Red flags!! If you both loved each other to get engaged …you would have gotten married after a couple years and made that “special day” happen with what resources you HAD!! Lots of people have their special wedding by being creative and learning how to save on extra costs. For example: wedding on a Sunday, keep the guest list lower, find family to make the bouquets and go thrifting for centerpieces. It ain’t that hard!!! Just long hours of love planning. She sounds like she’s truly unhappy and miserable and her overweight status is causing depression and the truth is she will never have that “special day” because there is no satisfying an individual like that. You could blast through tons of money to have a wonderful wedding and still it would NOT meet expectations because something is wrong inside. A wedding is Not a bandaid …oh no Get out sir!! Get help

That is absolutely mental. Glad you escaped that one brother. Imagine all the other things you could do with 25k instead of showing off to friends who don’t care
I had a friend who’s wife lost her job due to obesity and was able to get SS disability. He was obsess too and ended up dying of an enlarged heart which caused her to die two months later due to depression, etc. Both in their lower 50s and all brought on because they could not stopping eating too much and we as a society rewarded it with disability payments.
We all know obese ppl, even in the military, and I get on them to improve. Many cheap/free resources out there for Nutritionists (WIC programs) and fitness. Obese ppl are plain lazy.
People who eat themselves into obesity are mentally ill. They didn't die of eating, that's just a symptom of mental illness. We need to stop pretending over-eating is just a casual lifestyle choice and is okay to live that way. These people clearly need help like an alcoholic does. I know so many people who want to get healthy but they don't know how to get over their addiction.
Great comments by the Ramsey team, yes another thing to consider is that if this man doesn’t have the funds to pay for “her day,” he possibly doesn’t have enough money to be married and support her in the case of an emergency.
Yes well he said he can't even afford $800 for her health insurance. He sounds so nice and he's just desperately trying to put bandaids on the situation but never solving the real problem which is her weight. Maybe he's overweight too, just not as extreme.
An $800 a month increase is a huge jump…. If that happened to us, we couldn’t afford it either… even if we were fully out of debt. And we have no idea what kind of wedding this woman wants . A lot of women with the attitude she has want a $50,000 wedding or more expensive plus a honeymoon and a giant ring ….. So we are not sure if it’s the lack of income or the expense expected or both.
My husband and I were married at City Hall. That was 40 years ago. At this point a “big day” is just plain foolish. Cut your loses now. It’s the marriage that counts not the wedding.
The moment he said morbid obesity would be the same has someone saying a person is a gambler an alcoholic or a cheater. You run you dont get married. But it takes someone else with issues to put up with those kind of issues.
You are absolutely right about “takes someone with issues to put up with those issues.” I had a coworker with some significant mental health issues and other co-workers couldn’t figure out why she couldn’t “find a nice guy.” She dated alcoholics and other people with issues. It’s bc well off sane people don’t want to deal with that dumpster fire. People who also have issues can’t be too picky.
It’s also the fact that she’s being stupid about her “big day” when she needs to be focusing on her health instead. On top of the fact that she contributes nothing and he’ll have to be her caregiver on top of that if things don’t change.
If she is not working because of an actual health issue, and can not go back to any kind of work, then she should qualify for Medicaid. If she doesn't, she needs to find a job she can do
She hasn't married him, after seven years, because she doesn't want to. He hasn't given her the "big day" because he doesn't want to. They need to extricate themselves from this relationship.
“Health problem is she’s obese” I could see if she had like a brain tumor or cancer or something, but this can literally be fixed with diet and exercise.
If she's legit unable to work something's really wrong. There's probably another underlying issue going on that's causing this. Autoimmune and thyroid related diseases can screw up your system really bad, attack your organs, and zap you of your energy + put on a ton of weight and cause diabetes.
in my (somewhat limited) experience people that are more excited about having a wedding day than they are about getting married are more likely to be dissatisfied with how the day goes than people that are ust excited to be getting married at all.
It’s a joke!!! Problem is when you serve your country and sacrifice your mind body and spirit and come back to try and incorporate yourself back in society only for America to stab us in our backs. It’s pathetic joke on us!!
They changed property to “pursuit of happiness”…. Do you see the problem with that? How can you quantify “pursuit of happiness “ This woman wants a wedding and it will “make her happy “ for it to be as large and big as she desires. This is why changing that phrase has been detrimental to our society . Just because it makes you happy, doesn’t mean you have a right to it . The Bible does not back that up and obviously we see that our hurts can deceive us about what will make us “happy”… even healthy hearts can be deceived, and if you are mentally unstable and unhealthy, your “pursuit of happiness” is going to be very toxic to you and others.

