What is that black box in front of you with the greenlight for?
When the agreed upon rate is for a x b x c space and weight, if it's over that agreed upon rate, call the broker and tell them you need more money. Sometimes you have to get stern with them, even threatening to leave the load. When you just take the load, they are taking mo ey out of your pocket.

If dimensions are not what they agreed to, don’t hesitate to call them on location and renegotiate. I’ve done it and they will pay instead of leaving the load. Looks bad on them to shipper if load is denied.

Like ol boy said my first call would have been yo the broker before they loaded and I'd been getting some more on the table
Charge a little extra for using more deck space, tell broker length was wrong and you need to be compensated for the extra deck space usage.

I love watching these videos and can’t figure out how you can make money putting that many miles on your vehicles.
These new trucks now days cost a lot of money and if you have too many break downs I could see where you could go belly up very fast.

15:54 from what I understand they do this intentionally to keep the rate low. It's BS though because that takes money from you while they pocket the rest. Idk if this is 100% true but I've been told this a lot by hotshot guys
