I do like how Smallville had little nods to the Superman canon we all think of, like how Lois first talked to "The Blur" via a phone booth, and like here where he changed clothes in another phone booth.

Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder are iconic. But for me it's Tom Welling and Erica Durance. Best Lois and Clark, best love story ever.
The one in Lois and Clark is the most believable I think.
I actually felt the weight and pressure of how much this job demands from anyone on a daily basis.
I feel like Smallville was also believable as well just the pure nervous energy of his first day
@@michealmahmoud6391 I think Smallville goes over the top. It's overly reliant on 'Metor Freeks of the Week' for it's plot points. There is an over abundance of Kryptonite, in too many forms, Solid, Liquid, Gaseous. Kryptonite affects Clark, ok sure. However, on Smallville, it effects everyone else too. Some people have done some good with it, but most just end up going psychotic, as a result.
How many lives were destroyed by the Metor shower, and continued to be destroyed in the decades that followed?
In other words; Smallville was a better happier place, BEFORE baby Kal-El aka Clark Kent came to town.
This is NOT what Superman is supposed to be about.
@@fredaf3700 I agree entirely. Too much Kryptonite... too much confusion caused by the AI Jor-el who seems nearly Kal-el's enemy at times.
I still can't believe on Smallville, Clark and Lois both started working at the Daily Planet before Perry White and Jimmy Olsen(Henry Olsen's little brother)came and before Clark became Superman.
We had some nice looking Clark Kent/Supermen over the years.

In my mind Man of Steel has always Two outcomes. One is DCEU/Snyderverse as we know it. The other is he is secretly Chris Reeve's Superman from Superman II and IV Quest for Piece and accidentally erased Lois' memories, but he doesn't know about it (yet) because he didn't spend 10 years withing FoS training and learning all this intergalactic knowledge. For him it is constant pushing limits and figuring it out on his own, like how humans can figure out that they have power to hold their entire bodyweight on two or even one finger of their hand, or draw life-like paintings or solve "impossible" problems using pen and paper and abstract thinking based solely on their own imagination , things that they saw in real life and "truths" that other people told them before.
Of course DCEU one also can have go That Routh (😉) too eventually, he just didn't use that power back then, etc etc etc
I will always have a very special place in my heart for the Christopher Reeve Superman. I have grown to really love the Lois and Clark version of the Legend of Superman, they struck the right balance and told some great stories especially in the first 2 seasons. They were actually closest to the comic books I read as a girl. Superman wasn't supposed to be depressing nor dark, the comedy elements seem to me to be very suitable. My third favorite is Superman Returns.. Its just a good story well told. It doesn't mesh perfectly with Reeve's first two movies, but it carries on the story.
I liked Dean Cain as both Clark Kent and Superman. I know he’s far from Christopher Reeve, but he brought his own style to the character, and it’s nice that the series showed more than just him being Superman.
And now I can’t look at this version of Perry without thinking about that clerk who got shot at the Sac O Suds

That guy playing Perry White from Lois and Clark is also the guy who played the police detective in "Bad News Bears in Breaking Training" back in 1977. How is THAT for an obscure reference??? I actually just saw that movie with my daughter last week and it brought back memories!

One thing I liked about Man of Steel was Lois already knew Clark was also Superman. Clark didn't have to project 2 personas in towards her. Which also helped Lois and Clark TNAoS mostly.

Only the one from the first season.
This was the reason he got fired from the set after season 1 unfortunately. The official reason was that he looked too much like Clark.

Of course, his successor Justin Whalin, did play a superhero in the movie _SuperCapers,_ the only movie in film history to have a chili recipe in its closing credits.
@@MaskedMan66 The new producers who came in for S2 claimed that Michael Landis (S1 Jimmy) looked too similar to Dean Cain, and that he came off more as Clark’s little brother than his coworker. Bizarre logic, I’ve never understood it.
(I think part of it was also that they felt Jimmy was too close in age to the rest of the cast. Justin Whalen feels much more like “the kid” of the cast, whereas Landes feels like a peer.)

Dean Cain was the only one who managed to look like two different people somewhat with CK and SM. I think it was because he had quite unique eyebrows and the style of glasses he wore covered them.
You might've included George Reeves' scene of walking on the building's ledge in order to sneak into Perry's office.

How is Clark commonly portrayed in the comics?
Reeve's spineless dork always felt the most fitting. Realism aside, the fact that he's SO pathetic that the idea of him being Supe is laughable always felt like the most unique and entertaining form of disguise. Not tryina be dealing with chad Kent.
