They were the descendents of the people of Iram, Aad, to whom prophet Hud was sent. Quran mentions these places and its people who transgressed. Prophet Saleh was sent to these people to guide them to the straight path. These structures are the remains of the might of those people. Please don't spread misinformation about our religion.

They used to build houses like these just to show off. They used to build pillars to bring water from underground. In the Holy Quran, there are several descriptions of the lives of people of this area.

Hello Dhruv, today I watched the video of Berlin Wall and I acquired knowledge from the internet, and curiosity grew, so my question is that, on which part of Germany juli was born? or was her parents used to live post WW2 till the reunion of East & West Germany ?

Juli here, all my family is from the large part that used to be West Germany. As the reunion only happened in 1990, my parents do remember it! But as none of my family lived near East Germany, it didn’t affect them much. I was born in Münster, but I also have family in Bavaria. :)
