I have had MULTIPLE occasions where I've told people to swap to brig because the enemy team was dive, and the person responds "wdym" after I explain to them that brig is counter-dive. I've had many ppl act like I'm speaking a different language when I say brig is anti dive, or should protect the other support.
I’m playing doom tearing up there back line my Buddy went GM on tank and was tired of it so he switch to support and was teaching me tank and bro our other support was literally bitching about me diving in to much cause she kept dying my bro didn’t even let me respond he went into game chat and shouting stop playing mercy 😂😂
Man the amount of games where before the start of the match I check the tanks profile, see they play a dive character and immediately lock brig only to have the entire team immediately tell me "no brig" even tho I have a 76% win rate on her
The sombra part is so real, i love when an oblivious dps player gets owned by me playing tracer and their immediate response is to go sombra lol, dunno what world they live in, but aombra does not counter tracer, if anything is the other way around because it happens exactly like ball, we just chase you down when you translocate
i had a game like this the other day with a one trick mercy pocketing a Cassidy. i was going brig/ana/kiri to counter but no matter how badly we were losing she would not switch
Raider speaking facts as always. I've had so many bad games lately because the supports blame the tank when they are actually the problem and refuse to admit it. Mercy mains I have the most problems with this when I'm on tank

That's what the problem is. They are so dumb that they do not even think for a second THEY might be THE problem for losing games. So you can't argue with them. "You cannot reason a person out of a position he did not reason himself into in the first place."
Bro I stopped playing dps cause of these supports and I started maining Brig and what do you know, I was getting slurs in chat from the enemy dive tanks in some games

Honestly as a support the only time I get annoyed of DPS and tanks for not helping me out. Is when they get no picks and objectively don't accomplish anything. I can't tell you how many times I see Zarya not kill anything or defend anyone. Even worse having dps with no picks. I can handle fighting on my own and trying to surivive to some extent. But you can't healers to heal you when getting targeted 24/7 and you don't provide relief with getting picks.
@@ianchambers37 Yes! it's fun to shut down dives but I suck atm so hopefully I get even better to fully shut down. 🫠 last game I was constantly getting ganged up by a Sombra, Genji and Doomfist. It was pain but I didn't switch cause my ult came in handy.
I agree, but as a support main, if your other support isn't healing, the enemy team will start to focus you. Getting focused by Sombra and another DPS is a death sentence. If your DPS or other support recognizes this, it's very survivable. However, if your other teammates just keep shooting into a pocketed tank while you're getting overwhelmed, it's not fun. This is especially frustrating since I play on Switch without a headset, so in-game communication is impossible. Im thinking of switching to playing on my MAC with G force now instead.
This is why I've decided to main brig as a support hero. Of course I don't wanna be an OTP, I have other support characters, but brig is legitimately any dive comp's bane
Bro, i h8 getting those damn egirl mercy mains they always call everyone else trash saying "gg, my team sucks," like bro all you do is sit in a corner and hold one button and fly away. lowkey, i like the male mercy mains more they understand the struggle
Those support players who play mercy and expect everyone to do the work for them, boosted juno players who feed 1v5 every team fight and carried by how easy she is to play for the value she gets, kiriko players who forget how to position correctly, moira players doing nothing the whole game, lifeweaver players forgetting that they can go baptiste I just play lucio and I can do more than some of these players by just adjusting playstyles according to the situation.
You know, There is one thing I can't stand. It's when you have two or three of your teammates on Defend that go as close to the enemy spawn as possible. It's like "Dude! Get the fuck back here!" There is no reason for people to do that.

Never look at comments on tik tok. Support players on there think that support is the hardest role, I see so many glue eaters in the comments saying “dps is the most consistent role to have fun on”.
What i dont get is the "no i wont peel, you have to swap to fit in with the team comp, while simultaneously swapping to brig just so you can last 20 more seconds before their entire dive comp rocks your shit" all while having to healbot the tank because again, they want to press W instead of peel. And then they say shit like "your positioning sucks" because they force their supports to get out of position because they dont know what LOS is, and say "you have high survivability" as if most tanks dont have a massive fucking armor pool, a barrier and 2 supps feeding them infinite healing. _Sometimes_ people need to stop blaming supports when your team is made up of a hold W rein, suicidal genji and a geriatric widow
I will meet with the council of hamsters to find a solution to the brig problem you mentioned. Thank you for your patience, we will be balling soon. Trust.
