I have been playing FPS games for 12 years with MK, I have competed on R6 and CSGO at ESL levels. I've played every existing FPS game, all the battlefields, all the CODs etc... I come to this new COD after paying 100 euros, and find myself not even having a reaction time, because you get destroyed by the people who use the Pads. I can't find an explanation to this honest thing, even the fact that I can't remove crossplay from PC is bullshit. For the moment I have decided to abandon this game completely, it's too weird in everything.
100% Having the option to remove crossplay would make it a more enjoyable experience. Can remember a time where it felt like we had the advantage, not anymore.
the crossplay 0ption was given upon first install of the game. It's funny i enjoy destroying console players on mouse and keyboard especially on shipment type maps.

Dude same, went from 2.03 kd in wz2 to now having 1.5 on wz3. I will say though…the aim assist in this game is mind boggling. I decided to try it out less than 48 hours ago and went from 5-10 kill games to 15-20 kill games in plunder and lockdown just as a proving ground of sorts. I use these game modes to test loadies and see how viable they are when dealing with hectic and full team fights since you get those a lot more often. Here I am on day two of controller getting more kills on an input I haven’t used IN OVER 5 YEARS….it shouldn’t be that way at all….controller is a genuine hack in this game, it’s busted beyond belief. I get aim assist through thin walls and barriers, I get aim assist as people run around corners if I’m chasing them, it’s wild dude. Kbm needs a buff, and controller needs a nerf asap.

It's practically a soft aimbot. When all you have to do is strafe in a gun fight and not even move your right stick to stay on target is absurd. It's insanely sticky. Shouldn't be that way
yeah exactly, mw3 has gotta be the only shooter game out there where you're actually at a DISADVANTAGE if you play kb&m, not the other way around. because in apex i absolutely beam kids close and long range but mw3 its like im trying out mouse aiming for the very first time again. oh but when i plugged in my old dusty ps4 controller from 2013 my aim got 1000 times better. you literally do not have to track people with controller because as long as you're moving, the game will track for you. went 50-9 my first game on controller in over 5 years. it is that easy as people say it is to aim on a controller

However, in the current state of the game, if you put two equally skilled players against each other-one using a controller and the other a mouse-the controller player will almost certainly win, and this holds true at every skill level. I don't want an aim assist nerf-that would be lazy and unfair to the players who rely on it. It’s dialed in just right, so don’t mess with what’s not broken. But anyone who’s being real knows it’s not a fair fight for mouse players right now, so let’s fix that without punishing the controller crowd.
Weapon sway in real life is fine, because you have the Gun in both hands, so you can feel what direction your barrel is compared to the butt of the gun. There is no feedback for this when playing a game, so it should bever be in the game. Devs probably thought it looks cool. But all it does is give M&K players a tripple disadvantage, (aim assist, rotational aim assist on controllers, and now weapon sway, that nerfs your aim, that they can't even feel.)
Good point about holding the gun irl feeling completely different. It even would work in a VR shooter but not a regular flat screen game like Call of Duty. Hoping sledgehammer will do something about this.
i think what they are trying to do (but failing spectacularly at it) is trying to bridge the gap between the two inputs, making them both more evenly balanced between each other. but i think it goes to show that their method of doing this is overtuning tf out of the aim assist to 1000. because i think activision and a lot of (mostly controller players) have the perceived notion that kb&m players by default have this godly aim or something. so the only way to counter this is making controller have godly aim too. but the fact is a lot of kb&m players actually kinda do suck at aiming. its only like the very best top 10% of kb&m players who just have this unattainable, godly aim. so now you have this problem where very average and even bad controller players have the aiming skills of some top level kb&m players with little to sometimes even no input, and are being put against average kb&m players. and with how fast the new cod's movement is, its damn near impossible to consistently track someone. the human brain just isnt that fast enough when it comes to response time.
@@skullboi642 ! off COD has been out since the 2000's... they should have the experience. Balancing would be easy for me if I were them. I would make rotational aim assist in line with average human aim, and make aim assist in line with MnK players. If the top MnK player is at 60% accuracy and you see the top controller player at 70% accuracy... you know what you have to do... nerf the controllers a tad to make them in line with the top MnK player. If the the controller player is 10% less accurate vs the MnK player then buff the aim assist.
There’s something weird with mouse aim going on. It’s very random at times. When it works I can control and wreck people at distance but when it alters I can’t hit anyone it’s like my settings/dpi change completely
what i have noticed a lot of people doing (including me) is going to the cod config file (many tutorials online about it), going to max yaw speed and max pitch speed, and then setting the product of this formula, (0.022 x mouse sensitivity) x 1000, to the number in quotation marks, make sure use raw mouse input is set to true, and then save and you should be good to go! The reason it feels this way is because if this setting is incorrect, mouse acceleration happens and becomes more severe the further away the incorrect setting is from the correct setting.
@@TheEliteLotus I found out about this a couple weeks ago&it's a world of difference &it's shady as fuck if you ask me, that they _conveniently_ left a setting in a config file that gives mouse acceleration/deceleration (depending on whether your sens is above or below 6.36 I think it was)&fucks over KB&M when we're already at a disadvantage aim-wise
I actually do believe that there's an input delay more on Mouse and keyboard than controller. Me and my friend were testing it, we both run to a certain point at the same time, same gun, and aim and shoot, and he got me first 9/10
This is my theory as well. I choked it up to the console networks having priority over the windows side of things. The games first routed through console networks and ends serverside on windows. This is evident in killcam sync where they dont always match.
Im glad zombies is a thing, while I consider myself a good kbm player on multiplayer I have noticed that issue specifically on iron sights where its never centered if you move side to side
I find it crazy that truly nobody, or if anything, just a few people understand, that this is all an INTENTIONAL gameplay / design decision by activision. The reason why they made controller OP in MW22 was, because they wanted to make more sales. More and more people stopped playing WZ1 on PS4 because of the KBM/Pc sweats. Consoles are, have been, and will always be, the most common game device platform for Call of Duty. And by giving controller players the clear advantage over KBM players, you basically create a way bigger player bubble. The more people play controller, the bigger the bubble of CoD players, the bigger the bubble of CoD players, the more Battle Passes, Bundles, etc. will be bought. That's as simple as it gets. Now, why exactly are we KBM players at a disadvantage: - Controller's atrociously overpowered auto rotational AA -> It helps mitigate recoil and idle sway, because it directly works against these variables -> It practically moves the crosshair perfectly along the center of the enemies hitbox (Compare any AA pro with a KBM player like Dfalt f.e.) -> It counters visual recoil, because it moves without the player giving much of an input - Crosshair/Reticle movement/deviation - Screenshake & Visual noise - Horizontal recoil $ insane reticle bounce - Horrible ironsights as opposed to MW19 - Horrible Hitreg/Server connection - SBMM/EOMM - APM (I have no proof of it's existence) -> What is Active Performance Minupaltion (APM)? -: From what I have experienced, it is an algorithm, that, depending on your in-game performance, actively manipulates the outcome of gunfights with enemies by: - Adjusting the amount of damage a weapon deals - Adjusting the likelihood of a bullet hitting - Adjusting the size of the enemy's hitbox Now what could possibly be done about this problem? Well, the most simple solution would be to get rid of all these unnecessary gameplay decisions!! However, this will most likely not happen. Another solution would be to give us (PC players) the option to either: Turn crossplay off, or: Allow matchmaking only with the same input device. We all know that SBMM will not be removed, they have been really quiet about it and are practically trying to make us accept it until we eventually won't mind it. You can expect the same reaction about this whole problem. Why? Because Activision is a greedy fucking company, if you ever thought they would care about their players, then I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist, because you are dangerously naive. I am 54 years old and play COD from the 1st. hour away. When we were still playing among ourselves on the PC, none of this was a problem. It depended on how good the internet connection was and how much money you invested in your gaming computer. And of course his skills! Since crossplay came into being, nothing has been the same. The fact is that an M&K player has no chance against someone who can only handle a controller to some extent. The aim assist allows the first 3-4 shots on controllers to stick to the opponent like a magnet and the recoil of the weapon only takes effect afterwards. I'm pretty sure that nobody looks like it does "Ekwah" and other streamers. These people are favored and supported by the developers in every possible way because their videos are the best advertisement for their game. I don't have to be as good as those streamers who spend 8 hours a day getting shot so they can record a good video. I just want to play for fun and have control over my input. I paid for that. No matter how many old maps they incorporate into new games, it will never feel as good as in the good old days.😢
This is exactly why I`m against this even though we HC gamers dont care about aim-assist, The regular gamer will struggle against it. KnM is not easy to master it took me years to be this good. Grown ups dont got time for that, Crossplay should never have happened this is ruining the gaming experience of the gamers who just want to have fun.They cant have fun anymore, They have to fight for their life every fight. 100% I just want to play for fun as I love jumping on for an hour or two to wind down, when I can. Wish we had the option of turning off crossplay. I'm almost 52, so I hear you. The disadvantage KM has, makes us work just that much harder to be even remotely competitive, actually needing to be more skilled, just to have a fighting chance.. Then there's the SBMM crap, where it feels like they have already locked onto you, before you've aimed them in your sites at times, sometimes you get a dead center hit and tap the LM button so your bullets don't stray too far off center, but then you have moments where the rate of fire is so off and no where near as quick as it should be, and you feel you've emptied half a mag into them and they get you on the 1st or 2nd shot.. I've never tried to fine tune and learn the spray pattern of particular weapons, as much as I've had to in this release, just to have some chance in a MP match. Have found a gem or two in doing so though. 2 AR's that I use to pick off snipers, as I suck at sniping, myself! LOL.

