  • Restoring Of The Double-Edged Ax That Had Lost Its Original Appearance.
    Hello friends, what do we have here, a two-bladed ax, which seems to have not only made it beautiful, but also removed it from its original state and gave the ax an ugly appearance.
    In this video, I plan to restore this ax and make it like it was on the first day, and I enjoy it a lot.
    I also changed the handle of the ax and used beech wood to make it.
    Thank you for accompanying me to the end of the video.
    Thank you for sending me your comments.

      This is NOT a restoration. The original character of the axe was sadly lost.

      @@dbennaphtali Dear friend, you didn't watch the movie carefully and you gave the wrong opinion, please watch the movie again. Actually, I returned the main character of the ax to it, the ax is like this that I made it. The ax that you saw first was cut and a A thick iron pipe was used as half of the ax handle. From now on please do your research before commenting on something and then do it thanks.

    Looks like someone took an old double bit axe and tried to make a hunting hatchet out of it, rather poorly.
    If they'd of ground the bits to the same length and not took a chunk out of the eye, it wouldn't have looked as bad, pre restoration.
    Although I like the idea of the extended collar for the haft. Makes it a lot harder to break if you overshoot what you're swinging at.

    • @blatantmisconception
      @blatantmisconception Год назад +2

      You're probably correct. Every extra ounce in your kit feels like an extra pound on the trail. I have a broad hatchet I did something similar to. Added a bastard sized handle to it. I plan to add a handle to it that is in between a hatchet and an axe handle in size. About as elegant looking, but it's way easier to pack and use. No function lost. Custom or modified tools are fun to look over even if they're done without regard to aesthetics. I like the puzzle they present when you try to figure out the why and how of it.

    Entweder restauriert man richtig, oder man lässt es gleich bleiben. An diesem Axtkopf sind noch so viele Löcher, Kratzer und unebenheiten, bis die nicht entfernt sind, bleibt es eine Restaurationsbedürftige Axt.