I once had a Busan match as Doomfist. Enemy team had Ball and Ashe, it was perfect. I was diving, I was holding sight lines, denying them anything. The moment we go downtown, my entire team decided to go all hitscan. They kept whining about getting dived by Ball, so I was forced to stop pressuring the enemy Widow who was already CLAPPING my Widow (despite having a Mercy pocket) so I’m straight up down a DPS and a Support and they kept blaming me for not fighting the Ball. Long story short, we ended up losing because my supports don’t have the mental capacity to go Brig because they stayed Ana Mercy. Meanwhile I swapped to Sig and Rein denying the Ball the best I could, but I ended up dying because I’m forced to fight a Sym/Brig combo and my team was a 1 trick four stack.
Honestly ana mercy isn't the worse support combo verse ball a dps going anti dive could have won that as well Mercy swapping brig would have been great but it's not your only solution to the problem
Dude, the reason they don’t want to play Brig is because they don’t know what she’s good against. MOST of the time I get Brig on my team, it’s against 0 dive heroes. So they’re basically useless. It’s like they don’t know she exists to protect herself and her second support from dive. It’s infuriating as a tank main
Its crazy because supports never usually need peel, even zen funny enough because of his boop kick. DPS needs the most peel imo and supports can do the peeling themselves.
As someone who just got back into overwatch after a year of not playing, I will agree with you on this rant. I myself enjoy playing support, but I haven't had to ask to be babysat from time to time. I was always under the impression that I, as a support, had to be around others to assist them. Hearing this rant, it got me to notice that sometimes my support teammate would always be in danger while I'm over here trying to heal the rest. So yeah, I do agree with you on this.
W vid btw, also I had a game where our Moria died 11 times and I called her out for it then she threw the game by feeding. Man most support players are so braindead
Yo! Been playing this game since launch and saw this video randomly and decided to watch , and I came back just to say you are 100% right. Playing Brig as a counter in certain situations is a game changer. And you don’t see her often so people don’t really know wtf to do most of the time.
i love brig. i can’t stay alive against dive because i cant aim for the life of me, so i’ve been picking up brig just to keep myself and my lil ana alive
I can’t tell you how many times Brig has actually won me some games. There has been times when I would play as a more drivable and wasn’t getting any value so I would then swap to Brig and it’s amazing seeing the difference on how the dive hero’s can’t really get value out of diving you since your Brig
Support have types, "close" which is risk reward, "Mid" close enough to help but far enough to dip, "Nothing" Far enough to run before anything happens & no help to the team
Ngl, the second I started playing brig against dive tanks + tracers, my games became easier to manage. I recommend everyone to try out brig, she’s pretty self sufficient
The worst thing that can happen to a support player is them actually doing their job correctly, just so the one trick mercy can feed the entire match and then say "This is all your fault."
I’ve had supports who ride the DPS but won’t take 5 seconds to come and heal me when I play tank. And god, do I hate when Zenyattas use ult RIGHT AFTER I DIE. It’s literally happened about 20 times, I’m not joking. I hate it so much, you constantly ride the Reaper but won’t heal the Zarya that’s getting jumped by the entire team😑
How these people not just going "we need more peel? Lets go brig" Like jesus, either play more mobile supports so they cant dive you easy, or play brig to stop the dive
as a support player my fellow supports need to learn brig as she is a must pick against dive and is literally free against doom and ball when i off role and they get farmed by dive they REFUSE to go brig
As a support player, I had to tell a Mercy player to stop pocketing the tank because she literally would only use rez on the rest of the team. Absolutely starved everyone of healing to give a Rammatra/Orisa 60 HPS. I genuinely believe I am playing with silver or bronze players (I am plat btw) and it's frustrating cuz I can only do so much. I am not allowed to play Juno because my fellow supports don't know target priority, so I have to play Moira or LW. And it's only this bad now cuz Blizzard pandered to us support players for so long that they legit created a bunch of bad, entitled players who don't learn the basics of healing.
