I love it, so clever. Never thought of this. On a sort of related note i have a tent i researched with a Brompton in mind. It's a Decathlon mt900 2 person tent. What makes it Brompton specific is the shorter than usual pack length fits perfectly in a T Bag, and it has 2 vestibules, one for my access in and out, and the other to hide the Brompton away 👍
I've got a longer tarp and a Burley Travoy trailer. I have been thinking about this and it looks OK. The Travoy trailer doubles as a seat when you take the wheels off. I do like a comfy seat when I'm camping.
As to stability for the folded Brompton, I’d seen another video when the guy used paracord / bungee wrapped once around the main frame and guyed out either side of the frame.
Hello Paul, That looks like it will work well, I am looking forward to hearing how it works in a real overnight test. See you on the next one. Take care. Paul,,
Hi Paul, I recently bought a second hand Brompton and I am now watching all your vids. Is there actually one where you discuss the butterfly bars on your Brompton ? Greetings from Flanders.
Hi, thanks so much for watching and subscribing! In the ‘why I love my Brompton’ video I do discuss them but these are the P bars which came with the P6r - sadly they don’t make them anymore 😭
Great video. I’ve used a tarp for walking long distance paths but never thought of using the Brompton. I’d just suggest a small ground sheet - still a lot lighter than a tent….
Good suggestion. When I walk I use a survival bag that I would have on me anyway as the ground sheet 👍 so I will be sure to take that when I go with my Brompton. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙌 Happy Cycling
Excellent use of the seat post as a tentpole! Heres how I stop my Brompton from falling over in a similar setup 🙏🏽 ruclips.net/video/fUforoznqug/видео.html&ab_channel=Bokooda
Looks like you’ve covered that video well, whole new meaning to take a seat.
Haha thank you for watching!
Excellent, I have to try this. Having a telescopic seat post, I suppose I could get a higher ceiling.
Yes you should! Good luck - let us know how you get on 👍
Good job !!! Keeps the Brompton safe and secure too !!!
True and you could easily fit another folded Brompton in there if their are two of you!
An ingenious set-up. Thanks.
Glad you like it! And thanks for watching :-)

Sounds good! A comfy seat is always a bonus 👍

I’ve seen this video and a good idea however as we have a rack we didn’t need it as it was stable enough 👍

Paul,,
Thanks Paul. Currently in the planning stages for where to try it but thinking Dartmoor 👍
Looks a great setup. Also like how part folding keeps the oily chain away from your kit. Look forward to the real world test
Thanks for watching and commenting and yes I’m looking forward to it too! Lots of planning at the moment 👍
I have been eagerly anticipating your video. Thanks!!🎉
Ah great to hear. Hope you enjoy! 🙌
Thanks! Great idea that I will use for sure
Good to hear 👍 thanks for watching

Would love to use a tarp but have a pathological fear and hatred of wasps 😬