buddy, you weren't playing warzones. It's unplayable, sniper rifles are flying from left to right and you have to be mounted to get accurate shots. Smg with iron sight is unplayable too, you just shoot and you can't see half the player. There's no skill. Oh, you got aim? Never mind the guy who doesn't and only has an aimasist will shoot you because halfway through the fight you stop seeing him and even if you started shooting and gave him a head shot he'll cut you in the legs. The servers are so totally off it'll show you that you creckunl him, but the dude turns around and has fullshields because the registers fucked it up. They took away all the skill snips like Kar,SPR,etc.They left a snip that's like HDR that only 50 year old guys camping in a barracks can play with and it doesn't give the savages a warning for AFK because they're in a barracks all game and they have more mines than players on the map. The ironic thing is keyboard and mouse were never at an advantage in the first place, its always been controller over keyboard and mouse so why the need to put keyboard and mouse players at an even further disadvantage when they were never dominant in the first place! Aim assist is strong yes but I will categorically state that if you are genuinely good enough on KBM, aim assist being overpowered is irrelevant. A top KBM player who has put years of practice into being really good on keyboard and mouse will be able to compete, this sway stuff, random recoil patterns, aim sway while sliding, jumping or dropshotting however will considerably hinder a keyboard and mouse players performance against controller players.
Disadvantage? Thats not true saying we cant move like a controller is a lie I can easily do the same on PC. What are you talking about dropshots and slide-cancelling are easy on PC. Its impossible for a controller player to flick like me unless they are a pro at an insane sense, Do you know how fast our flicks are dude? Controllers cant do that. They just cant turn around like me they always lose if they have to turn fast. Aim-assist is needed for controller whether you like it or not yes its easier to learn controller but we both have our advantages man. Idle sway is our problem this dude hasnt even notice this is the problem. PC players must use stocks on all weapons or you will get insane idle sway, After using stocks I`m dominating almost every game in MP you better try it if you use KnM. Its a huge difference you can actually be accurate with stocks, You lose an attachment but who cares. Recoil is easy to control with abit of practice on KnM you dont need the underbarrel with a stock, Idle sway dissappears just try it you`re gonna love it. My jaw went to the floor when I noticed the difference, Its amazing to play now it feels great
@@toprap88I saw several videos saying aim idle sway didn't change the randomness of the sway when snapping and counter strafing. It's an engine thing and not a design for attachment viability. I haven't tried because the game is trash, but I'll give it a shot when my console simp friends force me.
I’ve with played both. I’m definitely used to my controller , but it’s not JUST MnK that has this issue. I play with full sensitivity with controller and have for years now. This does exist on controller and makes it incredibly difficult to compensate for the movement back and forth. However the effect is definitely exaggerated more on MnK.
Agreed, it’s definitely still an issue on controller. Just due to the rotational aim assist and the nature of a thumb stick compared to a mouse it isn’t as big of a problem. Hopefully they do somethin about it though. I’m concerned it won’t be fixed until Treyarchs next game.
These M&K points he is making are valid as fack but the aim assist is way out of control. The kill cams make me wanna puke seeing how much the game holds their hands and corrects their shitty aiming. Should be called “Aim Correction” honestly because you can watch it in real time.
My favorite is when you try and break their camera, and it just fucking tracks you the entire time. I also love when the killcam showcases their awful motor skill moving around, but the minute they see you, it just sticks to you, and then they kill you, and their aim just goes everywhere as they lose their GTA 5 auto aim

