@@je-freenorman7787 That's an awfully imbalanced way to look at things. Masculine and feminine are two sides of the same coin. You completely nailed it! I couldn’t agree more. I came into magic through a more polytheistic route (kinda the inverse of you I suppose) but I found most of the prevalent polytheistic models to be unsatisfactory. I’ve since come to the experience that gods are aspects of the universal, much like how I am also an aspect of the universal. Real, but not static or divided. Simultaneously a part and the whole. Your videos are always fantastic and I hope you have a great day 💙
You explained your viewpoint very well and it was very easy to understand. At first I was a bit confused in the beginning of the video but watching until the end reminded me of what Spinoza might have believed. I don't know if you agree with his view of God. Personally I don't agree with your view nor Spinoza's (I consider myself a Christian), neither with the people that claim to be Christian and live in a manner that is at odds with what Christ taught. I think to an extent it's ok to feed spiritual "baby food" for some people but that's a whole different conversation, but basically it's why fellowship is so important. I really enjoy these types of Esoteric Saturdays and hope you make more. Cheers!
Another wonderful video. Smart, pragmatic, sardonic but not cynical and delivered in the quintessentially dry and witty (British) Foolish Fish fashion. Bravo and thank you!!!
The keyboard cut!! 😆 Great explanation! I also have intuited that a direct connection would cause me to lose my relationships, job and eventual life (if I weren’t spirited away in a chariot of fire).
In the early days after my first fully numinous experience, I couldn't understand why we still have any any kind of society left if all the people who claimed to be Christian, including all our politicians, were indeed permanently living with this kind of experience... I was so confused! Yeah, I was a pretty dumb kid XD Didn't take me long to work out what was _really_ going on... ;P

This made me laugh so hard, the part in the beginning, "my god is better than your god". Even growing up catholic as a child I thought it was pretty ridiculous that there were so many religions and people fighting for their religions to be the right one, when we're all talking about the same thing. Even as a child the differences in religions already seemed more cultural than anything else and the only difference to me was which meat different people are allowed to eat. I loved the part about opening different valves. it's such a good metaphor. As well as if god really is all-encompassing, it makes so much sense that it would be way too much to live a normal life to experience it all at once.
@@moma8518 No, I said that's how it appeared to me as a child, based on how people lived their life when they were saying they were religious, that was the only difference to me. I already had a sense that we were all talking about the same thing anyway and there was no reason to fight
Glad I found your channel, and quite pleasantly surprised that you are so clear about the monotheistic aspect of early India - Parabhrahma, which most of the Indians keep buried deep in their subconscious while they fight over religion and castes 🙃😇 Thanks for all the info you share.
Peoples beliefs are personal things; so it is petty that people would click on your videos just to try to belittle them, without proper dialog. I can't argue with what you say, and agree that most of humanity currently lacks the required understanding to fit together the all the pieces of what existence is all about. I suspect people see certain things as real and material, and other things as mythical and intangible, and are not willing to adapt to any different way of thinking. I believe everything comes from one source, so everything must be related. I believe Magic, Spirituality and Science are the same thing; as are Will, Faith and Knowledge; and Ritual, Prayer and Learning. They are designed to help us reach a greater power.
Thank you for the wisdom. Listening to you makes me rethink many things that are on a subconscious level but need shedding light on now more than ever.
I agree, tho I have always wished someone would create a compendium of the various types of spirits and how they differ. For instance, if you ask an angel to help you get a job, vs asking a demon, does one manifest faster than the other? Is an angel more likely to give you a spiritually challenging job while a demon brings you excess and indulgence? What about things like Fae? or enochian angels vs hebrew angels?... there are so many different kinds of spirits and there is a lot of overlap in their abilities, but they all seem to have unique characteristics as well. I feel like id need to live to be over 100 years old to accomplish something like that.
