    I tried it in a martini and a lemon version of a gimlet. It is, hands down, the best martini gin I've ever tasted. It's so soft; it's like drinking mountain river water. It's so soft snd citrusy. Then the alcohol content hits you after you've been fooled into thinking you've been drinking citrusy river water. Exceptional gin.

    I'm curious: Why are your first tastings of gins mixed with tonic water?

    This is a bit odd. I don't like Hendricks regular gin but I do like most of the limited edition ones. I like this one so much that I bought 2 bottles to keep me going when it disappears from the shelves.
    And just an observation but it's funny to see you moaning about cucumber when we've all seen you drinking gins made out of insects and elephant shit.....

    I love regular Hendrick's in dry martinis (I don't use it for much else) Lunar, I will put with more sweeter cocktails. I am going to try this one and see what I can come up with.

    Good review Bobby! I love Hendrick's, and this version is actually very good as well in my opinion. I think it makes a great Martini. Oh well, guess we all have different preferences. Cheers!

      It makes for the best martini I've ever tasted. I still can't believe how smooth it is. The gin and the vermouth complement each other as perfectly as a pass between Pele and Garrincha.

    I have to shoot a question - what's the most Juniper-y gin you've ever had? I've recently tried the regular Tanqueray and really loved it because it's pretty much straight Juniper juice. Some funny people call this taste "Pine-y", but it's the Juniper and literally what makes it a gin.

    • @christinecamley
      @christinecamley Год назад

      Tanqueray is a fabulous juniper forward gin! Love it!

    • @iainrobb2076
      @iainrobb2076 Год назад +1

      I think Beefeater is more junipery than Tanqueray, but out of the two I prefer Tanqueray. An absolute classic martini gin.

    • @christinecamley
      @christinecamley Год назад +1

      @@iainrobb2076 I love both as well but for a great gin cocktail I love Tanqueray! I am a huge Juniper fan! I haven't had Beefeater a lot but will try it in some more drinks as I do love the Juniper. I agree that Tanqueray makes such fabulous cocktails!

    • @iainrobb2076

      @@christinecamley Tanqueray is wonderful. A tanquaray martini is like drinking a juniper ice cube. I actually have drank the Hendkrics in a lemon juice version of a gimlet. It was so smooth. It was beautiful.

    Saw this gin on the supermarket shelf today and was sure Bobby would have something to say about it. I love how this is the go to place for gin reviews. Don`t agree with everything as I quite enjoy a basic Bombay Saphire but the insight is very welcomed.

    I am a Tanqueray and Beefeater kinda guy. I have never really been a Hendricks fan. But this is my new favorite and I imagine I will fork over the cash for this on a regular basis.

    But i agree that you should say what botanical you put in . Instead of just saying seaside.
    I just got the original and the Luna gin for my 30 birthday. But I might look after that or maybe skip it