Brother, all consoles have native KBM support since like MW2019 when crossplay was introduced in CoD. And when you could play with it on Fortnite on PS4, before crossplay was okayed by Sony you would just be in regular lobbys and you had a choice you could literally swap between KBM and Controller mid gunfight if you wanted to. Whenever I play Fortnite nowadays on PC ill play Hybrid because im getting old and the amount of wrist/arm movement needed for that game tires me out too much. But yea its different than CoD because on CoD once you start a search, you’re licked in to whatever input you have selected. But I literally used to just plug my keyboard only into my PS4 on Fortnite and I would use it as a foot pedal for inputs and it actually worked. This was before I had paddles and back button controllers but I was literally jumping with my toe and then getting the aim assist back and shooting with my fingers. Fortnite went the smart route and heavily nerfed controller only on PC but now the consoles are running their game as good as a rig with a 3060 so they need to have that nerf on current consoles too. But I don’t even play that game enough anymore to care. I just want to be able to use KBM on CoD and not get locked onto by controller users and it would be nice to be able to see while I shoot lol I play the game at 1440p and 180Hz and the gunkick(visual recoil) and gunsmoke are still ruining it. The last year I’ve been playing (over 1k hours) mw2 ranked and also spent hundreds of hours am training just to feel like my efferts were useless on cod. Started playing the finals recently and my aim has felt crisp asf ive never felt better playing an fps it finally feels like my time has payed off.
I played since the very first mw on the Xbox 360 and i switch to mnk in the first warzone.. I picked back up my controller after 3 years and holy crap that some sticky aim right there definitely a night and day difference if AA doesn’t get a slight nerf I’m going to switch to my elite controller…that aim bot different on controller
I can’t even attempt to play KBM on CoD lately, I have to use a controller ever since Vanguard came out. Most other shooters I use KBM but after last year, I can’t do it. Aim Assist just way too strong and obviously pc players can use both but even these new consoles can push 90-120fps and the high frames paired with such strong aim assist makes it hard to play against. Games like Fortnite had to nerf Aim Assist for controller on PC for this reason but now the performance is almost the same on the current consoles as it is with an average to below average PC. So it’s a little more fair but console players Aim Assist on Fortnite when they are playing at 120Hz is insanely broken. And yea, MWII it’s the gunsmoke, the wobble for crosshairs and visual kick. Im going to try out KBM on MWIII tonight for the last night of the trial. I still have not bought this game and the trial isn’t helping all that much. Definitely improved quite a bit since the Beta especially with PC performance and visuals but man, the SBMM is either too thick or everyone is just too good at shooters nowadays.
in addition to the stupid wobble of death, there is also a mouse shot delay... i keep noticing this because I'm very observant, friends i play with are convinced that my setup is producing this delay but with one of the best setups in the market for online games period, i bare to differ on that... MW3 is the only game i experience this in... they need to fix this crap.. its a game not a shooting simulation...
They gotta nerf kbm one way or another, in MW2022 it was visual recoil and muzzle flash/smoke, in MW2023 it's the crosshair sway, controller having literal aimbot is not enough as an advantage.
The issue here is aim assist, playing with a Keyboard and Mouse I get a average of 25-35 kills in plunder, but with I controller I get a average of 50-60 kills. Remove aim assist or give keyboard and mouse the same option to turn aim assist on or off.
It's both the shitty, floaty reticle AND the god tier rotational AA that makes playing on m+k so frustrating. When 90% of your enemies lock onto you with little effort on their part, and you can't even build muscle memory for where you're shooting it's a big L for us...
I'm very new to COD, and play mouse/keyboard. I came from playing wow for years and can't do controller. i'm just a mouse/keyboard player. I can tell exactly what you're talking about. My aim is all over the place. Is there any hope that MW3 devs will fix this? Or am I just at a disadvantage for the remainder of this game?

