09-28-2024 Video of Two Canadair CL-415 Super Scoopers & CH-47 Chinook Returning from Cindy Fire in Palmdale CA. They got called to fight the Cindy Fire but that I know of they got called back to the Van Nuys Airport.

Cause: Under Investigation
The Super Scoopers are at the Van Nuys Airport in preparation for the 2024 Fall Fire Season. These aircraft allow local fire authorities to quickly contain wildfires and respond with a greater mitigation potential. The turbo-prop Scoopers are able to skim across the surface of lakes or reservoirs and take in up to 1,600 gallons of water in only 12 seconds.
