You missed a cracker of a climb with them cutting the race short. That balcony road from the D'Aubisque to the Soulor is simply the best road i have ever ridden. Then to top that with the Spandelles is just so tough!
I'm loving these videos Jasper! I felt the cold and nastiness. How much did this cost to enter? It might take me a few years to build up the power profile to be able to do this.
I had a similar experience recently. Did an effort up a 20min climb and a thunderstorm hit near the bottom, started raining halfway up thunder and lightning, and started hailing a few minutes before the top. After turning around at the top my hands were frozen by the time I reached the bottom. And this was on just a short 1hr ride near home! So organisers did the right thing to cancel the stage imo, as some cyclists could have found themselves hypothermic on the next descent, or crashed out of the race.

That was a shame that they stopped the race for the second stage as there were some downhill timed parts where you could have made up time on the leaders! Great content though!