As much as I love cross-play, I just don't think you can properly balance controller vs kb/m and keep it fun and fair for everyone. KB/M is raw, your actions and skill are on you 100% with no assistance. Controller has MULTIPLE systems of aim assist, bullet magnetism, target stickiness, and since MW2 its been jacked up to levels of assist it never offered. You just need to ADS in their general direction and the game does the rest. Most of the gun systems like idle sway and recoil are there to handicap mouse players further. Controller AA negates a lot of those gun mechanics. I don't even think console players want this level of aim assist. It lowers the skill ceiling for them too. MW2019 had a balance that was way better than what we have now. Bring controller back to its MW2019 levels of assistance, and reduce aiming idle sway, recoil, visual recoil, and the randomness of keeping your crosshair anywhere but where you actually want it and I think it would be much better. For everyone's sake not just kb/m.
It feels as though some games my shots register right where im shooting and i do great. The next game my shots won't register until I'm dead. Something is wrong with the game and it goes beyond the kbm input. Very inconsistent. When shots register its fun. When they dont, i go very negative. It seems the other team has a 1 sec advantage when either of us peak. Makes no sense.
In my experience the sway is indeed bad but it’s the AA that is the real problem: the fact the everyone on controller are sliding and jumping and still hit all the shots .. It’s okay for skilled players but not everyone should be doing that that “easy”
This is good there’s tons of videos on this , I hope they fix this shit ! raven software please listen to us this will fix everything between controller vs mNk because the game will feel snappier and less floaty for both sides. this is the thing that will even things out and might actually give mNK players a fighting chance against aim assist .
I been accepted that cod is a controller game. To me there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s better to be good on mnk and controller. Having more device input skills will always be the way to have fun and more importantly improve your game skills. I’m learning controller again because i stopped using it for shooters for a long time. I rather be good on both so you can manage game fatigue.
Control players ignore how strong the aim assist is, 80 or 90% of the kill is the aim assist, what is the diference between a pro and a noob on controller? No skill gap, no skill at all in this game
they need to fix this, i noticed it right away, i thought something was off and that they improved the aim assist for controller players. this explains it perfectly. I love this game and hate it at the same time,playing with keyboard and mouse. I guess i'm a masochist
Activision will give them "only press fire from the hip and you get headshot 100%", if they pay for the game. It is very sad they choose to do this. It will backfire in their faces.
Mnk feels so much better than controller, movement feels so slow and buggy on controller. Also you can turn off the crosshairs movement in the settings
Static Crosshairs don’t affect the weapon inertia or sway that’s felt when strafing. All of that is still active, it’s just not represented visually by the crosshairs.
@wkey4dub did you not watch the video? it does not change the fact that the weapon sway still happens, even if you have center dot, and your bullets still follow the sway.
I have always been M&K and always will be on PC. I just find I can concentrate more and TBH, I just don't have the skill to use a controller efficiently. I love these games, and hoping I can continue to love them. SBMM is sh**ting me big time, but if there is one positive, It's made me a slightly better player, although less 'sweat matches' would be a godsend. I'm also a reverse-look player, so there's technically another disadvantage, and find I can do both on a controller, however, I'm just not proficient enough to be happy with a controller. I've learned to compensate and have gotten fairly good at most K&M FPS games I've enjoyed over time. To change now? Nope. Console gaming for me is more of a chill scenario with less intensive games. FPS games as fast paced as COD MP, I'm at a disadvantage anyway. I'm 52 Y.O. in a month, so I really don't want to re-learn what I've been used to for years. A little slower as I'm no longer in my 'twenties' anymore. You do have to have a slightly different strategy with K&M in this title and I've stuck with it, but can see I'm at a disadvantage as we don't have aim-assist, we have to strictly rely on our reflexes, muscle memory and control. Whatever they fix, I hope it helps, but will it dramatically change what we K&M players have grown used to and learned to compensate as best as we can? Have logged a few hrs. on this title, but I'm not at it, day in, day out for 8 hr.'s at a time... Almost Prestige 2, 150, which for a reasonably mediocre/average player, I'm actually proud I've stuck with it and gotten that far along so far... Honestly? I do enjoy the MP side of MW3 2023 overall. I thought it was just me man. Been playing this game for the past month and I can't get past a 1.5 KDA. In most CoD games I am usually a 3. I lose battles regularly that I should never lose and the whole games feels like total shit on KBM.
Especially close range it’s almost impossible to win if you don’t drop a smoke to break aim assist. I have literally slid like a mad man into a jump and watch the kill cam and see the aim assist literally drag the player’s crosshairs onto me and then not miss a single shot which would be impossible to do for most KBM players. I consistently see controller players hit shots that aren’t possible close range with kbm. I’ve just given up I’m at a 1.8kd and I’ve always been extremely good at shooters. I gave up and bought a controller 2 days ago and some kontrol creeks if you can’t beat em join em. I get so mad when I can’t see them enemy at all and I know for a fact they can’t see me either based off the kill cam but their aim assist came clutch and stayed on me while they just shot blindly.
It's trying to emulate "parallax" - eye, crosshair, target misalignment during movement. Surely it's ridiculous. Controllers are the compromise, incomplete input devices designed for sofas as users need aim assist to be able to play.
Ya I aim and I am NEVER on target. Go play bots for a while get it smooth as game offers then go back to match and once again its like crosshairs any place but target. Like they are an opposing magnet.
You describe exactly what bothers me most about this game. It's that vague feeling when you try to aim with M&K in the ADS. Sniper is the worst. No matter what attachments you put on your weapon, it feels like it takes forever to get into the zoom and then you can't track the target because it feels so spongy

i can feel the difference between the two mw3 and mw2019 but i've gotten used to it and have my sens from counterstrike perfectly cloned into the game. i do notice a lot of shots i am definately hitting miss specifically headshots. using gun kick control and aim idle sway attachments really help try that out. use gun kick control insteasd of recoil control attachments.

@@mallymal5896I don’t think it’s 100% intentional but they don’t seem to realize that with aim assist as strong as it has been the last two games along with the visual kick and gunsmoke that the controller players have a real deal advantage. They also seem to love to have crossplay but the matchmaking is pretty input heavy and has been since MW2019 so in their minds a team of KBM players will wipe a team of controller players which just isn’t the case. Even playing in console on MW2019 I was mopping KBM players while on controller but I main KBM. But this game and MWII AND Vanguard I can not use KBM and have a good time. I just don’t see how they would get anything out of it by doing it intentionally. But they definitely need to tone down aim assist a bit because I don’t even see a reason to use KBM because I can just sit back and play longer in controller. It sucks because I fell in love with KBM game playing but now I gotta use a controller.
I remember on vanguard I dominated the battle field. Small maps I dropped 100-130 kills even on normal size maps with modes like hard point I was dropping 70-80 kills almost. Now in mw2 and mw3 im so inconsistent and idk why I don’t play any different I still aim fairly well and have amazing reaction time but I can’t get those same results I did in vanguard … I hate it and vanguard has awful latency issues…
Yep, the mouse and keyboard felt fine in MW19, Cold War and Vanguard. Even with the aim assist being what it is, I didn't feel like I was at a disadvantage and I feel was the most balanced KB/m and controller ever were in COD. Now it's the complete opposite and controller is def the way to go regardless if you prefer to play kb/m or not. It def sucks.
it's not that bad, it's not the end of the world, but yes. I have noticed this. Would be nice if it was fixed or they at least stopped making basic sights with no stats stop taking up a mod slot. Can't sympathize with the people who say they can't play this game on pc though.... have a ton of camos unlocked, never played BR before warzone and placed 4th, I get the best score in a mp lobby about 15% of the time.

Again, I don't know what they want to do, but please fix it. Nah. M+KB still feels better. I've tried using controller, and it feels awful. Movement and aiming feels stiff, don't feel like i have as full range of motion. Aim assist doesn't help. I switch back to M+KB, and it's like a breath of fresh air... Like wow, i can actually move, unfettered. I can aim with great precision... If anything, i feel I do better with M+KB.

