The problem in cod is that a whole controller community has been tricked into believing that they are really good at aiming. As the aim assist gets stronger they will all soon realise that there is no skill gap between the most of players. At the same time activition is earning billions. It's a sad time for fps gaming.

with increased distance, the aim assist becomes almost nonexistent. Mouse and keyboard can be so much more precise. I've played counter-strike for a long time and it's a lot easier to get headshots even from long distances. With controller, it's really hard and you almost always have to just aim for the torso.

sounds to me like youre just bad at the game. multiplayer has sbmm turned on, which im sure youre aware of. even if you sucked from day one to now, your skill rating should have plummeted and you should be fragging out vs toddlers by how you describe it. i call bullshit though. you're just bad and blaming others for your lack of skill. a controller player who shares your sbmm rating is as good as you are with m&k, because thats how fucking match making works in this game. they dont have an advantage is they are on the same skill level as you with their chosen input device. your whole issue is you dont understand the aa, how it works and how to beat it with "skill." ever hear of a headshot? aa doesnt help land headshots, it helps hit center mass. if you keep coming up against controller players who can only body shot you, why dont you just shoot them in the fucking head, mr mouse and keyboard? sounds to me like you dont aim for the head, ever. youre that random kid on my destiny fireteam who never learned to shoot enemy weak spots. youre the kid that tac sprints around corners. youre the kid that gets mad when he loses firefights. as i said: skill. issue.

I mean the fact that this dude is saying that his only problem on controller was TRYING TO AIM, and that instead just letting the aim assist do its thing is the best way to get good results, is all that needs to be said. That's NOT aim ASSIST that's AUTO aim.

Sadly, games like this - WZ1, Fortnite, Halo etc are ruined by aim assist. I have been playing online games for 20 years with K&M. We are literally playing against software doing all the work for controller players. Unfortunately Cross play (Controllers vs K&M) is at a point where it simply isn't balanced, at all! My mates and I feel left completely cheated and deflated by the amount of amateur players wiping us out from aim assist. Even when sniping, they get no flinch. They continue to hit you with every bullet when stunned or under fire.
Then we have the 'Cronus Zen' - (developed for gamers with disabilities). Now 70% of controller players are now using these devices paired with aim assist because its being sold in every shop including our super markets now! Sticky aim, no recoil etc is simply disgusting. Online cross play gaming is coming to an end for me, its unfair and not right! RIP K&M

I can't stand how strong the AA is in MW2. Occasionally, I'll be put in a lobby with no one abusing AA and I finally get my 50+ kill games back! Sure, maybe I was having an off day, but sometimes I get these "off days" for several days in a row. It is the AA, not my aim.
I do not have god-tier Shroud aim, but I am decent. Between the no recoil, tracking through stun grenades and smoke, and AA activating before you even come around a corner, it is beyond infuriating! I have to actually aim the entire time while the game gets to do half the work or more! Not to mention, the quick-scoping consistency I've seen from some controller players is beyond the accuracy of even the best CSGO pros. Absolutely disgusting.
However, it is such a breath of fresh air when I get lucky enough to be put in a lobby with no AA abusers. I don't mind crossplay, just reduce the effectiveness of the AA. I do wish I could turn it off for a break sometimes. I swear, being in a lobby full of legal aimbot hackers is worse than running across an actual aimbot hacker. Its just one dude. MnK feels just like it does in Halo Infinite, your bullets seem to go astray with the minimal correction and the ADS is very sluggish, specially on snipers, it feels as though it has acceleration curve no matter what, it always goes slower at the beginning of the motion, then later on it feels as if ponter acceleration was turned on, it's ridiculous. And aim assist with snipers and marksman rifles is also super broken on controller, it aims for you technically and it's super sticky on moving targets. I've felt like it also has some mechanic for bullet drop compensation AA too, the shots I've landed and been killed with a controller at far away distances are extremely difficult on MnK, it just feels inconsistent.

I switched to controller today and man it has massively improved my game. Now I win almost every single fight I take and only die when another player manages to sneak up on me. It's not just the aim assist that's bad it's also the way bullets are registered after shooting. With M&K accuracy is much lower than with controller (tested this in firing range). I reckon I need about twice the amount of shots with M&K to kill someone. It's honestly very much a shame the game is designed this way. All the shooters I've played in my life have been on console so far and not a lot of them had aim assist or had very minimum aim assist. It's like they wanted to buff AA to enable controller players to have the aim of MK players but it is way too much to be considered balanced.

