Farewell Aloe Cameronii // Hello Achillea

- Another very hot day in the UK with temperatures reaching the high 20s so today I’ve had to wait until the end of the day before planting this beautiful Achillea ‘New Vintage Red’ which has the common name of Yarrow. This is a beautiful perennial which is very hardy and should be easy to grow. Likes full sun and tolerates dry soil so I must remember not to over-water it. I am planting the Achillea where my Aloe Cameronii was because the Aloe has suddenly started to suffer so I am trialling something I’ve seen on another RUclips channel called Design for Serenity where she takes her succulents out of the ground and leaves them on the side, somewhere in the shade, for quite a few weeks to harden off the stems and stress the plant (I think it’s already had enough stress by the looks of it!) and they might develop roots and have a resurgence in growth. I’m not really holding out much hope for this phenomenon to happen but we shall see. And it’s better than putting them in the bin. So I will keep you updated on their progress.
