    What do you reckon? Not a bad first attempt at a garden climbing frame?

      I like the ryobi 18v+1 tools, there not industrial quality, but good handyman tools at a good price, with a great range of tools.

    Gherkins? Little cucumbers! At least until you pickle them! I used to grow a lot of them. Funny thing, they would get a few inches tall and some morning you would walk out to the garden and deer had come in during the night and chewed the leaves off and I would have rows of little stripped stems BUT, they are resilient and would bounce back. Later in the season, rodents would sneak out of the field and gnaw at them. One day, it looked like they were trying to make a little dugout canoe of one as one side, almost perfectly half way, had been eaten! Cheers

      Haha how funny, yeh ours seem to be growing like weeds, seem pretty hardy to the change in temperature at the moment too. Long live the little cucumber!

    For use around the house I’ve found that the cheap tools work well for me, but that depends on how much you intend to use the tools.

      That’s a really good point John, I would be using them a little bit but not for work or anything so you are probably right, there is a sweet spot for the price and how much I will use them 👍

    Dang! Nice HUGE bulk water storage bin! I wish I had something that large to capture rainwater in! How much does it hold?
    This is so funny, your cucumber experiences mirror my own. I grew them for about the first 18 years at my house. It is crazy how many you can grow. I'd go out one morning bring in 15 or 16 and think I got them all. The next day I'd find another dozen or so! It was fun but maddening! It would go like that day after day. Fortunately, my next door neighbor loves them and would eat them just straight from the garden.

      Yeh it’s amazing how fast they grow, you think you pick them all and then look at the plant from a slightly different angle and see a whole lot more! That tank is awesome aye, it’s 25,000 litres (about 6600 gal) the kids want me to build a waterslide next to the tank and I’m pretty tempted haha

      @@AdventuresWithRosy You hit the nail right on the head with 'a different angle'- I know that EXACT feeling! 6600 gal!!! I just have about 4 barrels that hold 55 gallons and I bought two of these things they call 'totes' that hold 275 gal. but I might not be able to use them because of what they were previously used for ( a food grade silicone) I've got an idea to try to clean then out. Cheers

    We have ryobi one plus, and have multiple batteries, and there are about 100 tools available to buy which all use the same batteries. Good quality for home use, and not to expensive.

      Oh awesome thanks Nichola! Few people have mentioned the Ryobi and it looks pretty affordable 👍

    Yum, love gherkins, nice project your vege garden and future ideas.
    We love the Ryobi One+
    Got a 12v charger for the caravan and their stick vac in my opinion is better than a $500 Dyson. Also have the air inflater which is also great and lots of power tools and garden tools.

      Oh I was just looking at the Riobi One range, looks pretty decent!

    Choose a brand and stick with it, I personally find the Ryobi one + range is ideal for general home handyman use and has a good range of tools, attachments and accessories. Also some handy camping style stuff like lanterns, vacuum cleaner, USB power points, compressor etc. I use the small skill saw, drill and impact driver heaps. A reciprocating saw with pruning blade is also very versatile.
    If you want to invest a bit more, go Makita or De Walt.

      Been a few votes for De Walt in the chat 👍 I like the look of the Ryobi too. You are 100% right though, need to figure out a brand and stick to it to make the most of the batteries etc!

    Go for the Stanley Fatmax skilly (ahem, circular saw) at Bunnings - best value and 3yr wty. Not so sure about wanting to hang your pickle over people's heads, but you do you :)

      @AdventuresWithRosy  6 месяцев назад

      😂😂😂 I’ve got a fatmax drill (my only power tool) and it’s decent! You reckon Stanley over Dewalt?

    You’re getting green thumbs, well done. Interested in the shade blinds in your outside area, do you know who made them?

    • @AdventuresWithRosy
      @AdventuresWithRosy  6 месяцев назад +1

      The are neat shade blinds aye! One of the reasons we liked the house. We can close the whole deck off in the rain or wind and it’s great. Not sure who made them sorry, I just had a look and there are no stickers or anything on the blinds! Sorry 😞