Hey man, really nice comparisson! But there is one thing im stil wondering…. Is there also a difference in flinch? Especially while sniping it doesnt feel fair. When i get a hit while aiming, my crosshair often moves up in the Sky. So if i land a hitmarker or miss the shot a tiny bit, im done. Because of that i started tuning more into aim stability than aim down sight. I feel like you dont need to do that with a controller…. Instead you get the same or better stability with the max amount of ads.
It‘s just how it feels like for me so a comparrison of the flinch would be my wish for a future video :)

I play on PC and in multiplayer i have no problem with the aim assist the consoles have. I am usually the one with the most kills/flicking around fast. It's in warzone where it really shines and is completely broken. On pc it's very hard to shoot a guy 300 meters in the sky parachuting, but console it just locks onto you and you die. So many times in warzone if i'm running away and jumping/diving, i still get locked on and die.

I think for casual playlists it's okay. For competitive modes, it's a complete joke. You cannot have players with assisted aiming software against those who do not. Mouse and Keyboard has been the input for competitive FPS since the original Doom, and become a staple since Quake 1.
Its like an Olympic swimmer choosing to do doggy paddle in a freestyle event (you can swim any stroke) and being artificially buffed by adding a forward water current in the swimmer's lane as well as giving them fins, simply for "preferring" a worse stroke that other swimmers.
This is why games like Halo, Apex, and Warzone are a joke to the competitive FPS community, coming from fantastic games like Counter Strike, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Rainbow Six, etc.
These games are for noobs, plain and simple.

The problem I have with aim assist is that it requires one of my few braincells to focus on actual aiming, while a controller user doesn't really have to put that extra braincell on aiming and adjusting. Add the fact that movement doesn't help me in any way (strafing, dropshotting, jumping corners) as their aim will stick to me while I have to react and adjust as my aim doesn't magically move with my opponent. There's also another big problem with controllers and that is the Cronus and how easily it is available but that's another topic :D

I dominate the matches mostly being 1st or 2nd in K/D getting 2-4+ K/D ratio but there are other times where I get just creamed by players that corner jump and head shot me from a distance or slide and shoot perfect shots. lol. Or they get off their shot despite me firing first indicating they zoned onto my head model. or they fire from across the map and nail me without issue. making it clear their controller/game tracked me for them. the aim assist drawbacks are great against KBM players who have to manually track, predict movement of the players and precisely zone in the upper torso or head. combine that with the weird quicks of the SBMM makes for a not so fun experience. but I do get enjoyment out of making players rage when I snipe/quick scope them with a mouse. lol or get 4 kills back to back with my sniper rifle within a barely 4 second window. it's times like that make it KBM worth it.

I’m m&k player and I always lost to controller in CQB so I studied my deaths
Most of the time roughly 74/100 I lost the fight, here is the scenario.
2 players ran in to each other and they both didn’t ran in a linear direction, they randomly moved left-right- right -left- left -right. Here is when the aim assist took part.
    M&K players need to
1.predict enemy movements to follow his dot on to Enemy body which is 50:50
    2. If you predict it right you pull the trigger
    3. If wrong, you need to pull you dot back on to enemy body
    4. At this point enemy can possibly make another move at anytime so you need to repeat step 1.
All of these most likely happen in 1.5-2.3 secs
    For controller player.
    1. Pull the trigger, that’s it. Because Aim Assist do all the prediction for you.
    2. Even if you miss your aim bullet still magically hit enemy body since their FOV is 120 while M&k has only 3-5 FOV
    …….
So my suggestions for M&K player
    1. Camp and snipe them from a far let your teammates with controllers deal with controllers
    2. Soft cheat by using aimbot and extend your FOV to around 50

Now I'm a boomer and I ask myself, will I even be decent enough at KBM to make it worth using.
I mean boys our life is finite, I might as well be putting no effort and getting very decent results and having fun than having to drill aim labs and kovaks 30m everyday (meaning less actual game time)
to me the magic of MKB comes from it's freedom, when I pickup a controller now I feel like I'm fighting it the entire time, but it aims for me and while the experience for me is shit, the results are the same with much less effort.
idk man I really wish I could be not top 1% but very good at KBM I just don't know if 1 it's possible when you're an old bastard and 2 worth it when so much of the enjoyment comes from actually having decent results.

