grand Tyrell is one that basically says Loras is alive and well and only took a few, if any ships, to Dragonstone and that he took the rest of the Redwyne fleet to sail back to Shield Islands and protect the Reach from Iron born.

"to touch the light, you must pass beneath the shadow" could be as simple as "to accomplish true good, you must have a taste of evil and darkness". To conquer and to take over, she has to be capable of conquering, and all the things that come with it.
Awesome video! Thanks for making them, definitely the best ASOIAF theory videos out there. I'd love to see something about Benjen Stark.

+Sam Limmer Yeah, I wonder what Quaithe would look like without her mask on...I doubt it would be fapworthy, lol.
Sam Limmer Quaithe is kinvara the high priestess. she is keeping Dany safe as she believes Dany is the princess that was promised
I honestly can’t hear her name without giggling and thinking “queef”.
Dude!! You predicted Dothraki will join Danny almost a year ago!! Kudos to you sir
A Dance With Dragons has been out since 2011 so yeah lol
love you ASOIAF videos man, keep them coming!

Normally I hate all the secret identity/secret Targ theories, but this one genuinely makes sense. You've convinced me lol. Great video as always.
Dany's always done what other people told her to. Go to this place, be with this guy, act like this, be this way, etc. She's been given more responsibility and expectations than anyone can handle. It seems more like what happened in the desert was her wake up call to take control of her life and stop trying to live up to other people's expectations.

Another great video :) Even though it's kind of a minor theory, could you cover the theory about Loras Tyrell being alive and the suspicious events at Dragonstone? It'd be cool to see you give your take on some small theories or just dismiss them outright, so that they can stop plaguing my brain.
SpaztasticSheep A video about Loras could be cool actually - could talk about differences between his portrayal on the show vs. the books.
Absolutely love your videos. Can't wait to see more content!
I've been waiting for this! I'm so interested in what's going to happen with Quaithe.
Wow! This is the most informative Quaithe video. Subscribed
These are such great videos. Easy to follow, informative, and objective. I would love to see one about the Grand Faceless Man Theory and the Grand Tyrell Conspiracy.
Damn your videos are great.. all of these theories and how you explain them is awesome..keep up doing them! :D
Once again another amazing video. Keep it up man I fucking love your videos!
Your videos are awesome, i haven't read the books so know i know that they didn't handle this properly in the show, we never see Quaithe after Dany leaves Quarth, and now the season 5 finale makes more sense
You are probably correct but I also like the theory that Old Nan is Shiera and that is why she was always at Winterfell to near Bloodraven.
Isn't Old Nan Hodor's grandmother?
ZinaD Yeah it could be. I don't think it will be like that in the show, but in the books it might.
Come back after season 8 of GoT. This video accurately predicted Dany's descendance to violence. Brilliant video!
Your videos make me exited when they drop in my sub box, keep up the good GOT vids!
I'd love to see a spin-off Biopic on Sir Barriston with major asoisf sequences and events and occurring in the background. He was involved in so much.
+Brian Jacobs I'd love that to. Barristan has an awesome origin story.
You should definitely do the Bloodraven theory.
amazing vid! If you want to, please do some theories about VIctarion. There are so many rumors surrounding him and the potential for his plotline. The Dusky woman is euron, the dragon-binding horn, benerro, his crackling arm, poisoned gifts, all could be a good video
Juicy review! :D
For a future topic (involves spoilers from up to the same ADWD chapters):
Did Mirri Maz Duur intentionally kill Drogo and his and Dany's unborn child way back in AGOT by applying false medical care to his wounds or when casting the blood ritual, or did she not at all, and had her instructions been heeded things would have turned out rather differently for Dany.
That was probably a warning because she could of known the shadows would harm those who enter. When the ritual began.
Well done! This might be my favorite of all the theories
In the show, Quaithe’s role is oddly small, and never explained in the show AT ALL. 🤦♀️
I'd love to see you do a video on the Grand Northern Conspiracy! Keep up the good work.
We think Quaithe is Ashara Dayne
She would be the right age
Daynes are also associated with Stars
(Dark Star Star of the Morning)
Whose body was never found
Went to Ashai for shadowbinder training
Learned how to use Dragonglass candles
knew Dany as a small child in Dorne B4 Pentos
which explains the recurring dreams
about lemon trees as a child.
Would unify many plot points and the Dornish master plan.
Maester Aemon: I'm the oldest person in Westeros
Shiera Seastar: Well I'm not in Westeros
Bryden Rivers: And I'm not what you would call a person anymore
I always thought that Quaithe is Ashara Dayne.
Aaron Frank this is another theory floating around
kingstoken And that Septa Lemore is Ashara Dayne.
EVERYONE is Ashara Dayne. ;)
:D Kinda like Dario is Euron and Harpy and certain Lannister and what not ....basically Dario is everybody.
In fact GRRM maybe using duality here as well
FM and Arya are NO One
Ashara ,Euron and Dario are EVERY One .LOL
Right, i always thought that i am the only one who know that secret.
It would be super cool if you do a prediction to the end of the books/ show. And the future of the main characters. You always have so much information and support your theories so well!
Please do a prediction video ! :)
the shadow is under the horse statues entering dothraki city.
your theories are great! I love your videos!
HERE AFTER S08E05..SHE DID TURN TO VIOLENCE "FIRE AND BLOOD"
YOU SIR ARE A LEGEND ,EVERYTHING U PREDICTED CAME TRUE
about her violence
about aegon targaryen
WELL DONE BROTHER KEEP IT UP
It kinda feels like bittersweet now.
This video is about the books not the show
Yeah, she turned because of awful writing, and this video is about the books, not the television show. For the books, it is just a theory. Nothing more.
I just love this guy's voice it's so satisfying to listen to I can't explain why.
