My daughter and her family just had a house built down in Sunset Beach. I miss them terribly; this has helped me see where they live and also is full of interesting facts. She is from New England up North and has mentioned she will never, ever move back. (lol) I showed her photos of our 18" blue snow we just had dumped on us this week, while she showed me photos of her blue sea. I am much rather liking the blue oceans. Thank you so much.
If you aren't from here or renting here don't come here. Sunset Beach is a small residential island. We have near to no parking. Outsiders come here and make so actual residents of Calabash, Carolina Shores and mainland Sunset have no place to park.
@zain Not true when it comes to our beach. The less the better. Go read the forums. Even vacationers say it's overcrowded compared to 10 years ago. The overcrowding leads to it losing what it is...a small beach town.
.......Place is overrated......not a lot to do except drive golf carts around the island....i think it was developed by the mob or something.....at least thats what I heard.....⚖️🃏✏️💯

The author of the Little Bear books lived her last decades here after her husband died. It is such a lovely place. It is heavenly. 🤗

This town seems to be a well-kept secret and I hope it stays that way. Affordable, too! Wrightsville Beach is way more expensive!