I have arrived to your same truths and I started in Christianity but was seeking the truth no matter what the cost. It has also led me to esoterica and recently to your channel. I appreciate your true trust in the God that just what it is, all that it is. What can we do about it or to affect it but to experience it and observe it either consciously or blindly? The no thing that is all is unlimited creative potential energy unexpressed, the logos is the expressive energy, the perfect word or work, or in my words is perfect intention. I would rather live my life as an intentional creator rather than helpless experiencer. Woke
This concurs with my sentiments exactly. To attempt to pierce the veil beyond the Ain Soph would lead to madness and destruction, and should never be attempted. This is why systems such as the Abramelin rely on intermediaries.
Thank you so much for doing this channel. I've watched a few of your videos and they all really resonate with me. Love your clear explanations and your dry humour.😊
One could read about bad things happening to others and learn from them but there would be something missing. Its like knowing everything about swimming but never have been in the water. No one gets out of here without getting kicked in the cranberries.
Thanks for that shortcut! It would have taken me a few more years to reach perhaps some kind of conclusion and still not being able to expose it in such clear way...
This explanation of religion makes more sense then I hv heard in all my life. It is like u articulated how I arrived @ the point in my life where I hv been for abt 7 yrs now. I will share ur video w/ others that I know feel the same as I do. Thnx so much.
This is the first of your videos that I see (Even though I’ve been subscribed to your channel for, what?, a month?, maybe more?) and even though I am not a practitioner of magick (mainly because I don’t know where to start and also because my other intellectual ambitions demand so much time it leaves me little to go deep into magick) I am very interested on it. I find your opinion about God as an all encompassing Intelligence the pervades all to corners of existence, from the highest Hight to the lowest Depth, to be just the same sense I have had for a few years now. It is so obvious, yet, whenever you bring this in polite conversation, you will be frown upon. Such a shame. Thanks for all of your inputs. I think Otto was unto something when he talked about the Mysterium Tremendum as that awe inspiring horror of divinity. Not only as Divinity itself being able to drive you into insanity if you contemplated it head on (seeing the true face of God, the true form of the Goddess as she showed herself to Arjun, etc), but also as Divinity to be found in the most putrid lows. Some saints and lay people have found such lights in the most vile places on Earth. There is truth to that saying about how you need to go deep into Hell if you want to reach Heaven.
Yeah... I can't comprehend it with the mind so might as well say that "I don't know". But because of this freedom from ideology while growing up in Dutch protestant schools. Having an "Atheist" father but both parents believing in spirits and certain magicks (due to experiences). That always had me very open-minded, spiritual, curious and also scientifically minded I saw Jesus as a super hero. But it always stuck to me that Jesus said that "We are all God's children". Not just Jesus but us all. Which makes Jesus a kind of philosopher to me. I do have the thoughts when I see certain hilarious or awe inspiring "coincidences" that a Christian would say "Hey that's proof of God, see". I've also prayed before, but now I simply meditate. I could see the argument of a at least 5D consciousness of which we are part of. But basically you can think of a million things of what could be actually real. For all I know it could all be real, every religion is accurate or anything anyone can think of. If our reality is an illusion created by consciousness, then anything we can think of becomes part of that consciousness. And thus reality.
Brilliant video! As soon as I read the title of this I had an intuition about what you're gonna talk about and felt like giving it a like even before I could listen, but then I listened anyway and you are so right. P.S.: I love how in each video you remind people to be kind in the comments and to remember that the ones they interact with are people as well.
Hey Moni O Thank you so much for your kind words! And yes, it's often easy to forget we're not just fighting with sentences, but the people behind those sentences 😄
This very much go with the idea that everything is connected because if everything is then when you go back far enough there will be one source for all things. Everything is connected because it all came from the same place
Two things I heard once that fit this topic. "The treasure you are seeking is in the cave you are afraid to enter." And "you can't grow a tree to reach the heavens if the roots are too shallow to reach hell." You can't claim to have the best way if you only know the one way. How can you limit your perspective and claim to have clarity? Experience grants wisdom and knowledge. Not segregation. A limited person can never experience divine truths because they are not searching for them.
Ok, so this channel is great obviously, watched several hours of videos already - enlightening content for sure. But meeting not only a fellow magician and occultist, but also a synth enthusiast... Now that's a different level of connection.
