I get the impression that employees stay there for a long time. Maybe not always "working" but relaxing, playing games, visiting maybe even having a nap, though that's not shown. The idea is to create a space where it is pleasant to stay & forge even deeper connections with coworkers. This is an entirely different concept of "employment."
Excellent episode as usual Rafa, very interesting to see that the employees of this new China have unique values that the employers want to develop further and harness for their company. This benefits both the company and the employee, I bet the employee retention in this kind of workplace is very high!
Midea itself is a big family of brands. Not just in terms of appliances and consumer electronics. Since the acquisition of German robotics and automation firm Kuka and a joint partnership with Japanese firm Yaskawa, it has even expanded its presence in the equipment and industrial automation
The automated system in the building provides a unique flexibility and ease of movement while saving time and energy cost. I'll need to watch it again to get my full thought about it design. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾
Wow! Qué interesante! Realmente tienen una tecnología increíble. Además veo que siempre dan mucha importancia a una buena alimentación. Esa comida se veía deliciosa.
Thankyou, Rafa, for yet another fun and interesting journey into new China - really "off the beaten track". Can you please tell us which places are open to the general public/ tourists?
voice command not necessary because you are already identified by computers just in the very first entrance, and you automatically guided of your specific destination but also can use manual touch screen
what feels you want to hear? just ask those two american astronauts who will never return to earth, they are being watched every second. and the places they are working at are called public!
China is not necessary to show police visibility because there are a lot of CCTV that can track any unexpected movement of people and their violations, police is just within their specific station and they only go out if there is urgent or emergency situation of the nearby CCTV's to police station, police in China works just like a fire fighters or a medics but still fully armed incase of emergency
Luckily, for mainland Chinese their country is heading towards communism. So, no problem. Good luck to the rest of the world, unless you're super rich prepare for full blown dystopia.
With such advanced technologies, I hope they provide "normal" toilets in their restrooms. Will someone please explain to us why they still build "floor" model toilets in such an advanced country.
you don't work there, why you worry about others' toilets? normal? why things have to be what you think they are? whatever how advanced they are, they cannot change your body stuctures: you have to chew when you eat and you cannot lie down to pee or poop
In fact, from a hygienic point of view, "floor" model toilets are more hygienic and safer, aren't they? Sit-down toilets are used by both of you, which can easily lead to cross-infection. Even if disposable seat pads are used, it is not good from an environmental point of view, as it generates more plastic waste. Therefore, "floor" model toilets are not a standard of advancement, but a matter of different living habits.
What a stupid idea to mix up play in the workplace. Videogames, karaoke, foosball, dart games, sports etc are the rewards coming home from a hard-working day.

seems to look better than Twitter headquarters, wonder if the worker's are more productive than the "HR" dei hired twitter employees though…
They really care for employees' health. Amazing China
This was amazing
Every major multinational should invest in these kinds of offices 😅😅😅

Nice!! Hope one day our Africa be like that by God grace!!!
Hope is out of town
i give like for u rafa and i give my heart for the media girl she so wooow
👍
Is this the biggest smart building in china?
For hygiene reasons , why not make all office equipments touch-free by means of using voice commands only?
If multiple people are speaking simultaneously, it will create issues. Also IMO, voice is more hassle than touch.
voice command not necessary because you are already identified by computers just in the very first entrance, and you automatically guided of your specific destination but also can use manual touch screen
Wow, very impressive place but i wonder off course how the staff actual feels behind the scene.
The feel wow off the scene

lol, for employee who stick to the 996 working schedule, do they actually have time to enjoy those facilities?

996 work culture includes enjoying these facilities🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you make a video on China's police? I want so see whether they are as good as the Indian police forces.

What a ridiculous question 🤡
employment in China are so flexible and depends the necessity
The problem for China is the future of the office. Most offices are vacated lately.
it's only your illusion it never happened yet

They have them in Japan and most if Asia. It's more hygienic and good for your body.
To be honest,we dont want to use "normal" toilets in public place. We think it is dirty. We only use it at home
