Ha business class helps obviously but it's a long time in a tin can in the sky for sureeeee. Proper review coming soon! Just waiting for an update for Resolve
great video. still using an old windows on ARM snapdragon 7c LTE laptop before all this Snapdragon X craze. battery still is superb. love Singapore by the way. I worked there for a couple of years. you gained a sub 1+
I watched your original review of the first surface laptop studio and I remember it as the first review and the one that pushed me over to buy it. Thank you. And hope you're doing well!
Great job on the video! Bought the 13” and it’s the best laptop I’ve owned with amazing battery life. My other daily laptop is a XPS 13 9310 laptop that can barely last an hour.
Great video as always :) I dont think having a great battery is a big deal on a flight, you can just pug it in to charge. But it is cool it will lst so long.
Thank you! And yeah it was a bit of a stunt of course but again still real world usage and figured it was better to watch than a time lapse of the laptop on a table 🤷♂️
@@TheUnlockr O it was much better. I have a upcoming 14hr flight (but not in bussiness) and will be useing my samsung tab S9 plus as I like to watch my own seletion of movies/TV shows. Living in New Zealand we are used to long flights to get anywhere.
the fact disney and netflix don't have proper apps on windows now, only web shortcuts is a real kicker because you can't donwload anything to watch on the plane anymore. Literally have to use an iPad now.
The thing that no one is actually talking about over the battery life claims of the SDXE v the MBA.... when you typically use a windows notebook and want to get the best juice out of it, you will need to dim down your screen brightness and also if possible, turn off the keyboard backlight. This will get you a substantial battery life for sure. If you are doing heavy workload that requires the spike of the CPU, GPU and now, the NPU, then this scenarios will probably knock off the battery even way more down. To get a notebook battery life to be working at least 8 hours a day without a single charge on is great for most users. Then again, the wear and tear of the battery usage over time is what the real test will come by to know if it really stands up against the competitors. I'd say the SDXE is a good chipset overall, but there are a few variants to them. PC manufacturers wont go down to the specifics when you purchase and have them customized, so its still kinda hard to know if you're on the SDXE and to say its the best, you kinda need to know if you're too using the top of the top variant of it :)
Welcome to Singapore! Hope you enjoyed your time here and your flights here and back! Heard that the service on the flights is quite good, was that your experience?
What were you running the back lot keyboard when it was daylight on the plane? You may have turned it off but you didn't show it if you did. The back lot keyboard may draw the battery down faster is why I asked
The plane has wifi. Oh and I forgot to mention actually that for some reason the fact there was a login page to access the internet, the laptop icon showed that it didn't have internet sometimes even though it did 🤷♂️
Most importantly, how was the coffee? That aside, another great review. I love how chipsets are becoming more power efficient. I don’t think this would make me jump ship from my MacBook but I’m looking forward to your full review. 👍
Ha plane coffee is never good but the coffee in Singapore 🔥 Thank you! And will definitely do a proper review ASAP just waiting for an update to Davinci Resolve 🙏
What is the work? If it is ASCII or typing It is not as intensive as Musical composition or graphical design. The highest work load would be video production/special effects...
What do you think about the gpu.. updating your drivers is nearly impossible yet.. yeah with some GitHub bypass.. but they need to release some software to update the drivers. They told us we get adreno panel software but it still has to become available. What i also noticed.. export 4K video’s took my ages. got like a 9 minuten 4K edited video. Took me 6 hours to fully export !? Also the battery in my case is drained a lot faster. So my questions are : What export times do you noticed and what settings you use like which codec ? Which battery settings are u using ? Why did you go for this laptop instead of a MacBook or AMD ai alternative ?
yeah no way i would ever acheive those run time figures. Especially given the fact that you was using it at like 15 percent screen brightness. I like to use my laptops at 100 percent. LOL
So to get the shots of walking in the airport or packing bags when reaching the seat - does there have to be placement of the camera then action follows or is there are team? 🤔🤔I am sure this is a one man team.
So you can use it for a lot. There are websites that'll tell you what games run and at what frame rates and Resolve does work but it's in beta and so I'm waiting for an update
I find it hilarious that Microsoft pretends like a change in instruction set is the “rebirth” of the Pc. No it’s not. Unless Microsoft actually cares enough to fix their software it’s not gonna be very different from existing notebooks.
I have no idea why anyone is still claiming M cpu's are more performant than x86. The best M in every generation NEVER beat the best x86. M relies on exponentially more transistors at closer proximity to give the illusion of performance, and the illusion of efficiency, it's got more instructions per clock for performance and efficiency because of transistor count, not because of arm X CPUs are being compared against the worst M cpu made a year ago it doesn't beat any year old M but the lowest tier M It doesn't come close to the lowest M made this year It loses to year old x86 last year, and this year's x86 crushes it, AND beats iit in efficiency when set to to the same power draw M is a lie, X is a lie, ARM is a lie
Longest nonstop commercial flight. Obviously just plane hopping you could fly indefinitely if you wanted and just go from airport to airport, that's not that impressive 😂
The commitment to do this for a RUclips video is insaaaane
I'm still jetlagged 😂
Getting paid to fly business class - oh no the horror!
Flown plenty of long haul flights - it's really not that bad.
Rumour has it it's been 3 weeks and he's still jetlagged 😁
A tech video and an aviation video at the same time. What a luxury.
Thank you for watching it!
I was like the youtube algorithm finally figured me out lol
😂
19 hours, 10 minutes? Between airsickness and jet lag, I would be such a mess when I arrived… you deserve all the kudos for this one, David.
Ha I've been jetlagged now for over a week. Thank you for watching this and making it not all for naught 😂🙏
this is the reason why this is my favorite tech reviewer.
Aw thank you for that!
Caution! It's not a Snapdragon X Elite review, it is Singapore Airlines promotional video.
Damn right
I wanna go to changi airport so bad
I would NEVER want to get on a 19 hour flight, but kudos to you man. Was waiting for your Surface X Elite laptop review