you dont have to go crazy with aim training and all that bs. just play the game. mw2 has sbmm, so youre going to be facing people of roughly the same skill level as you no matter which input you prefer. play the game you want to play and you will have a better experience. if youre somewhat newish to the game, theres going to be a learning curve and thats normal. youll probably die a shit load for your first few matches or even the first few days, but thats still fine. the important thing is that youre learning and growing and understanding more than when you first started, and as with all things in life, the pieces will slowly come together until your core game knowledge becomes cement and you should hopefully start noticing your skill improve gradually. i started playing counterstrike 20 years ago and that shit was BRUTAL to a noob, i was lucky to end a match with 3 kills and 2 dozen deaths. thing is, the game was cool and fun and exciting, so i just kept throwing myself at that brick wall til i got good. the most important thing was that i was having fun though, because if i wasnt, i would never have kept playing til i got to the point where i was actually good at the game.
that being said, ive used both inputs and i prefer kbm. against average players the controller will be the way to go as everybody is aiming for center mass, but it feels like making a tool work for you rather than the tool being an extension of your own hand. taking my thumbs off the sticks to do any action, like jumping, feels slow and awkward as well. trying to land headshots with a controller is definitely harder than with kbm as well, especially at distance - the aa will turn off if you stray too far from the player model, thus accelerating back up to normal speed and throwing your aim waaaay off from the head target, thus requiring a hard pivot back on the thumbstick which usually over-aim's past the head, again. the aa muddies up the ability to make finer aim adjustments. i had this problem in overwatch as well, where i'd zoom in with a sniper and someone jumping across my field of vision would throw my aim off from my desired target, or the magnetism would drop on my reticle and my aim would shoot off away from my target.
if you do want to put in a little extra effort though, it will definitely pay off. once in a while i'll boot up 3d aim trainer on steam for about 15 minutes of practice. thats all it takes to warm up. occasionally i used to do 30 min of aim train, on controller, in overwatch - which was nice because it kept track of accuracy (and i turned on only headshots), so i could literally see on the fly if i was improving or not. in the end though, i would watch my hs accuracy slowly climb up over time, and going into a match afterwards i felt warmed up, more confident and more in tune with the game. less thinking and more doing. i only did that a handful of times though, because usually i just want to play the game for the sake of having fun.
if you want to play MW2 with m&k, please do so. its your game, enjoy it the way you want to. sbmm will be sure to make sure you arent constantly outclassed, though as your skill improves, so will that of your opponents. ;) happy gaming!

It wouldn't even be an issue if we were able to opt out of playing against console players or even segregate input types altogether. It's not hard to see that controllers benefit greatly at closer ranges which is where most of the fights take place in games like CoD and Apex. I remember a lot of pro players even switched to controller on Fortnite purely because of how strong aim assist is when box fighting... You just shoot. If you're playing with keyboard and mouse you might as well sit at the back of the map and hold a long line of sight. I'm more than capable of holding my own against good controller players but that doesn't negate the point us PC players are trying to make... It feels incredibly cheap when you die to a controller player. You watch it back and just think you've been cheated. What's the point in putting in all this effort for better aim on mouse if you can just grab a controller and instantly stomp?