Honestly it might fuck you over a little more. I've kinda gotten used to ignoring the center of the screen and just focusing on the reticle, as I'm kinda used to it from tarkov, but boy does it fuck me over in siege when i instinctively try and compensate for a mechanic that doesn't exist

Terrible argument. To console players, M&KB is stronger because it allows for finer inputs and better control over your aim. To PC players, controller is stronger because it legitamately tracks for you.
I gave up after a week of playing the game. Grinded rank to gold 3 and I spectate these guys and it looks like aimbot and I die in 200 milliseconds every time as if everyone is esea professional level.
I have been playing FPS games for 12 years with MK, I have competed on R6 and CSGO at ESL levels. I've played every existing FPS game, all the battlefields, all the CODs etc... I come to this new COD after paying 100 euros, and find myself not even having a reaction time, because you get destroyed by the people who use the Pads. I can't find an explanation to this honest thing, even the fact that I can't remove crossplay from PC is bullshit. For the moment I have decided to abandon this game completely, it's too weird in everything.
100% Having the option to remove crossplay would make it a more enjoyable experience. Can remember a time where it felt like we had the advantage, not anymore.
Aim assist on pad is too strong in cod, I have the same issue, if all of this pad players start to play Apex, pubg the 90% of them are noobs

Dude same, went from 2.03 kd in wz2 to now having 1.5 on wz3. I will say though…the aim assist in this game is mind boggling. I decided to try it out less than 48 hours ago and went from 5-10 kill games to 15-20 kill games in plunder and lockdown just as a proving ground of sorts. I use these game modes to test loadies and see how viable they are when dealing with hectic and full team fights since you get those a lot more often. Here I am on day two of controller getting more kills on an input I haven’t used IN OVER 5 YEARS….it shouldn’t be that way at all….controller is a genuine hack in this game, it’s busted beyond belief. I get aim assist through thin walls and barriers, I get aim assist as people run around corners if I’m chasing them, it’s wild dude. Kbm needs a buff, and controller needs a nerf asap.

Weapon sway in real life is fine, because you have the Gun in both hands, so you can feel what direction your barrel is compared to the butt of the gun.
There is no feedback for this when playing a game, so it should bever be in the game. Devs probably thought it looks cool. But all it does is give M&K players a tripple disadvantage, (aim assist, rotational aim assist on controllers, and now weapon sway, that nerfs your aim, that they can't even feel.)
Good point about holding the gun irl feeling completely different. It even would work in a VR shooter but not a regular flat screen game like Call of Duty. Hoping sledgehammer will do something about this.

i think what they are trying to do (but failing spectacularly at it) is trying to bridge the gap between the two inputs, making them both more evenly balanced between each other. but i think it goes to show that their method of doing this is overtuning tf out of the aim assist to 1000. because i think activision and a lot of (mostly controller players) have the perceived notion that kb&m players by default have this godly aim or something. so the only way to counter this is making controller have godly aim too. but the fact is a lot of kb&m players actually kinda do suck at aiming. its only like the very best top 10% of kb&m players who just have this unattainable, godly aim.
so now you have this problem where very average and even bad controller players have the aiming skills of some top level kb&m players with little to sometimes even no input, and are being put against average kb&m players. and with how fast the new cod's movement is, its damn near impossible to consistently track someone. the human brain just isnt that fast enough when it comes to response time.
@@skullboi642 ! off COD has been out since the 2000's... they should have the experience. Balancing would be easy for me if I were them. I would make rotational aim assist in line with average human aim, and make aim assist in line with MnK players. If the top MnK player is at 60% accuracy and you see the top controller player at 70% accuracy... you know what you have to do... nerf the controllers a tad to make them in line with the top MnK player. If the the controller player is 10% less accurate vs the MnK player then buff the aim assist.

what i have noticed a lot of people doing (including me) is going to the cod config file (many tutorials online about it), going to max yaw speed and max pitch speed, and then setting the product of this formula, (0.022 x mouse sensitivity) x 1000, to the number in quotation marks, make sure use raw mouse input is set to true, and then save and you should be good to go! The reason it feels this way is because if this setting is incorrect, mouse acceleration happens and becomes more severe the further away the incorrect setting is from the correct setting.

&it's shady as fuck if you ask me, that they _conveniently_ left a setting in a config file that gives mouse acceleration/deceleration (depending on whether your sens is above or below 6.36 I think it was)&fucks over KB&M when we're already at a disadvantage aim-wise

"Mouse Filtering" should be set to = 2. They added a delay to Mouse input. This nerf's the mouse into the ground.
I actually do believe that there's an input delay more on Mouse and keyboard than controller. Me and my friend were testing it, we both run to a certain point at the same time, same gun, and aim and shoot, and he got me first 9/10
A PS5 controller has less input lag than a high end mouse. Only a few 2023+ mice can match it.

This is my theory as well. I choked it up to the console networks having priority over the windows side of things. The games first routed through console networks and ends serverside on windows. This is evident in killcam sync where they dont always match.

I miss playing MNK. Game basically forced me to play on controller and I hate playing the game partly because of that.
I find it crazy that truly nobody, or if anything, just a few people understand, that this is all an INTENTIONAL gameplay / design decision by activision. The reason why they made controller OP in MW22 was, because they wanted to make more sales. More and more people stopped playing WZ1 on PS4 because of the KBM/Pc sweats. Consoles are, have been, and will always be, the most common game device platform for Call of Duty. And by giving controller players the clear advantage over KBM players, you basically create a way bigger player bubble. The more people play controller, the bigger the bubble of CoD players, the bigger the bubble of CoD players, the more Battle Passes, Bundles, etc. will be bought. That's as simple as it gets.
Now, why exactly are we KBM players at a disadvantage:
- Controller's atrociously overpowered auto rotational AA
-> It helps mitigate recoil and idle sway, because it directly works against these variables
-> It practically moves the crosshair perfectly along the center of the enemies hitbox (Compare any AA pro with a KBM player like Dfalt f.e.)
-> It counters visual recoil, because it moves without the player giving much of an input
- Crosshair/Reticle movement/deviation
- Screenshake & Visual noise
- Horizontal recoil $ insane reticle bounce
- Horrible ironsights as opposed to MW19
- Horrible Hitreg/Server connection
- SBMM/EOMM
- APM (I have no proof of it's existence)

