I actually have the “Slushy Magic”, got it like 7 or 8 years years ago. I used it like two months ago, and to my surprise, the ice cubes (ice cube packs) still made a slushy!
What do you think of that Chapstick! Hmmmmmm....
Edit: after watching the full video I can confirm that the ice cube packs are not, I repeat NOT supposed look like that. Mine still look like plain water inside.

I don't know. I actually used Coca-Cola when I made mine, and maybe thats different. It already being a cold drink probably helps though.

It works, it just takes a lot longer than they show in the commercials. It takes like 12 hours to freeze the cubes (because it's Brine) and about 20 or 30 minutes to get your drink totally slushified. Also if your freezer isn't cold enough to freeze the cubes totally solid it won't get cold enough to slushify the drink either.

I had the original slushy magic. It didn’t work at all. I still have the cups to this day. The cups are actually really nice, and the only reason to buy it. I had two, and I lost both straws to the dreaded dish washer (they melted from the heat).

If you want to do this, get a big bag and fill it with ice and throw in a little bit of salt. Then get a little bag, fill it with your liquid of choice and stick it in the big bag and squish it around. It usually works for ice cream so it might work for slushies.

If you look closely the max is smaller then the normal, same height of drink but actually more slim
And that's how they get ya.
The problem with the slushy magic is that the special “ice cubes” take up so much space in the cup that you end up making very little actual slushy.

I got a squeezy freezy for my 9th birthday. You have to freeze it overnight so I did. In the morning I put those dissolvable drink packets inside filled it with water to the line, squeezed it and it got all over me. The lid that it came with was broken. I was appalled. Squeezy Freezy ruined my childhood.
Lmao I used to have one of those (slushie magic); my grandma bought it for me and you ended up with like 3 spoonfuls of slushie at the end cause of the giant ice pack cubes

I actually had a slushy make like the squeezy freezy one but with a different brand. It worked with a small bit of the drink but on around the 3rd time I used it, it just stopped working.

I used to have slushy magic when I was a kid and from what I remember, it technically worked, but my only issue with it was that even after filling it to the top with the drink, it would make BARELY any slushee. Also I don’t think those ice cubes are not suppose to look like that...
