    Hello again! I just bought the Haylou S30 (Pro) and it's one if the best decisions I've made thanks to your video! The sound quality is great as compared to the headphones I've tried before in the same price range. I can't say much for the ANC tho since I think there's not much of a difference when it's switched on 😅 but it's not that a big deal for me since I'm after the sound quality.
    For the headphones' build, it's sturdy but feels delicate at the same time maybe because the hinges are so smooth and flexible. Because of its flexibility, it's so easy to fit on my head and ears. Also the ear foams are SOOOOOOOO SOFT which is definitely a plus, so comfy!! I love how it fits/covers all my ears and not just hangs on it.
    It's worth my money, also bought in on sale, saved me some money instead of buying the JBL one. Again, I'm glad I stumbled upon your video since the binaural tests really convinced me to buy it. It's so hard to find videos that does binaural tests haha. (I hope you can do a test on the JBL710 too since I'm really curious on how it sounds. 😆)
    Thank you again, fr the Philippines!! 🫶🏼😃

      Thank you! Glad you found the review useful and how you enjoy the headphones. I reviewed quite a few of the budget ones on this channel and these are probably the most comfortable after maybe the Soundpeats Space (but these are far better in every other way). Brazilian here. Congratulations on the great review. Now, in recent promotions on Ali we have 3 models with similar prices (at least in reais): Anker Q30, QCY H3 and Haylou S30. Which is more worth it in terms of audio quality, ANC and comfort?

    • @ReganCipher
      @ReganCipher  6 месяцев назад +11

      Thanks Danilo! Tough question - the Q30 are quite old now so I would probably cross them out. Out of the S30 Vs H3, well let's start with the comfort - I find the S30 more comfortable as the ear cups have a larger opening and the clamping force is not as strong. The fake leather on the pads also spreads more on the H3 - it's a bit firmer on the S30, which I prefer.
      For ANC - check the samples out in this video. I think the QCY is better for lower frequency sounds, so if you're using them in traffic or on buses, the H3 will probably feel stronger. You've also got more customisation on the QCY, and the transparency is a lot stronger (although lots of white noise too)
      For sound, check this comparison out - ruclips.net/video/S0AxrMJAT0k/видео.html - it's a longer version of the short clips I included in this video. For me, the midrange sounds a little too artificial on the QCY. I really like the sound of the Haylou out of the box.
      So overall, it's very close but I prefer the Haylou ever so slightly. But I think you'd be happy with either - they're both excellent budget headphones.
      Greetings from UK! 🇬🇧

      Thank you! I only just got the Soundpeats Space but I'll compare them to the S30 in the next review. So far, I think the S30 are a bit better. The Space are a bit more comfortable, but the build quality isn't as good. I think the sound and ANC seem slightly better on the Haylou but I'll confirm when I finish the Space review. Thanks! On these budget sets, I don't really hear the difference with LDAC. If you have a big library of FLAC files and listen to them a lot at home, maybe there's some mileage in it, but for the average user even with Tidal Masters AAC is almost certainly going to be good enough

    For context my headphones broke last night so I am due to buy a new one and guess what both Soundpeats Space and Haylou S30(S35 too but i discarded it as S30 is newer and better) are available for the same price in my country so just wanted to know which one is better between the two(especially in terms of sound quality and comfort, don’t care that much about ANC performance), any help would be greatly appreciated. 😊

    • @ReganCipher
      @ReganCipher  Месяц назад

      Thank you! Both are good tbh, the build quality, buttons and ear cups are better on the Haylou, and it's better suited to bigger heads. The Soundpeats have stronger ANC. The Soundpeats have a slightly warmer, more balanced sound whereas the Haylou are a touch more v-shaped. If I saw them both for the first time again I'd probably prefer the Haylou overall but depends on how much you value the stronger ANC I guess

    I am suspecting that all of these headsets are made by the same company.
    Have you ever thought about taking them apart and seeing what they look like inside?
    also i got i pair of h3 yesterday, very nice NC for the bus ride to my work, works very well with the lower freq sounds, not so well with voices.
    one person sitting behind me was talking and I could hear her.
    and dont know what is better adaptive nc or any of the other mods.
    I am now deciding between the ht10 and ht07.
    I suspect that the ht07 is better for the anc, since the ht10 is semi in ear, and what I am looking for is anc-->battery-->sound.
    Do you think a pair of in ear buds can be decent for commuting?

