Tibetan groups urge Thermo Fisher to follow-up with concrete actions - TK (Original). After a year of campaigning, Thermo Fisher said it would not sell its human ID products in occupied Tibet as of December 31, 2023. Students for Free Tibet organized protests and highlighted the business deals between Thermo Fisher and the Chinese government. Chemi Lhamo of SFT tells VOA Tibetan that the commitment was positive, but it must be followed with concrete action to prevent the Chinese government from using the kit as a tool to increase surveillance of Tibetans.

Former Myanmar Police told Reuters he spied for the resistance- SY. Yan, a former Myanmar police officer, told Reuters he spent two years risking his life pretending to serve the military junta while secretly spying for the armed resistance.
