Thank you so very much. I picked up crocheting two years ago. I am now 77. I have time on my hands. My first was JADA’S huge basket. I made about fifty of them with the round bottoms….gave them away….Now, you have the best rectangular base for me. I appreciate just the way your form is… quiet, great directions, time to follow you,,,,,which I need… Positively the best, 🧶🧶🧶🧶. Whatever made you post as you did,,,, I am so proud of you being different, lololo…love it so much….Wishing you peace, blessings and a happy life.🥹🦋❤️🌈
I couldn't find a rectangular rug I wanted, so I decided to make my own. Your tutorial is great! I am happy with the way this is turning out. Thank you!
I single crochet around each post, and just continue with a half double crochet in a spiral until it’s high enough. One could also chain one and continue around in whatever stitch you wanted to. Crocheting around each post raises the stitch upwards and forms a base. I use that method for every shape bag I crochet.
Hi Andrea the bag looks beautiful 😻 if I want to make a bigger size do you suggest doing 50 chains or 40? and will it change or look different if I follow your steps in the next Video?
hi andream! i love thiiis! can i use this method/pattern with coral velvet yarn? any suggestions if coral velvet wont work? hehe xx ps. planning to do a book tote bag inspired by dior 😬

Thank you!🌷😘
Very good tutorial. One of the best. Thank you.
How do i continue with round 5,6,7 etc etc if i want bigger base ?
Thank u finally a video that describes it perfectly
Is there a video with the completed tote? Thank you 😊
Is there a tutorial on how to finish the entire bag? I have the bottom done! Great instruction!
I was wondering the same thing
I think you should just do DC all around!

I use that method for every shape bag I crochet.
This will also start curling up simply by NOT increasing.
Complete the path without increasing. Just work over each stitch with a single stitch without increasing it
I'm following your instructions, but am getting two unequal number of stitches on the parallel sides, any idea where I could be messing up?
Fab tutorial but I couldn’t see the video of how to create the sides of the tote as mentioned at the end? Thank you
thank you for the tutorial

Do you have a written pattern for this? I can't find it on the link provided, nor do I know how to navigate Ravelry due to dyslexia.

I’m confused because RND 4 your subtitle says 3SC in the corner stitch, 3SC, 5SC in the corner St. I saw you only put 3 Sc not 5
Yes, you are right Gloria! A random mistake that I can no longer correct. This is also indicated in the description. Thank you!
10:40 you skip a lot of steps here
... 2Sc, 3Sc in the corner st, 5Sc, 3Sc in the corner St ...