Oh man, the balls to this for a review! You deserve all the appreciation and love! This stuff is Mr.Beast level insane
Ha thank you 🙏
i love how he promotes Singapore airline and Surface Laptop at the same time..clever 😅
Love to see more of these kinds of formats, very refreshing 👍🏼
Thank you!
Nice to see David testing out the MS Surface Laptop 7 with the new SD X Elite!
stellar video bro. That flight is no joke. But Singapore Airlines service is top-tier
Ha thanks man!
Well done. Excellent video

Would love to fly on Singapore A350 business class! Brilliant video as always!!
There's no way I could be on a plane for that long. I would lose my mind.
It's long lol
Welcome to Singapore! Hope you enjoyed your time here and your flights here and back! Heard that the service on the flights is quite good, was that your experience?

Only thing the plane is missing is a walk-in shower and a bodega 😅
Jeb Brooks would be proud 🛩️
Apple already says that their MacBook Pro's battery can last from New York to Singapore on their website, it would be cool if you could test that out
They did? Can you link to that? I'm curious now
5:31 how are you using edge without internet?

Welcome to our neck of the woods for a change, glad you got to enjoy some Southeast Asian coffee!

Hope the passengers weren’t too annoyed 😂
Ha I thought this myself but the plane is so loud they barely heard me I'm sure 😂
Welcome to Singapore.
Thank you was a great time if too short!
singapore airlines is superb, and business class to boot!
6:14 Thanks God!
Shout out to Singapore 😂
Great video and a great of endurance. How do you mangage jet lag?

Cool video. But on a 22 hour flight did that only include 8 hours of Laptop time?
Thanks and yeah there's is still sleeping and eating and times you aren't allowed to use the laptop etc 🤷♂️
@@TheUnlockr don’t get me wrong. I liked the video… I don’t think you really tested the battery that much.
how did you get that battery log? 5:27
Open command prompt and type powercfg /batteryreport
Never say hello when in Singapore and should do the local kopi 😂😂😂 and hope you had enjoyed your flight with Singapore Airlines.
I did! Was so good! (You can see what I got into on my IG if curious 😊)

Surface pro 11 review coming as well?
The coffee check was a little late. 🤣🤣
Hah we started at 10pm 😂
@@TheUnlockr your videos are always on point.
So how was Singapore? ❤
Mr Unlocker, good afternoon.
Where you connected to the planes wifi during the trip? Simple browsing usually consumes quite a chunk of battery.
I was connected and using Edge the entire time during when I was working
@@TheUnlockr Roger, quite impressive.
Is this the 13 inch or 15 inch surface laptop?
13
You forgot to say first things first and grab coffee
I said ☕✅ lol
Welcome to Singapore! Any reason why you are here?
Just for this flight and I'm already back in NYC 😂
Can it run very old and very new games? Can you use it for Davinci Resolve?
So you can use it for a lot. There are websites that'll tell you what games run and at what frame rates and Resolve does work but it's in beta and so I'm waiting for an update
Snapdragon X Elite 🔋🔋💪
Which power settings were you using, "Better Battery" or "Better Performance" ?
Better Battery for sure
You should have stayed a while more. Singapore is incredible
I wish I could have
haha that flight isn't that bad
Try a new dell xps 13 9345...you will have even better battery life ;)
How much does such a flight go for?
Depends on when you book and varies a lot honestly
@@TheUnlockrnice that you did that. It s very impactful on the battery life.
so that explains the Singapore post on Insta, I was wondering what you were doing here 😂
Haha yup! Thank you for following me on Insta btw 🙏
Your seat should have a power socket mate 😅
Duh it was just a more fun way to test the battery than putting it on a table and pointing a camera at it
I'm afraid that coffee spoiled to ur laptop 😢
What you doing in Singapore ?
Taking the longest flight in the world lol
....but if you got to do it Air Singapore is the best way to travel.....great food
if it can survive my emirates 2 plane 32 hour flight, then it can survive that.
Nice Nice Nice
🙏🙏🙏
Was there a crib in your hotel room?
Lol yes I was very confused when I walked in 😂
how did you do this! like mentally HOW!
😂
btw not the longest JFYI cool video though
It is the longest nonstop commercial flight. Period.
