    Thank you for this video. What is the length and width of the printer once assembled? I'm trying to see if the rubber feet will fit on the desk I have.

      Thanks :-) The dimensions of the printer are depth of 50cm, width 44cm and height including filament role 87cm.
      Width extends to 53cm when you include the display. In depth you need at least 60cm because when the print bed moves backwards it moves over the base of the printer. So you cannot put the base directly to a wall. Does this help or do you need additional measurements?

    Is yours still good? I used to have the Neptune 2S but I had a bunch of issues with bed leveling and no matter what I tried it would unlevel itself, so I’m really really nervous about the 4 Plus because it also unfortunately has manual leveling. I already ordered mine and I’m just doing some research to see if bed leveling is easy or if it’s a hassle.

      Hi there. Yes it’s still good so far and it does a good job. But yes, you have manual leveling of the bed which can take some time to setup correctly. When I bought the printer the preset for the leveling was pretty good but maybe I had luck.
      You talk about your old printer unlevels itself. I did not experience such problems. I had to perform a new leveling recently but I think this was due to high changes in environment temperature. I had to place my printer in a room on the attic and there you have changes between summer and winter time. I think those changes in temperature can lead to something you can call „ unlevel itself“.
      The print bed itself has some unevenness in itself which I cannot correct with manual leveling. But it’s not a big problem. I also read comments on Amazon where people had to order a new bed because theirs was so uneven that they hab bad result in printing.
      I keep my fingers crossed you get a good one. Feel free to come back and tell me when the new printer is arrived and if it works well or if you have problems.

      @@OldSchoolHaunter Yeah haha, I’ve heard if you move the printer you’ll need to re-level it. As for the last part of your comment, especially with larger printers unevenness in the print bed is something that should be expected. My Neptune 2S had a wild amount of unevenness for its size. I remember I’d either have to put paper underneath the plate in certain areas where it’s too low, or just buy a glass plate which will be perfectly flat. Unfortunately I’ve come to learn glass plates don’t work with the Neptune 4 Plus, but I’m hoping the unevenness won’t be a problem because I’m under the impression that the auto bed leveling takes care of that. My printer arrives in two days so I’ll definitely let you know.

    The center of my Elegoon is more to my right its left. How do i fix that?

    • @OldSchoolHaunter
      @OldSchoolHaunter  5 месяцев назад

      What exactly do you mean? When I push the use the menu "Prepare" -> "Move" and klick the house in the center with letter "all" on it to move all axis to home position, the print head is not in the center. The print head is more to the right side, when I look from the front to the printer. It is about 2,5cm or about 1inch outside the center, when all axis are in home position.
      But when starting to print or when performing the leveling of the print bed, the print head moves to the "real" center. So it coordinates are correct when printing. Do you mean this behaviour?

    • @genises200
      @genises200 5 месяцев назад

      @OldSchoolHaunter I believe so. I did the boat print and it got it done really well and it in the center but when leveling when I pree Center doing the paper test it hugs to the right a bit more. I'm nee to this so I have no idea if this is normal or not

    • @OldSchoolHaunter
      @OldSchoolHaunter  5 месяцев назад +1

      So I never though about, if this is normal behaviour or not. Since printing works the correct way it looks like the home position is programmed that way by Elegoo. If you have worries about the home position, then you should contact the support of Elegoo and ask about it.
      I cannot really give you an answer at this point, if this is normal or not :-(

      I think perhaps it's because the sensor for auto-leveling is to the side of the print head, not in the center of it.

    how much long to print benchy

    • @OldSchoolHaunter
      @OldSchoolHaunter  6 месяцев назад

      The benchy was already contained on USB Drive which was shipped with the printer and took 16 minutes to print. As it was already sliced I can't tell you much about the print parameter.

      16 is great, I want to buy this printer instead of side winder x4, do you have any problems with the printer, I think such a large printing table might have some missing steps due to its weight @OldSchoolHaunter

    • @OldSchoolHaunter
      @OldSchoolHaunter  6 месяцев назад

      I own the printer for 3 weeks now and so far there are no issues. But 3 weeks are not very representative. Currently the printer works quiet well. Leveling the table was pretty easy to do. Please do not be confused with the Neptune 4 Max. That one has the largest build volume.

      @@OldSchoolHaunter no I dont confuse, I want to know your choice between neptune 4 plus or sidewinder 4 pro

    • @OldSchoolHaunter
      @OldSchoolHaunter  6 месяцев назад +1

      Ah ok then I misunderstand you :-) Sorry about that.
      Actually I didn't know the sidewinder 4 pro (until now ;-) ). I've chosen the Neptune 4 Plus because I know the company Elegoo and since I hade some issues with my Anycubic Kobra Neo in the past year, it was clear for me not to buy an Anycubic printer again. And the Neptune 4 Plus was a good choice for me, when talking about price and build volume.
      Again, I didn't took a look at the sidewinder 4 pro at that point in time. But the sidewinder 4 pro has a smaller build volume compared to the Neptune 4 plus. I wanted a large print volume and when I take a look at the key facts of the sidewinder 4 pro, it "only" has build volume of 240x240x260mm compared to the Neptune 4 Plus with 320x320x380mm. As I need the larger printing volume, my Oskars goes to Neptune 4 Plus :-)

    So my screen isn’t turning on

    • @OldSchoolHaunter
      @OldSchoolHaunter  3 месяца назад

      My screen freezes from time to time and then I had to remove the cable from of the screen and plug it in again. Then it shows the correct view again. Maybe this helps. In all cases the printer has to be turned on. If this does not help maybe the cable is broken. Have you contacted the support yet?