If you have to play a support for healing, bap is much better instead of weaver and Moria. Damage, healing and ult all go to bap, and the ability to be active instead of reactive like life weaver, means you’ll become a better player with more action making and initiative. Good luck!
Rule of the thumb is; Support is the most impactful role. Damage, Due to Support and Tank taking ALOT of the heat most picks are practically invisible. Tank, Suffer.
Showed my friend support main friend and they said and I quote “I’m not taking advice from a grown ass man complaining about a video game just because he’s unhappy and throwing an adult temper tantrum because of the performance of his teammates, the fuck?” I was gagged for a moment😭😭😭
I have been watching you for some time now, I may have to try Brig thanks to you. I don't know why her gameplay have never interested me like Mercy and Ana, but I will try and play her so she can be part of my support hero pool.
@@KURENANInot really. Even if she has the best movement, a full team targeting a mercy means she will always die. Mercy is usually the first to die against any dive comps.
Literally exactly the way I feel when I queue support. It's my highest rank role and I feel I'm the worst at it, and I think I shouldn't have won some recent games I did while playing support. But, as long as I have high healing, NOBODY complains, but if a tank or dps has 1k dmg less than the enemy, they get flamed by supps
I'm playing brig more but I swear man like 90% of the time - for example when you were alone fighting ball for a bit - is when my whole team dies. It always seems like you and other streamers are free to not constantly look at your team or something. And as soon as I'm out of packs then its fight over. Maybe the more I'll play ill realize mistakes, or maybe I need to realize if my teams is good enough to leave for abit or something like that - but that part where your free to do things seems to never happen to me.
As a support main really for me it’s the players who exclusively play battle supports and explicitly go out of their way to dps and only dps while actively ignoring healing while also somehow bottom fragging on the scoreboard the amount of games I’ll play Moira/ana/lw and so on where everyone I mean EVERYONE except that one person has like 25 kills by the end of the match while that one person I described goes something like 10 and 7 it’s insane the amount of times I’ve seen this happen I’m just convinced blizzard has cultivated a player base of terrible support mains who think they can carry games when they just DONT have the mechanics but simultaneously those same support players are the most confident in their skill in getting kills while having objective proof they are not it’s crazy.
Support players and their mentality have ruined the game irreparably. It's why the role is babied beyond belief, and when given all the immortality they still can't participate. They have this insufferable attitude that you need to stay by them instead of rotating with you and using the cover you provide proactively. "Peel" shouldn't be a thing, or at least no where near as prevalent as it's demanded, because it's AN OBJECTIVE BASED GAME, where sustain and midfight is crucial but that's been almost erased from the game entirely. I went up against a team with a Lifeweaver on Gibralter who literally decided to bunker down by spawn while the rest tried to stall cart. All I had to do was play Reaper, TP into the upward lanes behind him and flank for him to walk into my fire, snowballing into a 3 pick. Then he flamed his team for not peeling for him or babysitting him. It's not their job, you deliberately sat in the back of the map so no progress could be made. Not to mention so many support players fit into that hello kitty princess demographic. They're spoiled and think the role is animal crossing or something, it's indicative of the type of charcaters they one trick too. If you get supports like this, it's just an instant loss because you simply can't play. They won't engage or draw fire or use their cooldowns to make progress. In short, they don't get their hands dirty. They expect to be catered to for nothing rather than keeping their team in the fight. It's like they're scared to actually play the game, and they must be, because supports complaining about being eliminated is was caused things like lamp and suzu and other get out of jail free cards. When in reality, they're just bad at the game.