She may want her "big day", hoping it will finally make her feel worthy, special. And, it will ... during the planning and choosing which cake, what colors and what kind of flowers. And it will ... during the ceremony and reception. The next day, she will be back to her normal life, unhappy, unhealthy and insecure.
Forget about setting a wedding date, that will need to come later, if at all. Counseling ... PRE-marital counseling is an absolute must.
@@BitterComments At least.
She has diabetes and morbid obesity to the point where she can’t work. But she wants a “her day” wedding she deserves? My husband is diabetic with severe issues and STILL works full time.
We can suggest that she got her diabetes for being obese - morbidly obese for many years.
To be obese and especially morbidly obese is a sure way to get it.
She going to need a stage curtain to roll down the isle in
That’s what I’m thinking too! I asked on another comment but I’ll ask here too, at what point does obesity constitute unemployment?? I don’t get it.

Salute for unnecessarily complicating his life by tying himself to this woman. Wahala

Rachel’s face when the caller said “morbid obesity” 😂
I didn’t see any change in her expression. (?)
she always has that look lol
Yea,it changed for like a split second.
It wasnt just that he said shes fat AND refusing to work like wtf lmao and the they way she said "do you all have kids?" She seemed so relieved when he said no
Rachel's facial expressions really make these episodes great. Lol
That's true haha
Priceless!

Agreed she is made for this stuff.
I came here for great advice from Dave and Racheal…..I stayed for the comment section 💀
They did not give great advice. Dave got a little better. But his daughter is no friend to this guy. The proper advice is to run. And block her phone, email, social media.
He doesn't need to go to marriage counseling, he needs PRE-marital counseling.
Um... no. He needs to run away from her, then get into some intense therapy so he can understand why he values himself so little that he'd even consider chaining himself to a woman who's literally eating herself to death.
@@OscarSchneegans do you even understand the point of pre-marital counseling? I literally just said that.
@@COINsimp2024 Do YOU understand the point of premarital counseling? This is from Better Help's website.
"premarital counseling can help you and your partner address issues that married couples commonly struggle with."
That's not what this guy needs. He doesn't need a partner at all until he figures out why he chose to inflict this woman on himself.
@@OscarSchneegans The point is many decide in pre-marital counseling not to get married. This is what I'm saying.
What he NEEDS is his own apartment and a new, HEALTHY relationship.
Girls who REQUIRE these expensive "special" days are immature and focused on the attention and not the marriage.
A wedding is Not a bandaid …oh no
Get out sir!! Get help
So many red flags....
We'd be in martial counseling be cause I can't give her the day "she deserves"
O lordy...
For sure if you’re motivated enough.
I couldn't help but wonder whether a "plus sized" dress is at the center of this, since she knows she can't adhere to conventional beauty standards re: dress size/ slimness due to her... situation

Yeah. Rachel is full of it. I saw this clip on Rich Cooper. Ent in cars. Cooper is a bit too much on the red pill but he was right on this one.
Tired of these Women that want their day. Funny how they will not be traditional, but want the traditional wedding.
My X GF told me she wanted a 25k wedding ring, needless to say she's my X GF...
25K for a ring? My whole wedding cost less than 20K.
You did the right thing! She wanted a 25k ring and would divorce you 10 years later claiming irreconcilable differences and took half your sh*t!!
That is absolutely mental. Glad you escaped that one brother. Imagine all the other things you could do with 25k instead of showing off to friends who don’t care
Dumb. Spend 5k on a ring and use 20k for a car or something else.
So happy to hear you dodged that bullet brother.
4:08 😂😂 "i mean, if she's the one, henry" translation "uhh, you might want to leave her"