- Adjusting the amount of damage a weapon deals

Now what could possibly be done about this problem? Well, the most simple solution would be to get rid of all these unnecessary gameplay decisions!! However, this will most likely not happen. Another solution would be to give us (PC players) the option to either: Turn crossplay off, or: Allow matchmaking only with the same input device. We all know that SBMM will not be removed, they have been really quiet about it and are practically trying to make us accept it until we eventually won't mind it. You can expect the same reaction about this whole problem. Why? Because Activision is a greedy fucking company, if you ever thought they would care about their players, then I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist, because you are dangerously naive. Activision does not care about you, they want your money. They don't want you to have fun, they want your money. They don't want you to win, they want your money. See? It's all about fucking money. If it were about the players, then they wouldn't force their development studios to pump out new trash games, filled with trash content, every single year. If they'd actually care about the players, they would allow these studios to put time, effort, creativity, and most importantly, LOVE, into these games. But they don't. So don't bother. CoD is a sinking ship and it is not worth being played by you, let alone saved by the community. Your time is way too valuable to waste it by playing fucking CoD. Find something else, maybe the next BF is good. Try R6. Or go back to MW19, I have found myself having a blast playing it. But for the love of fucking god, don't play MW2/3 or WZ3, because you'll only support this fucked up company more.
I am 54 years old and play COD from the 1st. hour away. When we were still playing among ourselves on the PC, none of this was a problem. It depended on how good the internet connection was and how much money you invested in your gaming computer. And of course his skills! Since crossplay came into being, nothing has been the same. The fact is that an M&K player has no chance against someone who can only handle a controller to some extent. The aim assist allows the first 3-4 shots on controllers to stick to the opponent like a magnet and the recoil of the weapon only takes effect afterwards. I'm pretty sure that nobody looks like it does "Ekwah" and other streamers. These people are favored and supported by the developers in every possible way because their videos are the best advertisement for their game. I don't have to be as good as those streamers who spend 8 hours a day getting shot so they can record a good video. I just want to play for fun and have control over my input. I paid for that. No matter how many old maps they incorporate into new games, it will never feel as good as in the good old days.😢

100% I just want to play for fun as I love jumping on for an hour or two to wind down, when I can. Wish we had the option of turning off crossplay. I'm almost 52, so I hear you. The disadvantage KM has, makes us work just that much harder to be even remotely competitive, actually needing to be more skilled, just to have a fighting chance.. Then there's the SBMM crap, where it feels like they have already locked onto you, before you've aimed them in your sites at times, sometimes you get a dead center hit and tap the LM button so your bullets don't stray too far off center, but then you have moments where the rate of fire is so off and no where near as quick as it should be, and you feel you've emptied half a mag into them and they get you on the 1st or 2nd shot.. I've never tried to fine tune and learn the spray pattern of particular weapons, as much as I've had to in this release, just to have some chance in a MP match. Have found a gem or two in doing so though. 2 AR's that I use to pick off snipers, as I suck at sniping, myself! LOL.

buddy, you weren't playing warzones. It's unplayable, sniper rifles are flying from left to right and you have to be mounted to get accurate shots. Smg with iron sight is unplayable too, you just shoot and you can't see half the player. There's no skill. Oh, you got aim? Never mind the guy who doesn't and only has an aimasist will shoot you because halfway through the fight you stop seeing him and even if you started shooting and gave him a head shot he'll cut you in the legs. The servers are so totally off it'll show you that you creckunl him, but the dude turns around and has fullshields because the registers fucked it up. They took away all the skill snips like Kar,SPR,etc.They left a snip that's like HDR that only 50 year old guys camping in a barracks can play with and it doesn't give the savages a warning for AFK because they're in a barracks all game and they have more mines than players on the map. Ranged shooting... Dude can't even see me through the scope but the aim assit holds his aim for 0.45 sec on me and takes an easy shot.

Aim assist is strong yes but I will categorically state that if you are genuinely good enough on KBM, aim assist being overpowered is irrelevant. A top KBM player who has put years of practice into being really good on keyboard and mouse will be able to compete, this sway stuff, random recoil patterns, aim sway while sliding, jumping or dropshotting however will considerably hinder a keyboard and mouse players performance against controller players.
Disadvantage? Thats not true saying we cant move like a controller is a lie I can easily do the same on PC. What are you talking about dropshots and slide-cancelling are easy on PC. Its impossible for a controller player to flick like me unless they are a pro at an insane sense, Do you know how fast our flicks are dude? Controllers cant do that. They just cant turn around like me they always lose if they have to turn fast. Aim-assist is needed for controller whether you like it or not yes its easier to learn controller but we both have our advantages man. Idle sway is our problem this dude hasnt even notice this is the problem. PC players must use stocks on all weapons or you will get insane idle sway, After using stocks I`m dominating almost every game in MP you better try it if you use KnM. Its a huge difference you can actually be accurate with stocks, You lose an attachment but who cares. Recoil is easy to control with abit of practice on KnM you dont need the underbarrel with a stock, Idle sway dissappears just try it you`re gonna love it. My jaw went to the floor when I noticed the difference, Its amazing to play now it feels great
@@toprap88I saw several videos saying aim idle sway didn't change the randomness of the sway when snapping and counter strafing. It's an engine thing and not a design for attachment viability. I haven't tried because the game is trash, but I'll give it a shot when my console simp friends force me.
I’ve with played both. I’m definitely used to my controller , but it’s not JUST MnK that has this issue. I play with full sensitivity with controller and have for years now. This does exist on controller and makes it incredibly difficult to compensate for the movement back and forth. However the effect is definitely exaggerated more on MnK.
Agreed, it’s definitely still an issue on controller. Just due to the rotational aim assist and the nature of a thumb stick compared to a mouse it isn’t as big of a problem. Hopefully they do somethin about it though. I’m concerned it won’t be fixed until Treyarchs next game.

