My first girlfriend recorded a song of Krauss's when it was new for me on a cassette tape when she told me she loved me the first time. We were in junior high school. My how time flies by. I appreciate you, and have since I was a kid recognized no one has a voice like Alison Krauss. Plenty of good singers out there but no one sounds like this woman. She has a sweet voice only the Lord could have given to her to use for his glory too.
Hello and God Bless from the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains right on the line of VA-NC Where our country music station still plays the real good music today from high atop the mountain in Galax.

Allison is one of the most talented, incredible bluegrass musicians and singers of all time. I too remember the first time I ever heard her, and I remember my first tape of her. However, your comment is ironic because this isn't Allison singing. It's the lead singer for the Cox Family, Suzanne Cox. If you don't believe me, I don't blame you. They sound remarkably alike. Allison explained in a documentary that she patterned her singing after the Cox Family, her favorite band. So actually, there is someone who sounds very much like Allison. For comparison or evidence, listen to the Cox Family's recording of the old Del Shannon song, Runaway, and see if you don't think it's Allison singing. @@paulwilson6260 I would not have known any of that. I never imagined it was not here. But, thank you for those details.
