I prefer less articulation. I run a Hilow on 80mm dlux front and rear no limiters or straps. It seems to help with keeping the truck flat. I would prefer to hang a wheel over a drop than be down in the drop. I'm sure those tires need some break in also. I run nothing but Tusks. It seems to be the perfect tire for me and our terrain. Looks like a good test run because now you have a baseline to go off of. She will only get better from here.
I think this rig does pretty darn good for being a budget rig. There are so many others that spend well more than that. You’ve been comping it with the big boys with this too and doing pretty good! Those tires are supposed to be pretty good , but still perhaps may not be the best for your vehicles. I’m a firm believer that just because one tire works well for one vehicle, it may not do as well for another. So many factors pertaining to the the vehicle their on that may affect their usefulness. As far as Amazon budget rigs, I would say redcats Danchee ridgerock is a solid place to start and also the remo hobby honcho truck. Think they got it hands down . Love those plastic bodies especially the Holiday buggy looking one. Your channels awesome bro, keep up the phenomenal work! Take care my friend!😎
looking myself for a budget build from basic..I had a very limited knowledge about RC crawlers. Luckily your videos helps a lot on me making decision on which part need to be bought.
3 things that I think will help you. 1) Some wheel weights or brass portal covers. Those are great tires but they like a little weight to make them work. Plus to help with the CG. 2) SL3D Squid’n’serts. Everyone I’ve seen try them have been thoroughly impressed. 3) Either switch to deser lizard’s or add some Deez shock bands to these ones. They won’t limit the articulation but will help keep it planted. Don’t limit the articulation. It’s great and it’s not what is giving you problems.
Well brother, thank you I do have the brass wheel weights, the ring things and maybe I do been some portal covers too. Thanks for the input, I'm thinking about comping this weekend with it!!
@@arkansasrcnewbie definitely throw the portal covers on then but don’t wuss out, get some beefy ones. You could get some heavy and some lighter ones and do some comparisons for your channel. Seriously take a look at the SL3D inserts. They’re far better than the BAMF and YZZR inserts and a much better value for your dollar. They run neck and neck with the 3BRC Antifoams but without all the tuning parts and much lower cost. He might even do a deal if you review them on the channel.
I always take several sets of tires when testing because they can make BIG changes quickly. I think your rating system would benefit from whatever tires the locals like the most.
I myself have a gspeed gshot with way to much $ invested. My daughter has an Amazon built lgc with ruptures and her truck can do almost everything mine can and it was way way less $. She always brings up how good hers does and how much less it cost me lol.
That's great man! I can totally see that, I just have to make some tweaks and stuff I'm sure. But I am learning, you know those ruptures are on the band list for my comps 😢
Gotta slam it.. thicker oil in the rear, 100% droop set up all around. Light pen springs on the front shocks inside on the shock shaft, 20w oil in the front with pen springs. Body will hold to the ground until axle is off the ground, then front end with reach for ground on when it needs to, when skid gets hung up. I set mine up like that and it will slide off the side hill before it flips. It never flips.. it just slides off and flips. I'm getting like 80° side hill. It's like a spider. My rear shocks are also leaned way back on the chassis and they are 100mm, fronts are 90mm.
WoW 😮❤😮!!! Awesome RC Crawler!!! Some "fails" but maybe some tuning and that gates are very challenging! Great and very well done Vídeo Work my Friend!!!
I appreciate the budget build. The more you stay away from Amazon the better. 90% of that stuff is junk. It’s good to support the little guys in RC. Artful Dodgers is a good start. It’s the small companies that make this hobby special and authentic. Spending $20 more on a part will pay off in the long run.
I agree with ya. You know I have got a pretty descent size RUclips channel (not rc related) and that being said I do need to build this one first. As I did with that one, buying something from a company that everyone can relate to and most have an app on there phone, to purchase threw gets clicks. Give me some time and experience and I'll get there. Thanks brother, appreciate. The comment
Tires are good what I noticed is since the truck is on full droop u dont have any spring to stop that bouncing i would try a losi mini t spring in the rear.
Do you have overdrive in that rig ? Nice build btw, some people just can't afford to buy the best of everything , but some things you just can't cheap out on im gonna build one of those soon.
You know there's a 30percent overdrive in the gearbox, that's all so far. But I do plan on some overdrive gears soon in the portals. Thanks brother, thing is becoming a monster.
Cool video and great channel! You obviously wrestled...lol. We are a wrestling family as well. My son is a junior in high school and is looking to make it to the state tourney this year! Really dig your content. Keep up the good work!
Man good luck to your boy! Be a Monster is what I tell dmy students lol. I have trained and competed against many great wrestlers but the ears are from no gi grappling! Yeah man I have been on the mats since I was 7yrs old. I currently train and coach kids and adults. But thanks for noticing man, also appreciate you checking the channel out. It can only get better 👊
For sure brother, the fronts are shock keys amd the rear I fabbed put of 90 degree carbon fiber. Here's an affiliate link. www.amazon.com/dp/B091HGSR7D/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_JQFW5WTBRKRZ5FFFP1AQ?linkCode=ml2&tag=wolftickvid02-20
I have accumulated enough spares and a Brazen chassis to build one practically free. I'm going to throw one together and sell it for a couple hundred dollars. Basically beer money and dump the parts I'll never use. Maybe help someone get into the hobby on the cheap.
Throw a set of 80mm shocks on it and get real brass an pull that off your wheels and that rig will wake up... DB hobby makes the best inserts on the market Lessen your articulation
So, if everything is replaced on the RGT, what are you going to call it now and are you going to rebuild the RGT back to stock as close as you can? The budget Amazon build looks like it might serve you well after some fine tuning of course. 🦥