I relate to this video, I no longer play cause I had enough. LITERALLY EVERY MATCH JUNO JUNO JUNO JUNO OH! DONT YOU LIKE JUNO?! GET A ILLARI YEAH SCREW YOU! GET DPS SUPPORTS! Every match.. it was a great juno.. or a dps Juno that was getting onto their frontlines like she was a tank, meanwhile my ass trying to help our Juno out. After the first push round I just went 'Oh okay', I will play my Main instead of trying to help our team, just straight up rushing to the team and gettin desintegrated, while I didnt gave a damn. There was just silence at the end of the match and surprisingly I wasnt yelled at, I just requeued and GUESS WHAT? ANOTHER DPS JUNO HAHA! HOW NICE! I JUST LEFT THE COMP GAME AND WENT STRAIGHT TO TF2, the zombie mode its kinda ass but atleast I have some braindead fun. And no I am not a one trick Mauga, I am a Mauga player but If Im getting countered and If I need to counter I will.
I decided to play this day, wanted to have a peek if I could play but nope, got the same braindead supports that throw, my support refused to switch Juno and switched Brig to throw the game.
from playing for good 3 years, and playing the different roles at different points in time. you are correct. if someone is getting consistently targeted as a support, and they find that they cannot protect themselves consistently on the support they're on, then they have to choose either someone with more mobility or choose to play Brig who can punish more effectively the amount of times I have managed to push away a Sombra or someone else, either because I'm playing Anna and I sleep them, or just simply playing LW and gripping my other support teammate if they can't handle being dived it is not simply the responsibility of the tank to protect you if you cannot protect yourself. If a DPS chooses to help you, that is their decision but the tank is not their specifically for you.
Honestly support countering is a skill issue any average player can make any support work in a bad situation but most support players don’t have a frontal lobe

Man the amount of games where before the start of the match I check the tanks profile, see they play a dive character and immediately lock brig only to have the entire team immediately tell me "no brig" even tho I have a 76% win rate on her
What would we do without our glorious king Raider.
The sombra part is so real, i love when an oblivious dps player gets owned by me playing tracer and their immediate response is to go sombra lol, dunno what world they live in, but aombra does not counter tracer, if anything is the other way around because it happens exactly like ball, we just chase you down when you translocate
Me when I get Zenyatta on my team:
i had a game like this the other day with a one trick mercy pocketing a Cassidy. i was going brig/ana/kiri to counter but no matter how badly we were losing she would not switch
Raider speaking facts as always. I've had so many bad games lately because the supports blame the tank when they are actually the problem and refuse to admit it. Mercy mains I have the most problems with this when I'm on tank
the Tanks are always the ones that needed to swap. Not the reddit Lucio or the E-Girl Mercy who only pockets her smurfing E-Boyfriend.
All I hear is “I can play support so you should be able to as well!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬”
Exactly!!! Just learn to play support lol☺️
The real problem is when these bad support players are the first ones to blame and flame "no damage" "no tank" reee reee reee, meee, meee, meee LOOK AT MY HEALS IM A BOT !. That's what the problem is. They are so dumb that they do not even think for a second THEY might be THE problem for losing games. So you can't argue with them.
"You cannot reason a person out of a position he did not reason himself into in the first place."
Precisely. And?
there is nothing more infuriating than seeing people actively avoiding playing brig against dive it's actually mind-boggling
and it doesn't even have to be brig but at least knowing how to live, the literal basics of support 😭
Bro I stopped playing dps cause of these supports and I started maining Brig and what do you know, I was getting slurs in chat from the enemy dive tanks in some games
@@waterrr6332 that's what I'm saying, they play the most vulnerable support heroes and back lines and then wonder why the enemy doom is having fun in the back line because "oh, we don't have a sombra that's why" acting like they can't have as much impact which is ironic
depends on ur elo and the map really.. if you have 3 enemies jumping on you the moment you let your shield down to boop/swing at someone ur dead
that’s why i started learning brig since she’s strong and helps out when you rally
Also very fun to play!
Peak, Raider uploaded. I'm learning Brig because of Raider. Hopefully, I will get better with her. 🙏🏻
She's so much fun to play! Brigitte main here.
