    Hi guys! Coming back with this final video to a very cool project... where I made a 9-eye'd Slug sculpture using a NEW type of Clay, Cosclay! Cosclay is pretty much the same as normal polymer clay, except for the fact that it has extreme durability on top of it being FLEXIBLE! That's right, gone are the days of broken art work. Not only that, but as you can clearly see in this video, this NEW clay is completely posable! That's because Cosclay is a hybrid plastic/rubber (rubber being what's so different) And if you ask me.... rubber is better! Not but just a little either! Build with confidence with Cosclay, I know I will.
    Let me know what you guys thought of this project, or just stop by to say hello I always welcome it. I enjoyed this project very much, having turned what would have been just a boring test into something very fun.
    Here's Part 1 to this project! Check it out!

    I’m excited for the release of this clay, I’ve been using polymer since the late 90’s. My mind has so many ideas plus replacing this clay in areas I Usually have breakage. Great videos with excellent explanation using this clay. ♥️

    Wow, that clay opens new possibilities. Your creature looks awesome. Never thought of using Sculpey softener for smoothing over texture. I hope this stuff makes it to the UK. I could imagine an elephant with a moving trunk or a dog with a wagging tail. Might also be interesting for creating jewellery. The air spray paint is a great idea. I use a acrylics and brushes and can take a while to get a sculpture covered. Though mine are rather small. You could try a spider with moving legs.

    I think it is awesome you put out another video. :) I saved the best for last as I am watching this just before I shut down my computer for the night. That came out great!! Still on the fence myself about ever using this clay. At the moment the only thing I can think of using it for are my bendy earrings that I make now using traditional polymer clay. I will wait and see what sort/how many colors they will offer. :) - Heidi

    • @TheBroodingTom
      @TheBroodingTom  4 года назад +3

      Hi Heidi! Hey, if I may add to reason... the sheer durability of it too. How so? The developers claim they thrown stuff from the rooftop of their factory, as well as DRIVING over it with a truck with no damage! WOW! Makes since tho, it's rubber xD I, too can't wait to see the colors! Thanks for stopping by! :D And good night.

    • @TheBroodingTom
      @TheBroodingTom  4 года назад

      Not sure... but preferably something fast this time xD I was thinking about a posable hand... but unlike how others would do it, take the armature part to a new level. (at least that's how I see it in my mind lol) I should also do a durability demonstration of some sort as well. But as far as actual projects go.. I'm thinking. Have some ideas :D
      I'm so waiting for those Cosclay colors too!! CANNOT WAIT to start working with colored clay! :O

    What can be used for eyes that is ok to bake? I saw another artist make an item with very pretty eyes, and she didn’t include a baking segment during her time lapse so I’m confused now on if this clay can be air dried or if there’s a line of eyes that are ok to bake.

    I wanted to back you guys on Kickstarter, but the postage to Australia costs $120aud on top of my pledge....I had to back out. I’m so sorry, it’s just too expensive.

    • @TheBroodingTom

      I once shipped a green Dragon Bust to Melbourne Australia to a contest winner, I think it took like 40$ to do it.. Shipping sucks especially when overseas. :( I have made 2 pledges myself ($100 and $50) and can't WAIT! To be honest, I wish they would have just released it normally, but they needed to do this way in order to increase production actually. Also, I told them Cosclay was going to be HUGE!!! The were funded in only 16 minutes after going live with kickstarter too!

      @@TheBroodingTom I understand your disappointment, Tom. Check Alex's Facebook message to you. There is more to come. We are not done yet. There just wasn't enough time to get everything in that we wanted for the launch. As far as Kickstarter, 20K was all we really needed. Kickstarter recommends only asking for what you need. The fact that it has over-funded is just a bonus. It is very common for this to happen on KIckstarter. Of course that will allow us to invest in new machinery and grow it faster and farther than we would be able to otherwise.

    • @TheMonsterMakersInc
      @TheMonsterMakersInc 4 года назад

      Hi Kit: It is a bit costly to ship to Australia from Ohio. The postage is actually $20 higher in reality. We absorb the difference. That is for the 20 lb. box with all the duties and taxes prepaid by us. You would owe nothing more. That is the delivered price which equates to $16 per lb.

    • @TheBroodingTom
      @TheBroodingTom  4 года назад

      I'm going to Edit my reply because what I was feeling at the time was only a passing moment, I understand now and I'm not really disappointed at all. And sorry for making assumptions about kickstarter, I don't know a thing about it honestly. It also never occurred to me you guys only needed 20K either, now I kinda feel silly about it lol. I will always be a supporter, because this new product has rescued me from something I was struggling to continue with (having things randomly break on me is terrible) Thank you for everything you and Team Cosclay are doing!