These M&K points he is making are valid as fack but the aim assist is way out of control. The kill cams make me wanna puke seeing how much the game holds their hands and corrects their shitty aiming. Should be called “Aim Correction” honestly because you can watch it in real time.
My favorite is when you try and break their camera, and it just fucking tracks you the entire time. I also love when the killcam showcases their awful motor skill moving around, but the minute they see you, it just sticks to you, and then they kill you, and their aim just goes everywhere as they lose their GTA 5 auto aim

Brother, all consoles have native KBM support since like MW2019 when crossplay was introduced in CoD. And when you could play with it on Fortnite on PS4, before crossplay was okayed by Sony you would just be in regular lobbys and you had a choice you could literally swap between KBM and Controller mid gunfight if you wanted to. Whenever I play Fortnite nowadays on PC ill play Hybrid because im getting old and the amount of wrist/arm movement needed for that game tires me out too much. But yea its different than CoD because on CoD once you start a search, you’re licked in to whatever input you have selected. But I literally used to just plug my keyboard only into my PS4 on Fortnite and I would use it as a foot pedal for inputs and it actually worked. This was before I had paddles and back button controllers but I was literally jumping with my toe and then getting the aim assist back and shooting with my fingers. Fortnite went the smart route and heavily nerfed controller only on PC but now the consoles are running their game as good as a rig with a 3060 so they need to have that nerf on current consoles too. But I don’t even play that game enough anymore to care. I just want to be able to use KBM on CoD and not get locked onto by controller users and it would be nice to be able to see while I shoot lol I play the game at 1440p and 180Hz and the gunkick(visual recoil) and gunsmoke are still ruining it. The last year I’ve been playing (over 1k hours) mw2 ranked and also spent hundreds of hours am training just to feel like my efferts were useless on cod. Started playing the finals recently and my aim has felt crisp asf ive never felt better playing an fps it finally feels like my time has payed off.

I picked back up my controller after 3 years and holy crap that some sticky aim right there definitely a night and day difference if AA doesn’t get a slight nerf I’m going to switch to my elite controller…that aim bot different on controller

I can’t even attempt to play KBM on CoD lately, I have to use a controller ever since Vanguard came out. Most other shooters I use KBM but after last year, I can’t do it. Aim Assist just way too strong and obviously pc players can use both but even these new consoles can push 90-120fps and the high frames paired with such strong aim assist makes it hard to play against. Games like Fortnite had to nerf Aim Assist for controller on PC for this reason but now the performance is almost the same on the current consoles as it is with an average to below average PC. So it’s a little more fair but console players Aim Assist on Fortnite when they are playing at 120Hz is insanely broken. And yea, MWII it’s the gunsmoke, the wobble for crosshairs and visual kick. Im going to try out KBM on MWIII tonight for the last night of the trial. I still have not bought this game and the trial isn’t helping all that much. Definitely improved quite a bit since the Beta especially with PC performance and visuals but man, the SBMM is either too thick or everyone is just too good at shooters nowadays.
in addition to the stupid wobble of death, there is also a mouse shot delay... i keep noticing this because I'm very observant, friends i play with are convinced that my setup is producing this delay but with one of the best setups in the market for online games period, i bare to differ on that... MW3 is the only game i experience this in... they need to fix this crap.. its a game not a shooting simulation...

They gotta nerf kbm one way or another, in MW2022 it was visual recoil and muzzle flash/smoke, in MW2023 it's the crosshair sway, controller having literal aimbot is not enough as an advantage.
The issue here is aim assist, playing with a Keyboard and Mouse I get a average of 25-35 kills in plunder, but with I controller I get a average of 50-60 kills.
Remove aim assist or give keyboard and mouse the same option to turn aim assist on or off.
It's both the shitty, floaty reticle AND the god tier rotational AA that makes playing on m+k so frustrating. When 90% of your enemies lock onto you with little effort on their part, and you can't even build muscle memory for where you're shooting it's a big L for us...

As much as I love cross-play, I just don't think you can properly balance controller vs kb/m and keep it fun and fair for everyone. KB/M is raw, your actions and skill are on you 100% with no assistance. Controller has MULTIPLE systems of aim assist, bullet magnetism, target stickiness, and since MW2 its been jacked up to levels of assist it never offered. You just need to ADS in their general direction and the game does the rest. Most of the gun systems like idle sway and recoil are there to handicap mouse players further. Controller AA negates a lot of those gun mechanics. I don't even think console players want this level of aim assist. It lowers the skill ceiling for them too. MW2019 had a balance that was way better than what we have now.
Bring controller back to its MW2019 levels of assistance, and reduce aiming idle sway, recoil, visual recoil, and the randomness of keeping your crosshair anywhere but where you actually want it and I think it would be much better. For everyone's sake not just kb/m.
It feels as though some games my shots register right where im shooting and i do great. The next game my shots won't register until I'm dead. Something is wrong with the game and it goes beyond the kbm input. Very inconsistent. When shots register its fun. When they dont, i go very negative. It seems the other team has a 1 sec advantage when either of us peak. Makes no sense.
In my experience the sway is indeed bad but it’s the AA that is the real problem: the fact the everyone on controller are sliding and jumping and still hit all the shots .. It’s okay for skilled players but not everyone should be doing that that “easy”

I been accepted that cod is a controller game. To me there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s better to be good on mnk and controller. Having more device input skills will always be the way to have fun and more importantly improve your game skills. I’m learning controller again because i stopped using it for shooters for a long time. I rather be good on both so you can manage game fatigue.
COD want Gamepad only player base. Thats why they have "rotational aim assist", massive "visual recoil" on MW2 and massive instability of MW3.

Mnk feels so much better than controller, movement feels so slow and buggy on controller. Also you can turn off the crosshairs movement in the settings
Static Crosshairs don’t affect the weapon inertia or sway that’s felt when strafing. All of that is still active, it’s just not represented visually by the crosshairs.