@@ianchambers37 Hitting whip shots is really fun
Everytime I queue up tanks its "I could've won this match if I was on DPS or Support" tank is so buns rn
FINALLY, Ive been waiting to hear peak support slander
This is why I never complain about not getting peeled, bc 95% of the time I can deal with it , i’m just doing something wrong myself
Why can't I get you in my games? 😭😭
Yall are so cringe kissing this man’s ass
I agree, but as a support main, if your other support isn't healing, the enemy team will start to focus you. Getting focused by Sombra and another DPS is a death sentence. If your DPS or other support recognizes this, it's very survivable. However, if your other teammates just keep shooting into a pocketed tank while you're getting overwhelmed, it's not fun. This is especially frustrating since I play on Switch without a headset, so in-game communication is impossible. Im thinking of switching to playing on my MAC with G force now instead.
the make a wish joke is golden
This is why I've decided to main brig as a support hero. Of course I don't wanna be an OTP, I have other support characters, but brig is legitimately any dive comp's bane
I love brigg, bringing a mace to a gun fight lmao
Bro, i h8 getting those damn egirl mercy mains they always call everyone else trash saying
"gg, my team sucks," like bro all you do is sit in a corner and hold one button and fly away. lowkey, i like the male mercy mains more they understand the struggle
this is how I imagined Derrek Carr talks to his teammates when they aren't preforming
gotta love when a role is buffed to the moon and back for over 3/4 of the game and people still think they need peel
Those support players who play mercy and expect everyone to do the work for them, boosted juno players who feed 1v5 every team fight and carried by how easy she is to play for the value she gets, kiriko players who forget how to position correctly, moira players doing nothing the whole game, lifeweaver players forgetting that they can go baptiste
I just play lucio and I can do more than some of these players by just adjusting playstyles according to the situation.
I don’t understand why people don’t learn how to play brig SMH. W vid raider ❤
Agreed!
You know, There is one thing I can't stand. It's when you have two or three of your teammates on Defend that go as close to the enemy spawn as possible. It's like "Dude! Get the fuck back here!" There is no reason for people to do that.
But I have to touch spawn doors. It's about demoralizing the enemy team.
@@Pekara121 And how often does it really work? Sure, in some situations it might work but a lot of times when I've seen my teammates do it, It leads to them all dying and then me and the support who didn't go with them facing it by ourselves.
@@SilverKnight4970it’s not about winning…it’s about sending a message.
@@SilverKnight4970 see that's the problem. When a part of the team goes for a stupid play, it's a stupid play. But when the whole team goes for a stupid play, it becomes a strategy 🤓.
@@Littleman_bigshorts I will extend an olive branch here. I know that for certain heroes it's hard to resist
Fr that’s why I one trick Lucio but when I off role every damn time I get teammates that don’t know how to play against dive
had a similar game where the team was running ball and tracer on push. we couldnt push at all bc our supports were dying, forcing me to look back. i asked several times on both voice and match chat to go brig. one of them finally went brig when there was like 2mins left out of the like 10 it gives u. naturally it was a loss
_Sometimes_ people need to stop blaming supports when your team is made up of a hold W rein, suicidal genji and a geriatric widow
as a support this is SO damn true
As a support main who has also switched to tank, you are 100% correct.
Where's that one person who was arguing with me saying Peeling was my job as tank?
Honestly ana mercy isn't the worse support combo verse ball a dps going anti dive could have won that as well
Mercy swapping brig would have been great but it's not your only solution to the problem
the amount of supports ive had to call out since returning to the game. This is so true. 😂
I can only play ow with my cat in my lap or I'll be permanently tilted
As someone who just got back into overwatch after a year of not playing, I will agree with you on this rant. I myself enjoy playing support, but I haven't had to ask to be babysat from time to time. I was always under the impression that I, as a support, had to be around others to assist them. Hearing this rant, it got me to notice that sometimes my support teammate would always be in danger while I'm over here trying to heal the rest. So yeah, I do agree with you on this.
W vid btw, also I had a game where our Moria died 11 times and I called her out for it then she threw the game by feeding. Man most support players are so braindead
😂
Dies 11 times on the character with arguebly the best escape tool in the game
Yo! Been playing this game since launch and saw this video randomly and decided to watch , and I came back just to say you are 100% right. Playing Brig as a counter in certain situations is a game changer. And you don’t see her often so people don’t really know wtf to do most of the time.