Me as a mouse and keyboard player for 30 years will speak for all us mouse and keyboard players.
We understand controller players need aim assist to play a FPS game and let alone vs a player like me on mouse and keyboard I use to be a console controller player.
I don't like or need aim assist on the mouse I like having my own set of skills I don't need any help Halo Infinite when I play tournaments I'm put in division 2 came in first place 2 times 2nd place 2 times 3rd place 1 time and 5th place 1 time.
But when you have us on mouse and keyboard that is really good at what we do and are skill level and we lose 95% of the gun fights that should say something about how busted aim assist is now days with Crossplay.
We need to react to everything on the fly in a split second why we muti task with the mouse and keyboard all at the same time right hand aims, tracks and turns us left hand works the keyboard like a piano.
Pretend like you are typing but you can only can use your left hand and you can type 500 words a minute that's what we are doing not looking at the keyboard at all.
Why we aim and track there is so much more then having a giant desk and moving are arm back and forth up down side to side diagonal it's not that simple as controller players think it is if it was then there will be more mouse and keyboard players then there is controller players but there is not over 3 billion consoles controller players and what maybe 100k mouse and keyboard players and 90% of the players on PC are using a controller so they don't count.
But all my lobbies are controller players so yeah not fair for me doing all the work for a kill my self and I get killed by someone that just started playing video games they can beat me with little to no effort on there part because of the overpowered aim assist then it becomes like a cheat 0% reaction time and rotational aim assist witch it is soft aimbot that is what soft aimbot is all you controller players you can hook a mouse and keyboard up just like us on PC can hook a controller up no excuses give it a try and see out it turns out for you.
Controllers have 2 types of aim assist it's the bot build into the controller that aims and tracks players BUT it has bullet magnetism two it will be more fair if controllers did not have bullet magnetism you guys can keep your rotational aim assist take out bullet magnetism that is the true killer for controllers us on Mouse and Keyboard will not get a single hit marker unless the center dot on the crosshair is on the enemy but you guys can get hit marker and the center dot is far from touching the enemy facts.
    How does bullet magnetism work?
Loosely speaking, Bullet Magnetism is a game mechanic that allows a shooter to be off-target by a set number of degrees and still have a shot register as a hit. When a round is fired, instead of it going where the shooter was aiming, it instead travels off-axis to impact the target.
Playing a video game using mouse and keyboard is not like using RUclips or Google.
I never cared or even thought about Controller in years and the aim assist until Crossplay.
Crossplay ruined gaming for us mouse and keyboard players it really feels like a cheat look even Shroud said something about aim assist he said what I say Controllers vs Mouse and Keyboard is like night and day 1000% different is every whay and they should not be mixed together.
What killed gaming for me is Crossplay and the soft aimbot that is aim assist it 100% ruined competitive gaming for us mouse and keyboard players and it is 100% cheating.
I have been gaming from the start of video games and got into PC gaming 30 years ago and never played on the console and the controller again nothing but mouse and keyboard no matter what game I played so I got really good 1 of the best to do it I'm still really good.
My flicks and snaps are on another level and when I'm on fire for get about it you will not beat me anyone.
it feels like I have around 500k games or more in my gaming life under my belt I really can't put a number on it I played or tried just about them all and if it was a FPS game I played it or tried it trust that.
Just don't pin me on mouse and keyboard vs the world on controllers aim assist no 1 plays on mouse and keyboard anymore game dev's are building the games for controllers and porting them to mouse and keyboard try to fly in Warzone with a mouse and keyboard none of us M&K players do it's not built for mouse and keyboard facts it's all controller players.
Now go play Battlefield 1942 and fly the DC Mod was the best it's build for mouse and keyboard and not controller.
Aim assist when it is this overpowered is in no matter in what way, shape, or form you look at it Aim Assist is a crutch and training wheels and it carries every player to a win or ranked nothing more.
Controller Players love to defend Aim Assist "because it gives you skill" no it doesn't. It's a crutch plain and simple.
So all these tournaments do you see any mouse and keyboard players no they are a dying breed mouse and keyboard players we are the players built different well us really good players all you controller players are built the same aim assist is what makes you.
And all controller players say switch why should I change to controller when I been gaming on mouse and keyboard 30 years I like having my own set of skills at aiming, tracking, flicking, snapping and everything I do on the mouse and that is just some of the mouse skills using a keyboard is a different set of skills on the left hand I take pride in my kills when it is a insane kill but nothing new for me I been doing it 30 years.
You controller players hook a mouse and keyboard up to your console or PC and see for your self just how much different the 2 inputs really are it is like night and day 1000% different in everyway and should not be mixed together at all let alone in a competitive First Person Shooters.
I'm working for a kill why the 0% reaction time and rotational aim assist and bullet magnetism witch it really is soft aimbot does the work for you.
Console has a 0.6 value factor for aim assist, aka, 60% for every millisecond you aim at your target. On PC, that value is 0.4, or 40%. That's a different of 0.2, 20%, meaning console has a total of 50% higher aim assist value than PC does so shut up with PC has stronger aim assist
Controller are for little boys and mouse and keyboard is for the BIG DOGS..
I'm a TOP 1% Mouse and Keyboard player have been 30 years nothing new.
With Warzone when I shoot I can't see shit so much recoil, smoke, heat haze, dust effects all at the time it is blinding when us on mouse and keyboard need to see you to aim and track.
And I even said it back in the days I will destroy controller players if they ever was in my match so they Crossplayed games now days and gave controller players soft aimbot with 2 types of aim assist rotational aim assist with 0% reaction time and bullet magnetism that is what soft aimbot is but the true killer for controller players is bullet magnetism take out bullet magnetism you guys will need to have to aim more on target and not be 5 feet off target and still get a hit marker.
All you console controller players go play any game that is not Crossplay and come tell me how the aim assist is vs all Crossplay games it is like night and day it's that different.
They gave you guys crazy OP soft aimbot and they called it aim assist because of players like me on mouse and keyboard in all Crossplay games.
It is in the name aimbot had a baby and they called it aim assist it uses the same type of code to work that's why kill cams everyone looks like they are cheating that is what soft aimbot fine tuned looks like.
And Crossplay ruined competitive gaming and gaming point blank for me I'm working for all my kills and aim assist does the work for controller players just have ok or good centering maybe a little stick drift and aim assist does the hard work for you that is what a shooter is made off of aiming and tracking right.
Just give me Mouse and Keyboard only lobbies and I will be happy at least that way it all comes down to skill who is the better player who has the most set of skills wins games.
I just like it if they had to work as hard as I do for a kill or what ever the case is M&K vs M&K it all comes down to are own set of skills we no and learn and adapt to how other players are playing if they are good change your playstyle up on the fly you will win every time.
Us top 1% pro level M&K players some of us have multiple different playstyles it all depends on how the enemy team and players are playing before we can switch it up and play different and still be aggressive the aggressive don't change just the way I play will change..
Don't be mad at me for the facts Controller vs Mouse and Keyboard have 100% different mind sets on gaming.
We play to be the best and test are skills you play just to play in your bed.
How can anyone say different you will try.
Not all mouse and keyboard players are good only a select few of us that put time and years into it I'm a top 1% Mouse and Keyboard player.
There is my 2cents on the matter.

