When this song was recorded in 2014, it never could have been imagined the degree of popularity it would reach. The song that would go on to give name to the more serious music project that is now Bane Star. To all the folks that have gone on to make this song such a hit - thank you, and thank you for your understanding as we've made efforts to pull this song under the Bane Star channel umbrella where it belongs. Apparently his child died of leukemia back in July 2001 and he has been an alcoholic ever since, which is why he recently passed away from liver failure. I personally didn't even know of that despite enjoying the original version of this song for many years. RIP.

I play drums for some cover band gigs from time to time, and sing lead vocals here and there. "All Star" is one I sing, and on multiple occasions I've come very close to singing the Bane Star lyrics instead

The original version of Bane Star came out during an extremely formative time in my life, during the "autistic 4chan teenager" period, so I guess I listened to this on repeat a lot. To this day, I still mix up the lyrics of this with the original song whenever it comes on the radio.

I really enjoy how CIA's lyrics are strongly centered around Bane, showing his obsession with him, the lifelong obsession with the Flight Plan. But in contrast, Bane's lyrics don't acknowledge CIA at all, he's focused on higher ideals and goals, and treats the Master Plan's defeat of the Flight Plan as a minor footnote, a small step on the way to fighting his true antagonist, Bruce Wayne.
It is very, very nice how this song reflects the depth of the plane scene itself.
Its a great way of showing why CIA was defeated by Bane. CIA was one of the most powerful characters in the Nolanverse, but his obsessions led to his downfall. When compared to Bane, his men were more hotheaded and his fire was more dim. Bravo Bane Star for this subtle storytelling
