I was fortunate enough to be on track with Cory West, Patricia Fernandez, and Jake Lewis last August at Road America. The cooler part was that Saddlemen decided to park their whole setup right next to me in the paddock. When I say that these baggers are fast, they are FAST. The whole Saddlemen race team is a total class act.

Those baggers rip.... ive been at a trackday at road america , and been passed by them like i was on a scooter....u can feel them coming long b4 they pass....
I do trackdays all the time. What I wouldn’t do to have a ride on one of these, let alone get passed by one.
@FootageFactory memorial weekend at road america.... z.a.r.s. few of the baggers are usually there testing , at least last 2 yrs for sure..

The Sportglide has already been made and is currently in production. It's a Softail. I think it came out in 2018.

Harley continues to use “thick-wall” steel tubing on their production bikes. Imagine the weight savings by simply incorporating “aluminum” swingarms.
Or having the option to purchase “forged” alloy wheels, versus the stupidly heavy cast pieces

10 years ago 1000cc SBK made 40hp less than they do now.
Hearing a few of them go by youd think it was a fucking rr merlin or something.

I bet you can not find 8 stock production parts on the entire bike.. realistically..Harleys and Indian "baggers" are not performance bikes in any way shape or form. They use to race the 883 class before us super sport guys. They always look for a way to let harley win. At least Indians are in the mix. Can i buy a Ducati tape two boxes on the back and race in the "bagger" class? Lol
If it weighs 650 lbs then yes
There are actually a shocking amount of stock parts on the bike. Like the entire frame.
And it still makes less HP than a stock 1k.

Not that any of the numbers really matter at all. Pro riders from any category could beat us mortals even if we had 1ks and they were on mopeds. Much more to it than hp and torque numbers.
@@opticalecho119 a friend works on the team. It wasn't an in-depth official interview, but he said they have to keep the frame, engine cases, have a displacement limit, and must weigh at least a certain amount (maybe he said 620 lbs?). Beyond that, the bikes are mostly custom parts.
Once all the Japanese style performance parts are added the HD’s aren’t too bad.
Nothing Japanese about the performance parts they're putting on them most of them are made right here in America by Craftsman like Sly Fox Racing or Legend suspension lots of them are handmade not much China garbage here