I very much enjoy your videos, Denis! I am sure you know that whilst Vedic religion did develop into a more or less monotheistic faith, it did not start that way.
The driving force of creation is still unfolding in all it's glory. The core of all spirit and matter. It's busy keeping it all going. Everywhere and no where. I like option 3...

I'm not sure if this makes a much sense to read as it makes when I think it, but Thank you Foolish Fish.
Once again thank you. So often you speak about the issues which preoccupy my thoughts and despite my Kejawen path we do so in very similar ways. That we draw our line in different places is a personal choice and reflects our somewhat different paths, which I respect you for.
Well thought out and enlightening as always.
@@je-freenorman7787 That's an awfully imbalanced way to look at things. Masculine and feminine are two sides of the same coin. Neither meant to dominate the other, true enlightenment occurs when you recognize these two forces within yourself and bring them into balance with one another. Coexisting as one.
Your videos are always fantastic and I hope you have a great day 💙
Thank you Ry! Glad this resonates 😄🙏
Yup, the ALL & The One
Cheers!

As a musician, I've LOLed at #3
Another wonderful video.
Yeah, I was a pretty dumb kid XD
Didn't take me long to work out what was _really_ going on... ;P
@@FoolishFishBooks See, you should’ve bought a Casio. The only things I buy that are “Yamaha” are my A/V receivers. “Casio… the ONLY TRUE Keys to the Kingdom.”
@@scottmassino3051 XD Very good, I can really get behind a quality dad joke! :D
Your words and thoughts are easy to listen to and always leave room for further discourse. A pleasure, on a platform that is so often sadly full of carnival barkers.
I'm not surprised that we're on the same page here but I didn't expect your explanation be so entertaining :D
Hahaha! I definitely had fun making this one! I'm glad you had fun with it too, @Silkweaver :D
Lol right ?
Wonderfully put and explained. Great analogies too (and Acher’s too of course). Every now and then Mr. Fish comes up with some brilliant video like this: congratulations, pal! I couldn’t agree more! Light & peace!
So you believe that Hinduism and Islam prescribe to the same beliefs and are only different in the kinds of meat they eat?
@@moma8518 No, I said that's how it appeared to me as a child, based on how people lived their life when they were saying they were religious, that was the only difference to me. I already had a sense that we were all talking about the same thing anyway and there was no reason to fight
Great channel man. It takes a lot to bring truth to the ignorant
Glad I found your channel, and quite pleasantly surprised that you are so clear about the monotheistic aspect of early India - Parabhrahma, which most of the Indians keep buried deep in their subconscious while they fight over religion and castes 🙃😇 Thanks for all the info you share.
Yesterday I was again rethinking on this subject, I know wasnt a coincidence that your video came on my recommended, thank you for sharing this!
Hi!! Liked your video and as usual, had to say Love you !!!!!!!!! XD Yes i know you are married BUT your fan here
Glad you liked it, @Tronald! :D Best wishes to you!
I agree, our simplistic human understanding can not apprehend the source of it all.
I love the picture of the little boy looking carefully at the ground.
I was having a discussion regarding this topic last week and this video sums up everything beautifully. Bravo FF
Hi @silly banana! :D So glad you liked it! Thanks for the kind words and the support!
This whole segment should have been enter viewed by Clancy on The Midnight gospel
Holy shit I love the Jehovah's witness reference! Exjws! #represent
The longer I practice, the more this resonates 💜
Brilliant, brilliant video. Pure gold.
Thanks 👍☮️💞
My GOD is best 🍄
I agree, tho I have always wished someone would create a compendium of the various types of spirits and how they differ. For instance, if you ask an angel to help you get a job, vs asking a demon, does one manifest faster than the other? Is an angel more likely to give you a spiritually challenging job while a demon brings you excess and indulgence? What about things like Fae? or enochian angels vs hebrew angels?... there are so many different kinds of spirits and there is a lot of overlap in their abilities, but they all seem to have unique characteristics as well. I feel like id need to live to be over 100 years old to accomplish something like that.
