I remember a contest where you would send a drawing of a morphed design to win. I don’t remember what the prizes were other than the top pick got their design put into the sequel. I was 12 and participated and I got 4th place. I got a free copy of vector man 2 in the mail. There wasn’t anything special about the game box which was the cheaper card board boxes and not the plastic clamshell. That’s all I can remember.
Haven't gone out of my way lately, usually only grab a copy if they show up at my friends local game store. Have a nice collection, no winner yet but I will definitely post a video when I do. Thanks for watching! :D
I am amazed and happy to see someone else who is just as dedicated to this as I am. While I own no og copies I am practicing speedrunning the game for the sake of hunting down and playing em just like you for the screen. Good luck on your search. I really hope one of us finds it. Also of note is that there's potentially a mock up of the screen in the manual of us copies and also tonight I will be playing all three currently released betas of the game. Seeing as there is very little documentation of them online there is a small chance of something being on those. I will let you know if that is the case.
At this point in time there's no turning back now! :D lol but thanks I appreciate it also gl with the speedrunning any tips be sure to ask anyone on the Speedrun.com board including myself I'd be glad to help. What do you mean when you say og copies? Also, do let me know about the beta's I'm curious! Btw, you're correct there is a picture of the screen in the back of the manuals I own, did you want me to send a picture via twitter or something?
@@GINTegg Anything cart wise for Vectorman should be original print unless you have a "Mega Hits" copy, in which case you'll have a big yellow stripe across one side of the cart sticker saying Mega Hits. Right?

I was 12 and participated and I got 4th place. I got a free copy of vector man 2 in the mail. Also speed run tip. Pause game and enter C,A, left, left, A, C, A, B. Turns you into an arrow and you can just move yourself at high speed to the end of the level or boss area. Pause and enter code again.
Comment much appreciated, didn't know about that code it will help when I practice for speedruns again eventually. Cool info also, I didn't know about that contest until hearing it from you, awesome that you remember placing 4th and receiving a copy of Vectorman 2, congrats! :D
lol Thanks man! Try it out over the holidays with a game you've been wanting to, spend a day on it and see where it goes, I wanna try a Resident Evil 2 N64 speedrun soon too. :D
Mental note: ask friends if they have Vectorman carts, mail them to this absolute madlad
lol would be more than happy to add to the growing collection and play it through right away! Also, thanks for watching and commenting! :D

@@RetroSunday og is short hand for original. In this instance referring to a early us copy.

@@RetroSunday Most likely it's just the first batch of us copies that had it.