😂😂

She deserves an expensive wedding like she deserves to eat whatever she wants...
Sound like a nightmare for this guy.
This woman wants a wedding not a marriage.
Neither of these two should be getting married to anyone.
BINGO!
In the end was it more cost effective to pay the disability for a short life or pay for a long healthy life on social security?
We all know obese ppl, even in the military, and I get on them to improve. Many cheap/free resources out there for Nutritionists (WIC programs) and fitness. Obese ppl are plain lazy.
@@joyaustin6581 WHAT???
I started laughing so hard when he said the health condition😂
I said "Run for the hills!!!"
TO HENRY - lots of love from Scotland -but seriously - RUN BROTHER BE FREE!
Right!!!! Lol sad but that's my honest opinion too! Not worth the rest of your life brother! Run!
Wake up, Henry! You're 34 and still have time to find a better partner.
She wears the pants, yet she is the one not contributing at all. Life will be miserable if you have no say.
I don't think she can fit in the pants
Crazy to get bossed around by someone who's totally given up to the point she can't even work.
And those are very large pants.
He says he is in a big mess. Your girlfriend is the reason for the mess. If she doesn't like Dave's plan, move on.
My dude... find someone who isn't still a child.
Do not marry her. There are too many emergencies. This is trauma bonding at it's finest.
Dave flipped that real quick!
"I mean... If she's the one Henry... " 🤣🤣🤣
That got me...😆
That was good 🤣
The moment he said morbid obesity would be the same has someone saying a person is a gambler an alcoholic or a cheater. You run you dont get married. But it takes someone else with issues to put up with those kind of issues.
the moment he said that. You could tell Dave thinks her sickness is laziness
@@l.v.6384 Gluttony and Sloth are among the seven deadly sins for a reason...
It's possible he is too. Justifies her weight that way. In his mind perhaps.
4:07 Rachel’s “if she’s the one then… 🤷🏻♀️”
Sounds like she’s thinking what we’re all thinking
If she is morbidly obese she can fix that and her diabetes would go away. Their situation is much deeper than finances
If she is not working because of an actual health issue, and can not go back to any kind of work, then she should qualify for Medicaid. If she doesn't, she needs to find a job she can do
I was listening to this on audio only but had to rewind to see Dave and Rachel's reactions to the beginning. 😂😂😂
"Morbid obesity" led Dave Ramsey to scratch his head. He went from "get married today" to get a "marriage counselor". 😂
So much wrong with this call, I don't even know where to start. Young men... do not be this guy.
She hasn't married him, after seven years, because she doesn't want to. He hasn't given her the "big day" because he doesn't want to. They need to extricate themselves from this relationship.
This.

Most ungrateful modern women will never have their day. Don't get married. Live your life man, and stay away from debt.
Far too many women today want a wedding NOT a marriage. There's a big difference.
It's the Disney effect. It just keeps getting worse since Cinderella infected little girls' brains, haha!
“Health problem is she’s obese”
I could see if she had like a brain tumor or cancer or something, but this can literally be fixed with diet and exercise.
Sounds like this.one.migh t require bariatric surgery.
And counseling.
If she's legit unable to work something's really wrong. There's probably another underlying issue going on that's causing this. Autoimmune and thyroid related diseases can screw up your system really bad, attack your organs, and zap you of your energy + put on a ton of weight and cause diabetes.
Diabetes can't be, but the morbid obesity can
@@owlblocksdavid4955 diabetes can actually be reversed with diet and exercise. My dad did it.
Rachel at 0:40 mark, immediately knew where this call was headed
My guy, she ate her way out of her job and wants her special day. You don't want that future.
It hurts me to agree with this, but agree I do
lol Dave scratching his head 🤣😅
"Diabetes and morbid obesity." I guess her big day is gonna be a REALLY BIG DAY. If she lives that long.
She doesn't want a man, she wants a wallet.
Morbid obesity is not a health condition, its compounded interest on very poor food choices
I disagree. The poor food choices and needs are symptoms of something much deeper.
in my (somewhat limited) experience people that are more excited about having a wedding day than they are about getting married are more likely to be dissatisfied with how the day goes than people that are ust excited to be getting married at all.
People don't "deserve" anything, but life liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness. People EARN it.
It’s a joke!!! Problem is when you serve your country and sacrifice your mind body and spirit and come back to try and incorporate yourself back in society only for America to stab us in our backs. It’s pathetic joke on us!!
Pretty hard to pursue anything when you're morbidly obese.
They changed property to “pursuit of happiness”….
Do you see the problem with that?
How can you quantify “pursuit of happiness “
This woman wants a wedding and it will “make her happy “ for it to be as large and big as she desires.
@@Jaxmusicgal23 pursute does not equal getting. you need to get a dictionary. if thats what your saying people need to be taught something besides self loathing in schools.