Durga really helped me with this, all aspects as One. Also, I recognized the Paradise Earth pic instantly haha that's indoctrination for ya
🔥haha, love your show flow brooo, thanks for the shine, we love you 🔥
Once again, a really excellent presentation. The valve analogy is spot on for me. Thank you again 😊
Wow, I can't wait until I can share this! Thank you.
Ah! Great to know you liked it! Best wishes to you, @Amanda! 😄🙏🙏🙏
I absolutely resonated with this! Love this content please continue to make videos.
The comparison at the end is great!
Fish you never disappoint❤❤
Well put. I hope this paints a picture for those who don't yet fully understand.
I'm so glad you liked this! Yes, not always an easy one to explain!
I also came to esoteric alchemy through Christianity as well. 🙂 Feels good to be free of the dogmatic realm of things.
Woke
Oh! You've beautifully worded this description I've been wrestling with for like a year now lol
Thank you!
This was an excellent explanation! Thank you for doing this video. It is really helping.
😄🙏 thank you for your kind words!
One could read about bad things happening to others and learn from them but there would be something missing. Its like knowing everything about swimming but never have been in the water. No one gets out of here without getting kicked in the cranberries.
your channel has been great for me keep up the good work💪
Thanks for that shortcut! It would have taken me a few more years to reach perhaps some kind of conclusion and still not being able to expose it in such clear way...
Definitely choice number 3.
Thanks for the great video !
This explanation of religion makes more sense then I hv heard in all my life. It is like u articulated how I arrived @ the point in my life where I hv been for abt 7 yrs now. I will share ur video w/ others that I know feel the same as I do. Thnx so much.
Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad my model resonated for you!
wonderful, thoughtful with a good sprinkle of hilarity.... so much for people to think about.... thank you!
Ah! Thank you so much for watching, Josephine! High praise indeed!
@@FoolishFishBooks and well deserved!

Thank you for another AHa moment, much appreciated
My pleasure, Stephen! I'm so glad you've found the video useful! 😄
Love it! Thank you per usual My Brother!
Great video! Ps, the Indian views of gods are aspects is soo accurate.
Yeah... I can't comprehend it with the mind so might as well say that "I don't know".
But because of this freedom from ideology while growing up in Dutch protestant schools. Having an "Atheist" father but both parents believing in spirits and certain magicks (due to experiences). That always had me very open-minded, spiritual, curious and also scientifically minded
I saw Jesus as a super hero.
Hey Moni O
Thank you so much for your kind words!
I love how you explain this subject and with humor lol
Wondering if you can do a video on GOM books on which ones are your favorites
Blessings Dennis, lovely, lovely words.
Great topic ! Thanks for covering it brother .
Awesome work bro, love you
Ok, so this channel is great obviously, watched several hours of videos already - enlightening content for sure. But meeting not only a fellow magician and occultist, but also a synth enthusiast... Now that's a different level of connection.
🎹🤩⚡
Thank you. This actually makes sense of many questions that I have had. :)
I very much enjoy your videos, Denis! I am sure you know that whilst Vedic religion did develop into a more or less monotheistic faith, it did not start that way.
Frater Acher is great.
One of my favorite modern Adepts.
The driving force of creation is still unfolding in all it's glory. The core of all spirit and matter. It's busy keeping it all going. Everywhere and no where. I like option 3...
You got me at the synthesizers!
Before I watch this video I feel like I already agree by the title, I have found pieces of truth in every culture/religion and im happy because music allowed me to spread my awareness to other cultures growing up
So is there nothing wrong practicing practices from all across?
I certainly do!
@@FoolishFishBooks im glad! There's is so much to learn and practice from all over the world and I thing to remember is that this is our journey, some people will say something for practicing different beliefs but in the end the choices is ours and I jsut wanted to hear it from someone else because I find myself practicing so much from all over. Knoweldge is truly power and a power that could be used for the greater good 😁
VERY INTERESTING INTERPRETATION----THIS RESONATES
