Dude... I knew about the 2 buttons for short hop... but I didn't know that it would work for 2 buttons mapped to jump... this is a literal game changer for zero suit because short hopping on its own is so important. Thank you
Maybe a worthless fact but Inkling can tilt her Shield with only one Shield butting by using Side Taunt and a Shield. Ya, I didn’t say it was necessarily useful unless you map your controller in system settings.
Does anyone else use B-stick (i.e. c-stick for specials)? I like it for Lucario and Zelda, and some very good Ness layers apparently use it. However, 99% of the conversations onine are discussing whether to go Smash Stick or Tilt Stick
I’m so lost... I bought a wireless pro controller and I set up my settings and saved then when I play it still plays regular... I don’t know what to do after you save...

I use peach and I use smash stick because I'm perfectly comfortable with left stick tilt and the only reason I'd ever need tilt stick is for sliding ftilt which is not something you should be doing with peach. Also, you don't have to worry aboht accidentally tilting when doing a smash attack. Peach's smash attacks are all pretty good and her ftilt is pretty bad.
So what would happen If you never changed your controls would you just be bad at the game forever? I have played peach for a while and have learned everything pretty easily with default controls
certain control setups allow for easier execution of most tech, and some other tech is impossible without certain other control schemes (like, some tech isnt compatible with tap jump, some require two, easily accessible jump buttons, etc)
This is the most flexible control scheme I have personally found. It has accommodated every Peach tech I know of. It works for other characters as well. Whatever works for you. Just make sure you can do everything you need with Peach. GF bair OOS, turnip loops, ground floats, and SHJCFF/DJCFF techs are certainly things you want to take into account.
I’m on smash on the switch lite as well 🤙🏽.... I have a question , when I shift my left joystick up the character jumps.. how do you change this ? In other smash games I’d always ONLY have my character jump if I press Y.. another thing is did you calibrate your switch lite to your joysticks? Because in direct gameplay I feel as if the joystick on the Lite isn’t in sync with my commands... anything helps. Thank you.
edit: wait I misread that. During the character selection click the control below your avatar. It should say something like "P1" or something like that at 1:16, the bottom right says "save" and has a plus "+" icon. The top right of your switch lite should also have that symbol as well. clicking it in that part of the game should work. hope this helps..
@@bravopapa137 0:28 if the setting "stick jump" is on, your character will jump from the joystick. I don't know why your joysticks are acting that way for your other question but it is possible to recalibrate the joysticks but thats mainly for drift. To do it, go to System Settings then select Controllers and then Sensors. then select Calibrate Control Sticks. I don't have a switch lite so I don't really know how to help sorry :/

Yea, I changed my entire control scheme when I learned this was possible.
Wait can you explain what’s going on. I’m confused @blind
@@mangowett9967 If you press a jump button and A to attack at the same time, you will automatically perform a short hop aerial.
Bruh just learn how to shorthop lol
I never thought about setting your controls in a way specifically for a character. Thank you for making this video :)
Thank because I’ve been seeing so many falcos do the short hop and now I found an easier way.thanks
I wish so hard that i could disable smash stick entirely.
not just having the option to change the sensitivity.
Change it to tilt stick
@@poontycoon7354 they mean left stick smash attacks I think

Do you have it on the correct name tag?
If you save in a name, change it to that name
If you are the only person to use the Switch, don't use a name
Just make the changes to the "no name" option, and it will work
@@Jackaljkljkl yeah that’s what I do
You need to change the name your character is under, so when you choose a character hit no name and change it to yours
