If you can avoid it, do not go Behinger. Might be an affordable clone, but it does nothing for the industry except generate profit for Behringer. The Roland Boutique series TR-08, Tr-09 are the way to go, really cool, very original and amazing affordability. Just my sixpence 🙂
Brought mine 2021 to use as a Metronome/ back track and upgrade from Volcas beats. Practice guitar playing OMG SHE SO PRETTY N SEXY Pushed Me straight into a Rabbit hole of Synth and gear. Tr08 is the Tim Duncan of Drum Machines
this is the first drum machine that you would recommend to a complete beginner? sorry but thats insane. a UI designed in the late 70s is not a good way to learn beat making in the 2020s.
Yes buy !! Had an original 808 back in the day but this is good enough and affordable.
There’s a secret to this little beast and it’s the sequencer and midi out. 💩CRAZY!!!
One of the best drum machines I’ve ever owned but I’m also thinking about getting the Berhinger RD8 as well. I also own the TR-09 as well.

why is the Roland tr 08 made without the ride cymbal included???, in which the tr-8 has both cymbals??
Because that’s the way it is. It has a cowbell instead
I love mine!
Buy it...I own one and used the original TR808.

I think so too, the interface is by no means intuitive.
"you don't need to read a manual..." :)
every Boutique is terrible without exception