I have always been M&K and always will be on PC. I just find I can concentrate more and TBH, I just don't have the skill to use a controller efficiently. I love these games, and hoping I can continue to love them. SBMM is sh**ting me big time, but if there is one positive, It's made me a slightly better player, although less 'sweat matches' would be a godsend. I'm also a reverse-look player, so there's technically another disadvantage, and find I can do both on a controller, however, I'm just not proficient enough to be happy with a controller. I've learned to compensate and have gotten fairly good at most K&M FPS games I've enjoyed over time. To change now? Nope. Console gaming for me is more of a chill scenario with less intensive games. FPS games as fast paced as COD MP, I'm at a disadvantage anyway. I'm 52 Y.O. in a month, so I really don't want to re-learn what I've been used to for years. A little slower as I'm no longer in my 'twenties' anymore. You do have to have a slightly different strategy with K&M in this title and I've stuck with it, but can see I'm at a disadvantage as we don't have aim-assist, we have to strictly rely on our reflexes, muscle memory and control. Whatever they fix, I hope it helps, but will it dramatically change what we K&M players have grown used to and learned to compensate as best as we can? Have logged a few hrs. on this title, but I'm not at it, day in, day out for 8 hr.'s at a time... Almost Prestige 2, 150, which for a reasonably mediocre/average player, I'm actually proud I've stuck with it and gotten that far along so far... Honestly? I do enjoy the MP side of MW3 2023 overall. Guess I'm trying to get my moneys worth out of it, after feeling a little ripped off, LOL.
I thought it was just me man. Been playing this game for the past month and I can't get past a 1.5 KDA. In most CoD games I am usually a 3. I lose battles regularly that I should never lose and the whole games feels like total shit on KBM.
Especially close range it’s almost impossible to win if you don’t drop a smoke to break aim assist. I have literally slid like a mad man into a jump and watch the kill cam and see the aim assist literally drag the player’s crosshairs onto me and then not miss a single shot which would be impossible to do for most KBM players. I consistently see controller players hit shots that aren’t possible close range with kbm. I’ve just given up I’m at a 1.8kd and I’ve always been extremely good at shooters. I gave up and bought a controller 2 days ago and some kontrol creeks if you can’t beat em join em. I get so mad when I can’t see them enemy at all and I know for a fact they can’t see me either based off the kill cam but their aim assist came clutch and stayed on me while they just shot blindly.

It's trying to emulate "parallax" - eye, crosshair, target misalignment during movement. Surely it's ridiculous. Controllers are the compromise, incomplete input devices designed for sofas as users need aim assist to be able to play.
Ya I aim and I am NEVER on target. Go play bots for a while get it smooth as game offers then go back to match and once again its like crosshairs any place but target. Like they are an opposing magnet.
You describe exactly what bothers me most about this game. It's that vague feeling when you try to aim with M&K in the ADS. Sniper is the worst. No matter what attachments you put on your weapon, it feels like it takes forever to get into the zoom and then you can't track the target because it feels so spongy

i can feel the difference between the two mw3 and mw2019 but i've gotten used to it and have my sens from counterstrike perfectly cloned into the game. i do notice a lot of shots i am definately hitting miss specifically headshots. using gun kick control and aim idle sway attachments really help try that out. use gun kick control insteasd of recoil control attachments.

@@mallymal5896I don’t think it’s 100% intentional but they don’t seem to realize that with aim assist as strong as it has been the last two games along with the visual kick and gunsmoke that the controller players have a real deal advantage. They also seem to love to have crossplay but the matchmaking is pretty input heavy and has been since MW2019 so in their minds a team of KBM players will wipe a team of controller players which just isn’t the case. Even playing in console on MW2019 I was mopping KBM players while on controller but I main KBM. But this game and MWII AND Vanguard I can not use KBM and have a good time. I just don’t see how they would get anything out of it by doing it intentionally. But they definitely need to tone down aim assist a bit because I don’t even see a reason to use KBM because I can just sit back and play longer in controller. It sucks because I fell in love with KBM game playing but now I gotta use a controller.

I remember on vanguard I dominated the battle field. Small maps I dropped 100-130 kills even on normal size maps with modes like hard point I was dropping 70-80 kills almost. Now in mw2 and mw3 im so inconsistent and idk why I don’t play any different I still aim fairly well and have amazing reaction time but I can’t get those same results I did in vanguard … I hate it and vanguard has awful latency issues…
Yep, the mouse and keyboard felt fine in MW19, Cold War and Vanguard. Even with the aim assist being what it is, I didn't feel like I was at a disadvantage and I feel was the most balanced KB/m and controller ever were in COD. Now it's the complete opposite and controller is def the way to go regardless if you prefer to play kb/m or not. It def sucks.

it's not that bad, it's not the end of the world, but yes. I have noticed this. Would be nice if it was fixed or they at least stopped making basic sights with no stats stop taking up a mod slot. Can't sympathize with the people who say they can't play this game on pc though.... have a ton of camos unlocked, never played BR before warzone and placed 4th, I get the best score in a mp lobby about 15% of the time.

Personally, I try not to care, and continue to play with the mouse and keyboard, but during these two weeks I was very annoyed and killed hundreds of times easily, and when I saw the kill cam, I realized; Yes! Again, I don't know what they want to do, but please fix it. MW is no longer playable with mouse and keyboard, and I have average ability and am not a professional, but I don't want to be killed easily. I had the best experience in MW1 and 2, I hope MW will be like before

As a keyboard player, I stopped paying money for this game. The fact that they openly help console players as if they have aiming obstacles and try to cause difficulties for us is a sign that they do not care about us very much. If you pay despite all this, you are stupid.

i have 1.6 kd in this game rank mode ( diamond ) 1.3 kd normal mode ..... and after 8 months we got the answer ... the game is pushed to console in many ways then u guys think .... battlepass / gamepass / skin type ( more childish ) cuz most kids have console / game modes ... and they been forcing us to buy and play same with aimassist they made stronger so they can force players to play controller .... the game aims for u which is an fps by the way like u got reward for precision that what fps and now all pros are forced to play controller to compete which explains a lot
Nah. M+KB still feels better. I've tried using controller, and it feels awful. Movement and aiming feels stiff, don't feel like i have as full range of motion. Aim assist doesn't help. I switch back to M+KB, and it's like a breath of fresh air... Like wow, i can actually move, unfettered. I can aim with great precision... If anything, i feel I do better with M+KB.

Terrible argument. To console players, M&KB is stronger because it allows for finer inputs and better control over your aim. To PC players, controller is stronger because it legitamately tracks for you.

I gave up after a week of playing the game. Grinded rank to gold 3 and I spectate these guys and it looks like aimbot and I die in 200 milliseconds every time as if everyone is esea professional level.