Literally had a Juno in a D2 lobby the other day who held ult for 7 mins. Unbelievable
i love brig. i can’t stay alive against dive because i cant aim for the life of me, so i’ve been picking up brig just to keep myself and my lil ana alive
I can’t tell you how many times Brig has actually won me some games. There has been times when I would play as a more drivable and wasn’t getting any value so I would then swap to Brig and it’s amazing seeing the difference on how the dive hero’s can’t really get value out of diving you since your Brig
This was really good advice for sombra and brig. W vid
(Solo Zen on the objective) “I disagree.”
And... They made Orisa META, AGAIN! OK, maybe I am going batshit insane with this one, they really didn't learn nothing? Bro Lmao 💀😭
I thought we all agreed wanting tank to peel died when they made it 5v5
Support have types, "close" which is risk reward, "Mid" close enough to help but far enough to dip, "Nothing" Far enough to run before anything happens & no help to the team
as an actual make a wish kid who plays overwatch, i dont condone these type of support players 😞
2:38 Gogeta blue reference
Needed another rant honestly
I’ve had supports who ride the DPS but won’t take 5 seconds to come and heal me when I play tank. And god, do I hate when Zenyattas use ult RIGHT AFTER I DIE. It’s literally happened about 20 times, I’m not joking. I hate it so much, you constantly ride the Reaper but won’t heal the Zarya that’s getting jumped by the entire team😑
Why you gotta call me out as ball like that 😢
But raider-senpai... I want you to throw me and guide me through it.
How these people not just going "we need more peel? Lets go brig"
Like jesus, either play more mobile supports so they cant dive you easy, or play brig to stop the dive
as a support player my fellow supports need to learn brig as she is a must pick against dive and is literally free against doom and ball when i off role and they get farmed by dive they REFUSE to go brig
Good luck!
Rule of the thumb is;
Support is the most impactful role.
To the people who disagree with the master....I'm curious why?
I have been watching you for some time now, I may have to try Brig thanks to you. I don't know why her gameplay have never interested me like Mercy and Ana, but I will try and play her so she can be part of my support hero pool.
The past 10 games that i’ve played have had mercys in them. Despite the fact the enemy team goes dive
Mercy is actually pretty good against dive, as long as you know how to use her movement properly 😊
@@KURENANINo she's not
@@waterrr6332 then you have just seen the bad ones
@@KURENANInot really. Even if she has the best movement, a full team targeting a mercy means she will always die. Mercy is usually the first to die against any dive comps.
@@memesix5440 any hero is going to die if they get targeted by a whole team, this is not a got counterpoint
Maybe the more I'll play ill realize mistakes, or maybe I need to realize if my teams is good enough to leave for abit or something like that - but that part where your free to do things seems to never happen to me.
watching raider when beating it >>>
As a brig onetrick i see this as an absolute win
My favorite kind of videos fr, hope you been good brodie 🫡
“Im so good at the game and i expect everyone else to be on my level all of the time” ahh rant
I mean if I'm in Diamond, I don't think I'm too crazy for wanting my teammates to stop playing like they're in Silver.
I'm sorry 😖 I will do better (I won't)
High ranked Lucio one tricks deserve glaze cuz Lucio is one of the only supports that can’t boost a player cuz he requires skill
I decided to play this day, wanted to have a peek if I could play but nope, got the same braindead supports that throw, my support refused to switch Juno and switched Brig to throw the game.
from playing for good 3 years, and playing the different roles at different points in time. you are correct. if someone is getting consistently targeted as a support, and they find that they cannot protect themselves consistently on the support they're on, then they have to choose either someone with more mobility or choose to play Brig who can punish more effectively
the amount of times I have managed to push away a Sombra or someone else, either because I'm playing Anna and I sleep them, or just simply playing LW and gripping my other support teammate if they can't handle being dived
it is not simply the responsibility of the tank to protect you if you cannot protect yourself. If a DPS chooses to help you, that is their decision but the tank is not their specifically for you.
LEAVE DRESS TO IMPRESS OUT OF THIS 😂😔
If I had a dollar for every time he says “Brig”, I’m gonna quit my job
brig is boring to me but you’re convincing me to add her to my hero pool
