Hey. Great Video! I'm looking into backpacking myself and stumbled across this video. I liked your narration a lot. One piece of advice from one photographer/videographer to another, when filming soothing adventurous videos like this, you obviously don't have much to film except the view and yourself, but keep in mind, when filming filler shots, make sure that the camera is still. One example of a good camera shot is at 4:06. It focuses not only on the terrain and your surroundings but you as well, plus its a still camera shot. Another thing to keep in mind (you didn't do this, just keep it in mind), is don't take too many shots and then try to use them all. It can get quite nauseating when there is so much going on, all at once. Once again, Great Video! You're living the dream and it's really nice that you're documenting it. Keep it up

If its anything you care about if not just disregard, for long hikes and trips pull the straps by your neck to bring the pack closer to your body to make it one with you. Like i mentioned, short trips it doesnt matter, for long trips it does make a difference, plus i think it looks silly when i dont have the pack pulled in. Glad to see another video, I was van lifing for 2 years in my astro in Montana, Im in the army for 2 more years cant wait to leave and go back to adventuring, 890 Days left 😅, coutning down the days. Maybe we can hangout one day.
Hey thank you for the tips, I was honestly unsure of the correct way to strap up and I did what was semi comfortable and figured I’d work into the correct method. This certainly helps a ton That’s awesome you lived in an Astro! Were the winters cold up in Montana while in the van???

I actually just recently bought my own 2013 Chevy express and am finishing up converting it into my first camper! I love watching your stuff because I feel oddly related because I am also from Utah (Saint George) born and raised to the very ripe age of 19 where I am now. I think it would be awesome if we ended up doing something together! Keep up what you're doing and stay jazzy!

Man a Chevy express is an awesome camper, I wanted to do an express but didn’t want to spend the money on it lol, plus i wanted the AWD. Ive been realizing more and more that when I have quick thoughts of adventurous spurts, I need to take them and run! I think it’s what keeps people young for longer than others, having fun and letting the adventurous spirit take hold! I remember when I was young I always wanted to travel light and I get it. However, my only advice, no matter how short the hike, pocket knife and a Bic lighter. You never know and these two items will get you out of a lot of jams. Have fun my friend!

Hey Buddy, feeling free is important, lol . Nice backpack but if you use an external frame pack you can carry more weight. An internal frame pack contours to you spine along our center of gravity and is more comfortable in general and gives you more freedom of movement, I backpacked through Death Valley for about a week in the Spring but carried mostly water and some granola bars. I later came across an old miner's cabin with a wood stove and found some wood to start a campfire that night and roasted some hotdogs. And yeah, in the day I hiked up to a cave and found some old dynamite and quickly got out of there. Oh yes, get a Garmin Vehicle Dashcam for Fred that connects to the cell towers so you can monitor your vehicle with an app on your phone to see if anyone tries to break into your vehicle. And as always excellent video and narration💫
Ooooooo I really like the sounds of a cabin and mines, that sounds like a load of fun dude! Plus a week of backpacking! That’s going to have to be on my bucket list at some point soon. 👍

There were people leaving further up the canyon while I arrived at the springs. It freaked me out bad at first 😂 then I had it to myself before long