It would be amazing if developers of FPS games made it to where MnK could have just enough aim assist to be on the same level as controller players. Obviously, don't make the aim assist as strong as the controller but make it so PC players can have an easier time against controller players. Right now, I struggle against them, especially during close-quarters fights, and games such as CoD don't have nearly enough MnK players to try and match you with players using the same input.

Raw input wise, i’d agree that mnk has a higher skill ceiling since there’s more skills to learn and more control over your aim. But, in a game like warzone (both 1 and 2), using the same aim assist with more tracking involved, controller really does rival mnk in the top 1%, if not dominating mnk both in terms of numbers of players and tournament placements, with a few exceptions with a handful of mnk players.

As a controller player for about 20 years. Please allow me to tell you how it actually is. First, yes, I do agree, at a closer range it is quite a bit unfair / too strong. However, past that range, it does get quite difficult and the strength of the aim assist begins to weaken. If you notice in the MW2 settings, theres different types of aim assist. "Black Ops" seems to be the most favored, to me it just feels really spongy, difficult for snipers but easy for automatics. Focus is similar and seems to actually be helpful for players new to analog aiming. Precision is what I used to souly use, it was pretty nice for sniping, the assist is pretty strong right towards the center torso. Now, I know some of you are prolly already thinking "yep see its broken" .. A few days ago my friend convinced me to order a M&K to try out on my xbox. So while thats on the way, I decided to practice on bots with NO aim assist on .. I was dog water. But I knew immediately why. Controller players absolutely suck at staying on target for a long period of time. Thats fact, also why we make great snipers. Also why so many ppl are stoked for this next mw3 cod. With the health increase, its gonna be quite interesting to see controller players trying to keep up with the movement and stay on target. I know i was struggling just a tad. Anyway, I turned my sensitivity down to 4-4 in order to stay on target comfortably .. on controller, I'm used to playing 12-12 which is pretty insane, and not bad for sniping with aim assist on. After about an hour of practining on bots, I was able to go up to 7-7 sensitivity. I noticed a massive help to my aim. I could stay on target without other targets taking my aim away. Despite all these other harsh opinions about aim assist, to me its more of hinderance. Once i got used to it being off, it felt like i had removed the training wheels. It was like going from driving a car to riding a motorcycle. Risky and scary and raw 🤌🏼 I literally felt like a streamer with how quickly I felt the improvment. Never going back to aim assist, cant wait to to get into the PC world. Why? Aim assist has one major fault imo, if youre aiming at a target (range doesnt really matter) and another enemy walks/runs across your aim, it will totally ruin your shot, and may even be the reason you die. In cod, I cant tell tou how many times that was the case for myself. So now im gonna keep training my muscle memory for no aim assist. I hope someone likes this so others will see. Aim assist still certainly doesn't beat m&k imo, its just the skill of the player. But I do agree its a bit unfair in closer range scenarios, however pc players with really good movement can typically work around that

    • @LosTacticalTaco
      @LosTacticalTaco 8 месяцев назад

Also, there really is no "if you use minimal input and just let the aim assist do its thing, it auto aims for you.." ABSOLUTELY WRONG. The guy is on like 3 or 4 sensitivity in the video, of course the aim assist will appear strong af, but he still won't be able to kill a cracked PC kid with that sens. I played at 12-12 on controller with AA turned on, try that using an M4, and tell me it's still too strong. Then turn it off and stay at that same sens. Your argument will shatter. Your ultimate potential is better without aim assist!