For sure!! Did you see the foxbelly in the mailtime!?!? ALREADY INSTALLED!! Thanks brother see you on the next
I agree on the tusks.
I drilled holes in my chassis so I could lean my rear shocks in.. way more articulation.
Lots of weight up front, soft printed inserts.

I'll take a look man, thank you. I guess I'll have to chop the spring a little??
@@arkansasrcnewbie i would keep the spring u already have in it and just add the losi mini t spring on the outside.
You need to do this run with a truck that is capable first and then the budget truck. Its not getting a fair compairison and baseline.
You are right, I've got a couple of crawlers now and that would be a great episode. Thanks
Bro, get a set of 3brc anti foams, and try this same side hill!!!
4.75" dual stage....
👊 Thanks Brother appreciate the input. Everyone says that! Lol
Love the new build. I can't wait to play "CRAWL" against that truck with my new build!
Gonna be "CRAWL" ing allover ya! Lol Thanks Hick, I'm super excited 😄
Watch what you ask for. He took out Luke!!

How's the truck doing , are those skid runners ok. ? I'm building one just like yours but lm using Capra axles and 4 ws just started got a ways to go
She looks so sick!! Some fine tuning and u will have a phenomenal rig bro! Great build!!
Appreciate the love man, glad to have you back.
@@arkansasrcnewbie me to hopefully things slow down and I can start my new build
Anyone that has the foam sliding problem, just take some silicone and glue your inner ring to the foam, things will work pretty good after that.

Got a RUclips channel brother, I need content for what not everyone has or reviews.
nice crawl movement on the rock
Thanks brother, hopefully I can get this thing down and comp ready!!
Try some brass portal covers. That RS200 is gonna be sick!
Hell Yeah!! Thanks brother, I'm close to buying some!!
That wheel hop is killing your up hill.
Suggestions??
I’d try getting your dive and squat working together on your upper links and your rear tire inserts how stiff are they.
Nice 👍🏾
Thanks brother, super awesome to drive something I built from the ground up!!
The 4.75" CI foams are too tall. 4.5" lil nova wides would do much better.
Man I ordered the 4.5 with the tuning ring?? I don't know I'm hoping it's just tires?? I'm pretty disappointed with there performance. Any ideas?