    • @ReganCipher
      @ReganCipher  4 месяца назад

      Haha yeah they are very similar, and yes I have taken them apart before - many are using a lot of the same components. There's also a pretty good site for teardowns called Qucox, if that kind of thing interests you.
      Barely any budget buds or headphones work well on medium or higher frequency sounds like voices unfortunately. For that kind of noise reduction, Bose and Sony are quite a way ahead of the competition.
      I just received the HT10 and have been testing them out - the noise reduction is surprisingly good for semi in ear (better than Soundpeats Air4) but weak compared to in-ear. The HT07 ANC is stronger, and I think the battery life is better too, although the HT10 sound better.
      For the multitude of different frequencies you encounter when commuting, none of the budget options will have you completely covered. I just finished my 'best under $100' comparison, and it's the same even if you spend a bit more

      Thanks! And great question....Haylou's marketing material suggested it could, but in wired mode all I could get working was the sound - no ANC, no app support and plugging in the boom mic suddenly made my phone think the headphones weren't even plugged in and it routed the sound through the phone speaker instead. Yeah I love the Melobuds Pro (you can see in my review how much I like them!)
      The H3 aren't an upgrade from the S30 though unfortunately, for me at least. The clamping force is too tight and the ear cups are too small (similar to Haylou S35) so I found them a bit uncomfortable. Also, the faux leather they made the ear cups with is too soft. The comfort is the difference really.
      The ANC is slightly better on the H3 but the transparency is a lot of white noise. You can hear how the H3 sound compared to the Haylou in my binaural comparison video, but I wouldn't bother trading the Haylou for them

The 1more pistonbuds pro q30 are very cheap right now but i dont wanna buy them just for the sake of it. If spending more on the oneplus is better by that margin than will go for them. Also checked out many other reviews on the pistonbuds q30 calls do seem very good tbh. Just wanted to ask some people reported having connectivity issues, did you happen to change the eartips on them? One person said it happened after he changed the eartips to something else I love my galaxy buds pro but sadly they arent it in terms of phone calls. I think not having the stem is a detriment in louder environments.

      I prefer the fit, the padding of the earcups, the clamping force - it feels like H3 was designed for females or teenagers, just feels too tight for me. ANC is better on the H3, transparency is much stronger on the H3 (but not as natural sounding). Sound is subjective - the S30 sounds a bit more balanced and less bloated in the bass, but listen for yourself in the video because everyone has a different opinion of what sounds good.
      It's the fit that is the biggest problem with the H3, I just couldn't use them comfortably. It was a similar issue with the Haylou S35 - they were also too tight (they fixed it with S30)

    vs headphones

    • @ReganCipher
      @ReganCipher  2 месяца назад

      These are just budget headphones with a straightforward sound and moderate staging. It's the same for low cost budget headphones. The wired element is simply helpful when you lose battery - I don't think it's unfair to say it's nowhere near the experience you get from using a midrange set of headphones or IEMs.
      Wired headphones (or IEMs) aren't multi-purpose - there's no requirement for battery or built-in microphones or chipsets etc, therefore the manufacturers have room to manipulate the drivers through airflow etc and create a sense of depth or soundstage. You just don't have that in primarily wireless headphones, so it's a little too much to talk about technical performance when it's fairly lowest common denominator stuff on all of them

    They look like QCY H3.

      Not the same though - the padding is better on the Haylou, the clamping force isn't as tight and the earcups are a different shape and size

      I did see the Moripods Pro - Haylou did ask if I could review them, but I don't have time at the moment. Looking at the specifications, I don't think it's going to be as good as the Melobuds Pro, but let's see!

      @@ReganCipher For me personally I like more sound on Haylou than earfun wave pro no matter don't have LDAC on Haylou only Haylou is more heavy than earfuns and earpads on wave pro is better for me only strange sound is better in Haylou more dinamic and clean and open

      @bogdanvlaychev9817 yeah it's more dynamic for sure. I like both, and it depends what I'm listening to as to whether I want to hear more energy or not, but you can always use the EQ with both depending on what you like anyway 👍
